The Willful Sin: Unmasking the Lie of Self-Cleansing Religion
The “willful sin” warned of in Hebrews 10:26 is one of the most tensed and misunderstood passages under the firmament dome. For generations, the religious matrix has weaponized this verse to keep seekers trapped in a state of constant psychological panic, claiming that any behavioral slip-up or moral failure after salvation cancels your redemption.
But when we put this passage under our un-inverted Socratic lens, a devastating courtroom-grade warning is revealed to those who are actively denying the finished work of Jesus.
⚠️ The Warning: Crucifying the Son of God Afresh
When a person is shown the Truth of the completed covenants, yet insists on operating under “ongoing repentance” loops, daily confession rituals, or mechanical prayer cleansings to “stay right” with God, they are committing the ultimate courtroom offense:
- Begging for what is already paid: By begging for recurring forgiveness of debts that have already been legally liquidated, they declare that the Goel’s once-for-all sacrifice was insufficient. This is the very definition of the “willful sin” in Hebrews 10:26.
- Re-crucifying the Savior: By demanding a recurring horizontal sacrifice, they are attempting to drag Jesus back to the Cross to crucify Him all over again to get fresh forgiveness (Hebrews 6:6).
- The Boundary of Legal Remedy: If you reject the single, perfect sacrifice of Christ and insist on standing on your own self-cleansing registry of legalistic works, the Court of Heaven has no alternative currency to offer you. As the scripture plainly warns: “there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins”. You have locked your own mind in denial, leaving yourself entirely without a legal remedy.
⚓ Standing on the Proper Foundation
True salvation is not a fragile tightrope of behavioral performance; it is a life of absolute, childlike dependency on the Savior.
- For those in Christ Jesus: Walking by Faith means resting on the proper foundation. If our weak clay stumbles, the Father does not condemn us. Through the Holy Spirit, He lovingly shepherding us right back onto the proper path. Our slips are not courtroom indictments; they are the relational training sessions of a Father shepherding His beloved children back to vertical dependency.
- For those who deny the Foundation: Those who refuse to place Faith in the basics of the Hilasmos (global propitiation) are left spiritually vacant. Devoid of the indwelling Spirit, they possess no vertical anchor. They are tensed and swayed by every wind of horizontal doctrine, frantically scrubbing their own hardware with religious soap, completely blind to the fact that they are walking straight toward the Great White Throne strictly to be judged by their own bankrupt works (Revelation 20).

True metanoia is a one-way street. If you are still trying to maintain your own standing before God through works of the flesh, you have not yet repented of your self-will.
The warning of Hebrews is urgent: Throw out your moral checklists, discard your self-cleansing registries, and submit entirely to His indwelling Life.
“Come now, and let us reason together,” says TRUTH (Isaiah 1:18).
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Revelation 21:1,2

“I want to tell you something, folks, and I’m not saying this critically, but it is critical to a degree. You and I would not get along in some denominations at all, would we? We have lady that last week was kicked out of her church. We have people, many of you who have been kicked out of your churches. Why? For teaching that God meant what He said, when He said, it’s finished. It seems like people ought to grab a hold of that. Don’t like it. You take me out of the equation, and then if that doesn’t make you mad enough, just go say that tithing is not in the New Covenant, and brother, you’re really going to find some opposition. Why? How am I going to raise money from a building fund if tithing? How am I going to raise money if I can’t keep you under the conviction that God demands you to tithe, and if you don’t, you’re robbing God? You know what that is? Going back to Mount Sinai, just where he told us to stay away from. Saying, “I don’t care what you said, God. I don’t care what you said back at chapter six or chapter 10. That if I deliberately keep on sinning after I receive the knowledge of truth, that that my sins have been taken away forever, and there’s no more sacrifice for sins. I’m going to still have a sacrifice. He said, “You’re going to go to hell. We tell people who’s going to go to hell are the sinners. I’ll tell you who’s the sinner: the person who denies the grace of God, the person who denies the Jesus that brought about the grace of God. It says that in the Scripture, you’re making a mockery of the Son of God, treating as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified us, and acting as if Jesus Christ didn’t even exist.
