We Are To Offer Our Bodies as a Living Sacrifice to God

~ “Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.” Romans 12:1

When we are in Christ Jesus, and He is in us, we have been made Holy and acceptable in His sight. And since we are already Holy and acceptable in His sight, then we are to make our bodies available to be used by Him as we abide in the Spirit of God. Now abiding in the Spirit of God does not mean the world is going to like you, and if the world does like you, then that is a red flag. Because quite honestly you will be hated by the world if you are in Christ Jesus. Jesus said, “If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me first. John 15:18” And sometimes that same thing will even come from some Christian friends, for they will not understand the things that you do by walking in the Spirit. They might want to get you to go to a movie, or some sports game, or watch a television show, or even do some service for them; and the Holy Spirit is telling you, “No, I don’t want you doing that.” The Holy Spirit is saying, “I want you to listen to me. Pay attention to the details, for the details matter in everything. And do NOT even lean on your own understanding of things. I want you to listen to me,” says the Holy Spirit to you. And you know what, when you listen to Him, He is the one that directs ALL your paths. Now that may feel very uncomfortable at the time, because you will most likely come across as uncooperative to some, or they will then accuse you of things you did not do, because they will end up getting upset with you. Now the consequences of that are always in God’s hands. But He wanted you to stand firm. And you know in your heart when that is the case, regardless of what another person says to you.

Now for others or at other times, the Holy Spirit may be telling you to do something else, but it still will match up to the word of God. The Holy Spirit might want you helping out a friend in need. Or comforting someone that has lost a loved one, or those dealing with other close family members that have recently died early in life due to Satan’s diseases of the world or are on the death bed even now. And many of us have been going through difficult times in recent years, and can relate to all the evils of the world that are being perpetrated on everyone and everywhere through coercion tactics and evil forces, which we know is indeed the case from the word of God. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:12 And so the Holy Spirit is saying to you, “Go, comfort that person. Show my compassion through you.” For “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no account of wrongs. Love takes no pleasure in evil, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

And so God is saying, “Listen to Me, Trust in Me, Focus on TRUTH, and allow MY Love to flow through you, in spite of the way people perceive Love or what they think Love should be.” Because when TRUTH is shared with someone that is going against God’s will, they will most likely get angry with you and will not perceive it as Love, because they don’t agree with you. And they may even call you an “ass” for listening to the Holy Spirit for doing what He wants you to do, instead of what they want you to do. But don’t retaliate. Don’t let your flesh control your emotions. Live each and every moment by Faith, for it is Faith from first to last. And lean not on your own understanding, but Trust in the Lord Always.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart,

and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways acknowledge Him,

and He will make your paths straight.

Be not wise in your own eyes;

fear the LORD and turn away from evil.

This will bring healing to your body.

and refreshment to your bones.

Consider having a Bible study yourself and teaching one or two others the Truth of the word of God. Those with ears, they will want to hear. We have many excellent Bible study books that are very easy to use that involve simply reading the word of God and answering the questions provided. The answers themselves are right there in the word of God.

Behold the Lamb of God Who Took Away the Sins of the World

Lord Jesus, teach me the TRUTH of the world we live in today and the Truth of You.

~ “I said there’s nothing in there, in the New Testament about tithing. Tithing is an Old Testament form of financing, the low the Levitical priesthood, and you just can’t argue with that. That’s what it was, and that’s why tithing is not mentioned in the New Covenant that we live in today. We’re to give in accordance with what we have, not with we don’t have. We’re to give joyfully, willingly. But you see Aaron, by putting the emphasis to people and the guilt trips on people as to how much we’ve missed to whom the issue of tithing or giving isn’t how much it’s to whom. I wouldn’t give a penny to a legalistic church any more than if I was in jail I would contribute to the jail fund to build better cells for me. Why would I want to finance somebody keeping you in bondage? So I wouldn’t give a dime to a legalistic teaching church. I would give my life to where grace is taught. And so by putting the emphasis on how much we’ve blinded us to, who am I giving to? So the issue is, where are you going to give that will perpetuate the teaching of the grace of God, so that people can go free in grace and to get free from the law, so that they can be free, as it says in the scripture, to serve in a new way of life. So just when you talk about God’s will go to Romans 12, I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable in the sight of God, it’s already been made holy. It’s already been made acceptable, which is your reasonable act of worship. And be not conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, then you can know and test what God’s perfect will is. So how does you you’re going to keep knowing God’s Will as you continue to renew your mind and to yield to Him and to be available to him? That doesn’t mean you’re not going to fall on your face. Sometimes it doesn’t mean that sometimes you’re going to mess up, but in your heart you are there to say, Lord, what I really want is your will. There’s sometimes I want mine too and and sometimes I give in to that. But Lord, thank You for the fact that you went to the cross to die for those sins, and that you always picked me up and set me back on the right path again.” ~ Bob George

There’s only one place that our sins were judged, and that was at the cross 2000 years ago, and the judgment for that was the fact that we were guilty, and the punishment was death, and Christ took it all, and that’s why there’s none left for you. So as far as further judgment for sins, there isn’t going to be any judgment for sins. How could there be judgment for sins when God has taken away the sins of the world? You know, that’s just kind of ridiculous, isn’t it? That if God was in Christ reconciling the whole world unto Himself, not counting your sins against them, and taking them away, not covering them, taking them away, then how can you be judgment for if there’s already been judgment for sins. So the only person, the only judgment, you and I will never stand in judgment for sins that’s already been judged at the cross. And thank God for that. That’s why Paul was able to say, there’s now no condemnation for those who belong to Christ, Jesus, because the law, the spirit of life, set me free from the law of sin and death. It’s already been it’s already taken place. So when you’re talking about the final judgment, or the Great White Throne Judgment there, that’s going to take place at a predetermined time after the millennial reign, and to those whose names are not in the book of life, are going to be thrown into the lake of fire. And so that’s not a judgment of your deeds. That’s a judgment as to whether or not you’ve been saved or not. If you’ve been saved, you’re in the book. You’ll never be out of the book. He said, I’ll never block them from the book of life. And if your name is not in there, it’s because you’re lost. And that’s the only judgment that the Lost will go through. We won’t even go through that, because that’s a judgment for the lost.” ~ Bob George
