~ Have you ever wondered exactly how the uncreated Creator of the cosmos emptied Himself to walk as a True Man on this physical dirt?
The Scripture Keys
Before we look at the mechanics, we must anchor everything strictly in the un-inverted Word of God:
- Philippians 2:6–7: Christ, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God, but emptied Himself (Kenosis), taking the form of a servant in the likeness of men.
- Galatians 4:4 & Hebrews 2:14, 17: God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, taking part of the exact same flesh and blood so He could stand as our near-kinsman (Goel).
- John 1:1, 14: The Word was God, the Architect of all things, yet became flesh out of initiating, unconditional love (Romans 5:8, 1 John 4:10).
- Luke 2:52 & Isaiah 50:4: As a boy, He grew in wisdom and stature, having His ear awakened morning by morning to learn as a scholar from the Father.
Here is the raw truth that modern religion constantly glosses over: if Jesus’s birth was just a theatrical show where He stepped onto the earth already holding active, pre-installed omniscience in His infant brain, His human walk would be a simulation. A savior who simply materializes out of thin air as a fully-grown adult on a doorstep might sound impressive to human religion, but in the courtroom of divine justice, He would be legally disqualified. Under ancient property law, to redeem what Adam lost, the Redeemer had to be a direct biological relative—flesh of our flesh, sharing our exact biological hardware. Bypassing the womb would have stripped Him of His Adamic lineage and destroyed His legal standing as our near-kinsman.
Passing through Mary’s womb was the precise biological vehicle God used to execute His voluntary self-emptying (Kenosis). The womb served as a physical partition that created a complete structural absence of pre-incarnate database entries within His developing human brain. This was not active amnesia—where a human mind forgets something it once recorded—because His physical brain had never processed or recorded the creation of the stars. Jesus did not pause His deity; He remained eternally God. But He voluntarily cloaked the independent use of His divine attributes behind the hardware constraints of human biology, choosing to live in total, un-cheated dependency on the Father.
Because His pre-incarnate memories were sealed by the womb, the young Jesus had zero conscious memories of stretching out the canopy or appearing in Old Testament Christophanies. He had to learn about His own uncreated identity strictly from the outside in, sitting on the synagogue floor as a young Hebrew student studying the Old Testament scrolls. When His eyes read Exodus 3:14—“I AM THAT I AM”—the Holy Spirit illuminated the text to His human intellect, revealing: “The scriptures are talking about Me!”. He discovered His calling through faith in the written Word, proving once and for all that the Word of God and the Holy Spirit are fully sufficient for a human walking in absolute, moment-by-moment dependency on the Father.
So Jesus Himself showed us how a perfect Man lives and walks with God on a moment-by-moment basis. He, God Himself, became the perfect Man of God, to be our true Goel Kinsman-Redeemer for EVERYONE!
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Revelation 21:1,2

~ Bob George’s teaching presents salvation as a matter of humanity’s spiritual condition, explaining that all people are born spiritually dead in Adam and therefore cannot attain righteousness through self-effort, moral comparison, or religious activity. He describes Jesus as the only way to life, the only authoritative answer to humanity’s eternal destiny, and the one who lived in perfect dependence on the Father before giving Himself at the cross for the sins of the whole world. The message distinguishes between forgiveness accomplished through the cross and the new life received through Christ’s resurrection, emphasizing that reconciliation to God was secured by His death while salvation is received through His resurrected life. It also teaches that believers become new creations because Christ lives in them, so assurance rests on trusting Christ alone rather than personal merit, law-keeping, or added religious requirements. For that reason, the summary warns that baptism, tongues, church attendance, tithing, good works, and similar additions cannot save anyone and only diminish the gospel’s sufficiency.