That’s what sin is from God’s standpoint, and so He’s saying to us to remember your leaders who spoke the word of God to you, consider the outcome of their way, and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever. Don’t be carried away by all kinds of strange teaching. It’s good for hearts to be strengthened by grace and not by ceremonial foods, which are no value to those who eat them. The high priest carries the blood of animals into the most holy place as a seed offering, and the bodies are burnt outside the camp. But Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through His own blood. Let us then go outside the camp. That’s what we’re talking about, bearing the disgrace that He bore. And here we do not have an enduring city, but we’re looking for the city that is to come. Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise. What is a sacrifice? It’s the offering. To offer to God the offer of praise on our lips, the fruit of lips that confess His name, praising God for what? For all He’s accomplished for us. Praising God for the fact that in Him I am a forgiven person. I’m not a who gets forgiven. I am a forgiven person in Christ Jesus. If you believe the Bible, that He has set me apart to be used of God. Our attitude should be: Lord, we wake up in the morning. If you need some lips to use to communicate the gospel, use mine. Need some eyes to see, some ears to hear. I’m available to you. You know what Bible? You know what the Bible calls that worship. Worship, making your body available to the living Christ who lives in you, is your reasonable act of worship.” ~ Bob George

It’s amazing how proud we can be as guys that we’ve never had an abortion. Am I advocating abortion? No, I’m saying pro-life, and I’m also saying pro-choice, because God gave you a choice, did He not? And for me to say I am not pro-choice is to say I’m not for God, because God gave me a choice, and He gave you a choice, and so I’m for both. I’m for pro-choice, and I’m for pro-life. What is my? Is that consistent with the Christian message? Absolutely. God gave you a choice, lady. But God also said that He gave you life. Do you want to take a baby and destroy? Instead of giving that baby a chance to grow up, it was Richard and I, Luton the other day, become like Richard because he could have been aborted very easily, and many other people that we know could have been aborted very easily. I’ve been counseling with people on abortion for I don’t know how many years. I don’t remember one person who ever had an abortion. Never told one person not to get one. Wasn’t my job, my job’s telling about Jesus. My job’s telling them about life, not to become a compromiser and a hypocrite. So you got all these things. What’s your opinion on gun control? Don’t. no, no, no! Not going to elect a. I’m not going to elect a president. Not going to elect somebody that takes alcohol. That’s grape juice. You know, get do not be drunk on grape juice when is excess. What’s wrong with these people? I get down and say, here you’ve got the Lord. You know about Jesus. You talk about Jesus and you act like an idiot. Oh, my Lord would never touch alcohol. Really? What do you think he was drinking? Grape juice? He said, “Don’t get drunk on wine. We’re in his excess. Did he not say, “Don’t get drunk on wine, or did he say, “Do not get drunk on grape juice” Why would he say, “Don’t get drunk, unless wine could make you drunk” There wasn’t any miracle at the wedding of Canaan of turning the water into grape juice. I could have done that with a can of concentrated Welch’s. There wasn’t any miracle to that. It was a fact the fermentation is what the miracle was. Why don’t we tell truth? I’d get kicked out of church if I was there for teaching this, but I also get kicked out of church for teaching First John one nine not to believers. When are we going to start having some appreciation for truth, as the Scripture teaches it, not as we would like it to be?
You know, I’ve said to people some time, if you’re out drowning, which would you rather have-a Christian lifeguard that doesn’t know how to swim, or a Christian, or a non-Christian lifeguard that did know how to swim. We have some funny ideas, guys. Some funny, funny ideas. They say at _____ _______, he committed adultery while he was persecuting _______ for committing adultery-it sounds like a bunch of people up here committing adultery, doesn’t it? As if Washington, D.C. was a holy place. At ____ _______, guys, what did Jesus? You say I’m a follower of Jesus. How many of you say I follow Jesus’ teaching? Then what did Jesus say? He said the law says don’t commit adultery. I say unto you, if you’ve looked at a woman with lust in your heart, you’ve already committed adultery. Now I want to ask you: How many of you want to condemn an adulterer, according to Jesus, not according to the laws like Paul, where he said, “But as far as legalistic obedience, I was without equal. I’m talking about that kind of a guy, or these kind of guys up there acting like they’re just ready to make their ascension into heaven. I know them, and the hypocrisy is unbelievable. Guys. If we’re going to be a follower of Jesus, then we better think like Jesus. And Jesus says that if I’ve ever had the ability to look at a woman with lust in my heart, it’s the same thing as committing adultery. So I had to look at myself as an adulterer in order to come to Christ. Am I right or wrong? So what right do you have to condemn somebody if you’ve done the same thing?
Do you have a right or don’t you? That’s why Jesus said, “I didn’t come to condemn the world. The world’s already been condemned. God has already condemned the world. He said the wages of sin is what? Death. That’s all the condemnation that there is. The wages of sin is spiritual death. But the gift of God is eternal Life. We right or wrong, and so he’s already condemned the world. He said, “In this world, you’re dead. You’re born dead, but I came to give you life. And we stand up with all of these condemnations. I’m not saying any of these things are right. I’m not saying going out and being a drunk certainly is not consistent with who God made us to be, going out and being a drug addict is certainly dumb. To be filling your body up with a bunch of drugs that alter your mind, but God gave us a better way. What’d God say? Renew your mind, think, come to truth. Let my truth set you free. Isn’t that a lot better than don’t do this? Let me set you free, and that’s our role. It says in the scripture that we should not be military, does not get involved in civilian affairs. It says to us, quit getting involved in these things, quit getting involved in them, but we stand up, and that’s what structure does for you. We are the evangelicals. We are moral, really, really. My friends. We have become nothing but a bunch of first-class hypocrites, and if I was the lost world today, looking in on these so-called Christian leaders, I would say, if that’s what Christianity is all about, who in the world needs it? You couldn’t lead me to Christ if you wanted to. If that is an example of Christianity.
I’ll tell you what touches my heart. Someone saying, “I forgive you. I forgive you. We’ve all sinned. We’ve all fallen short of the glory of God. There’s none righteous. No, not one. Now, guys, is that true or is it? Have we come to this mountain or haven’t we? Are we still claiming out of one side of our mouth, “I’m a follower of Jesus, and are standing on the mountain of the law with our own determinations as to what is right and wrong? We’re supposed to be people who are able to identify evil, but you supplement or you identify evil, but you correct that with Jesus. How much good does it tell people don’t get divorced? How much good is it done? How much good has it done to tell people don’t go out and drink? We tried that in probation days. Don’t drink. Well, we just made it in your backyard. How much good is it tell people don’t go out and use drugs? Has it done any good? Not an ounce of good. The issue is that when we get our goal off of proclamation, we’re going to be a compromiser in our souls, and we’re going to be a hypocrite because we’re going to be pointing fingers at you when I got them pointing back at me. And we have to see this, guys. We have to get a grasp of the truth of these things, you are no longer under the law. Can we get that through our heads that we are no longer to go back to Mount Sinai? It isn’t the case of are we under ceremonial laws, but still under the 10 Commandments. You don’t go to Mount Sinai. Period. You go to the empty tomb, and there you find Jesus, and there you find the one who’s called the mediator of a New Covenant, the person who ushered in the grace of God to us in its fullness, so that you and I can walk and love people without judging them. I look to myself, and again, these presidential elections just point out how hypocritically we are, or somebody is. They come out with these kind of statements. Now you got the evangelical community. No, we don’t like these. We we like this guy over there, because you got a different God than we are, you know. He’s a Mormon, but that’s okay. He and divorced, folks. It’s my feeling this, and when he says, “Keep on loving each other” in chapter 13, keep on loving each other as brothers.
Don’t forget to entertain strangers. By doing so, some people have entertained angels without knowing it. Remember those in prisons as if you were their fellow prisoner, and those who are mistreated as if you yourself were suffering. Why didn’t he say, “Remember those who are mixed up but are extremely wealthy? You see, it’s real easy to get into that arena, isn’t it? But who wants to go to prisons? Is it any showy? I mean, not you know you can get a little bit of publicity with that, but people kind of look down on it a little bit. He said the marriage bed should be honored by all. That’s that’s what he says about that. He didn’t say quit doing something. He said the marriage bed should be honored. We ought to be able to figure that out. And the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge adulter and the sexually immoral. He’s already judged it. Don’t do it. Judged it. There’s a better way. There’s a better way than impurity. Keep your lives free from the love of money. Be content with what you have, because God has said, “I’ll never leave you. I’ll never forsake you. If that’s the case, then you don’t have to worry about what your money condition is. And so we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
It says, “Remember your leaders who spoke the word of God to you. The leaders, the people who have communicated the word of God to you, remember them. It says, “Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Don’t imitate their actions. Imitate their faith. If there’s something to imitate, why it’s the fact that hopefully your leaders, whoever they are, are walking by faith and teaching you to walk by faith. Don’t be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings, guys. There’s a lot of strange teachings out there today. It’s good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, by grace, not by ceremonial foods, not by what you eat and what you don’t eat, because whatever you eat goes in and comes out. Don’t have to be a genius to figure that out either, which are of no value to those who eat them. We have an altar from those who minister at a tabernacle that they have have no right to eat. The high priest he carries the blood of animals into the most holy place as a sin offering, but the bodies well they’re burnt outside the camp, and so Jesus also suffered outside of the city, and his blood was outside of the city to make the people holy through his own blood.

Let us then go to him outside the camp, and I’m wondering sometimes outside the camp, inside the camps where all the politicians are, inside the camps where all the spiritual leaders are. Inside of the camp is where the Pharisees were, and the Protestant Pharisees, and the Catholic Pharisees, and just the yous and me’s that are still hanging on to what kills us. That’s where they are. He says, “Go outside of that camp. Get out of that camp. Just as it says, you don’t go to Mount Sinai. You don’t go there either. If you’ve been there, get out of it, bearing the disgrace that he bore. There ain’t any disgrace inside the camp. You’re popular in there. Oh, you know the. To the Southern Baptist Convention, yeah, don by net, yeah. Oh, wow! Isn’t it amazing how stupid we are? I’ve said before that if the president of the United States, of course, the media has done such a job of crucifying him that this story might not be quite as true as it could have been, but if the president of the United States called you on the phone and said, “Hey, I’m coming into Dallas. I’d like to use your car. Could I use your car? Well, you’d say, “Yeah, sure, mr. President. Yeah, you can. Okay, I’ll I’ll be there tomorrow and I’ll pick it up. Well, you’d go down and get that thing washed and scrubbed, wouldn’t you? You’d get a little scratches out of it. You’d just have that car looking immaculate. Why? Because the president’s going to drive it. Well, guys, that’s nice. That would be an honor if the president of the United States would want to drive your car. But Jesus said, “Bob, I want to come and live in you. Not drive it for a day. I want to live in you forever. And we say, “Ho ho hum! If the president used their car, we’d have a we’d have our mailing list out with it. Oh, incidentally, ______ is going to use my car, and and you’d be telling everybody you knew that Jesus lives in you. We don’t open our mouths to anybody. You wonder sometimes how real is what we know to be real in our lives? I see the compromise that people have.

Don’t forget to do good and to share with others. For with such sacrifices, God is pleased. Share with others. Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that be of no advantage to you. Pray for us. We’re sure that we have a clear conscience and desire to live honorably in every way. I particularly urge you to pray so that I may be restored to you soon. May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with every good for doing His will, that He may work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
Brother, I urge you to bear with my word of exhortation, and that would certainly be my plea for you as well-that we all bear with this word of exhortation, that we use our lips to praise God who brought it about. For I’ve written you only a short letter. Took Bob nine months to teach it, but it was a short letter. I want you to know that our brother Timothy has been released, and if he arrives soon, I will come with him to see you. Greet your leaders and all of God’s people. Those from Italy send their greetings and grace be with you all. The end of the book of Hebrews, guys. I’ve said so many times before that if I had one message to give before I died, it would be the message on the New Covenant, which basically is the book of Hebrews. It’s a book that has many times been ignored in our pulpits because we didn’t understand it. I was a Christian for many years before I understood the Book of Hebrews. I used to read it, and it seemed to be like a mystery book to me. Until the reality of the finality of the cross hit me in full force, and the reality of the resurrected life that lives in me hit me with full force. Was the first time when I picked up the book of Hebrews that it all was as clear as could be, and the most dynamic book I believe in the scriptures. All of them are dynamic. This one just has a special place in my heart.
God is continually warning us: Do not grab a hold of something else besides Me. You do not go to an animal sacrifice for forgiveness. You do not go to a priest for forgiveness. You do not get your first John one nines in order to get forgiven. You are a forgiven person, and I want you to hold on to that tenaciously, and I want you to walk by faith in it. Because if you’re not willing to walk by faith in what you could have stood and seen me do, why do you think you’re going to walk by faith in the invisible Christ who lives in you? When you are still playing around with “Am I forgiven? or begging God to give you what in Him you already have, you’re not walking by faith. You’re walking by presumption. God wants us to walk by faith and tells us, “Without faith, it’s impossible to please God. He says, “Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness. There is no more shedding of blood. There is no more forgiveness. That’s why Christ cried out from the cross, “It is finished. He didn’t say it’s almost finished. It will be finished. He said it’s finished. It’s done. I, who knew no sin, became sin for you, so that in me you could become the righteousness of God. It’s done. It’s finished. Now, as a new creature in Christ, walk by faith in that truth, and walk in the goodness of life that God has given to you. Not from not going to Mount Sinai, but you’re going back to New Covenant that I that I came to bring into effect for you. That’s what’s called faith.
Well, let’s pray together, guys, and let’s praise God for this book and for the fact that we finally have finished it. Okay, Father, we want to thank you for this wonderful exhortation. Every time we pick up this Bible, we learn about the discipline of God because that’s what discipleship is: is disciplining our minds to grab a hold of truth and quit being hypocrites in our thinking, to realize that all of us have sinned, we’ve all fallen short of the glory of God. The sins are not right; they were not your best for us. But through the fall, sin became a part of us. And so He’s saying today that let the grace of God now teach us to say no to unrighteousness. The law can’t do it. As a matter of fact, the power of sin is in the law. But you said that it’s the grace of God that teaches us to say no to unrighteousness and to live self-controlled, upright lives in this present generation while we wait for the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, teach us, Father, to use our heads that aren’t based upon legalistic reform. That we’re not here to proclaim morality. We’re here to proclaim Jesus, we’re not here to proclaim the usage or non-usage of a substance. We’re here to proclaim Jesus, and I pray that that will be our goal that we will never get off of for the rest of our lives, and I pray these things in Jesus’ holy name and for His sake. Amen. Amen.