Because I can’t behave as God, I’m a man, and the only way I can behave as a man, and so although he considered himself the equality with God, he it said he that even though he was was God, that he humbled himself and became obedient unto death. In other words, he walked as a man, and he said in that walk that I don’t do one earthly thing unless the Father tells me to do it, and I don’t say anything unless the Father tells me to say it. And I love this and how to say it. Isn’t it amazing how two people can say the same thing? One says it one way, and another says it another. One makes you mad, and the other makes you happy. So he told him not only what to say, but how to say it. It’s the same thing would have been true in regard to if everything that Jesus said the Father told him to that would mean everything he prayed the Father told him to. So again he said, “I’m going to teach you how to live in total dependency upon the Father. There’s going to be no rewards for your self effort. It’s going to what’s called wood, hay, and stubble, that one of these days your works will be judged, and and a fire will be set to them to see what survives, and the only thing that’s going to survive are those things that we have allowed Christ to do in and through us. You’re going to have people who have said, “Did you see the 20,000 membership church I built, and Jesus said, “I don’t know who you are. So you’re kidding? No, I’m not kidding. I don’t know who you are. You did it all in the energy of the flesh. Well, again, I say, knowing us and humanity, we’ll be up there saying, “Well, at least my ash pile is bigger than your ash pile. So we’ll be comparing our ash piles with each other. But the issue is that it’s all going to be wood and stubble, and so Jesus said, “There’s one way. I am the way. He said, “I am the way. I am the truth, and I am the life. And no one, and folks, that means no one comes to the Father except through me. I am the way and the truth and the life. Now he didn’t say that in order to be narrow-minded. He didn’t say that in order to be critical. He didn’t say that because he ain’t gonna like ________ or _________ or someone else. He just said that’s the only person, God Himself, the Son of God, the only person whose life is of such quality that he is capable of taking away the sins of the entire world, and of bringing resurrected life to the dead. It is-it’s not the case of being narrow-minded. It’s the case He’s the only one who could do that. The only man who was ever born able to lay His life down for you and me is Jesus. Well, let’s turn to the Second Corinthians chapter five, beginning at the beginning of that chapter. You know, guys, all of us are going to live eternally someplace. This is only temporal down here, and and again, I think maybe times when you’re young and you’re kind of living on the 200-year plan, you you kind of forget about the fact that that your life could be taken from you, even when you’re young, it could be taken from you through accidents, which certainly have occurred in abundance recently. I was hearing the other day that over 25 young people, I think, in the Frisco area, have died of drug overdose and that type of a of a of a of a of a thing in just a recent period of time. We live in a very, very dangerous age, don’t we? But again, the issue is where are you going to go? Because guys, you’re going to live someplace. We’re going to live someplace eternally, and the issue is where. Now, again, where are you going to go to find out about that, the Reader’s Digest? The only place that I know that you can go to find out information as to afterlife is from the One who came from heaven, and that’s Christ Jesus. That He came from heaven to this earth in order to reveal to us what our destiny is. There’s a story of in a Baptist church not too long ago where the guy asked the question, “How many of you want to go to heaven? And everybody in the room held up their hand except this little lady in the back row, and she didn’t hold up her hand. And he said, “Well, let me ask you again. How many of you really want to go to heaven? And everybody again held their hand up except her. So he figured she needed some help. So after the service was over, well, he called her up and stood there and talked to her. And he said, he said, you know, sweet. He said, I was really surprised. He said, you know, we asked the question, how many of you want to go to heaven? And everybody held their hand up, but you didn’t hold your hand up, and she said, “Well, yeah, I know. He said, “Well, don’t you want to go to heaven? Said, “Well, of course. I thought you meant today. And so so it seems like that we’re all kind of want to go to heaven, but just not not today. But it doesn’t make any difference when we go. The issue is that the only way that you can know that you are going to leave this body someday, whether it’s by accident or just by age, that you’re going to be absent from the body and present with the Lord. There’s only one way that you can know that.
Now God could have made many ways, but He didn’t, and of course that’s what religion comes along. He says, “Well, Buddhism will get you there, and Mohammed will get you there, and being a Catholic will get you there, being a Baptist or a Presbyterian will get you there, and then you got a whole group of people that your good works will get you there, and so they’re out desperately trying to work for Jesus. But the issue is that he says, “I’m sorry, guys, but that’s not my plan. And if you’re going to come to Christ, and you’re going to come into someday into heaven, you’re going to have to do it according to my plan. There’s only one way that I can do this, and the only way that I can assure you of eternal life is to first of all I’ve got to take away eternally some way the sins of the world because the wages of sin according to God is what? Death so I’ve got to take away eternally the cause of spiritual death because you and I are born in Adam, dead spiritually. You know, you this old deal that we’re basically good people. You know, you hear that all the time. Just killed three people and raped a couple, but I’m basically a good person, and you hear that. Well, somebody said you just haven’t seen a baby come out of a mom’s womb. She is not that little baby. Doesn’t come out saying, “Please, mommy, give me some milk. She’s yelling and screaming like a Comanche Indian, and through the life, babies. You just haven’t looked at babies if you think we’re basically good. Now, remember when they came to Jesus and they said, “Good, good teacher.” He said, “Why do you call me good unless you’re going to call me God? Because only God is good. Now that told us something. We’re not; He is, and yet we will have the audacity to say, “Well, I’m basically a good person. Where God says, “According to who? According to one another? Well, yeah, but how about according to me, because the standard of righteousness is not you and me, the standard of righteousness is Jesus. So how you doing up next to Him? There’s the issue up next to Jesus. How are you doing?

Adam was created alive spiritually and chose death, and Jesus was born alive spiritually and also chose death in order to die for my sins. Everyone else was created dead, born dead, and created dead. You know that people will say, “Well, you know we’re all God’s children. No, we’re not. Read fifth chapters of Genesis. It says, “When Adam, when God created Adam, He created him alive spiritually. But He said, “When Adam and Eve had Seth, Seth was born in the image of Adam. Adam was created in the image of God. We were born in the image of Adam. We were not born alive spiritually as Adam was created. We were born as Adam became dead. And guys, in case we haven’t figured it out, if you’re dead, you got a problem, and it’s a worse problem than sin. You see, if all you’re ever dealing with or hearing from the pulpit is sin, and not the fact that there’s a consequence to sin called death, you’ve missed the whole point of salvation. And that is exactly what we have done in our Christian teaching. We have concentrated on the cross instead of what the apostles concentrated on, and that was the resurrection, where Paul said, “Without the resurrection, we’re to be pitied of all people and are still in our sins. Without the resurrection, knowing full well that a cross had occurred where he took away the sins of the world, but also knowing that that forgiveness that was provided for us then can only be received in the resurrected life of Christ. That’s the dynamic, guys, of life. This is where life comes from. The cross is death. The resurrection is life. Now, what kind of life is it? Well, resurrected life is the kind of life. It’s Jesus’ life coming to live in you and me, and to bring life to us. I came that you might have what? Life. I am the way and the truth and the what? Life. He who has the Son has what? Life. Who does not have the Son does not have life. I am the resurrection and the life. And whosoever believes in me, though he were dead spiritually, yet shall he live. And whosoever lives and believes in me will never die. Said, do you believe that? Because if you don’t, you’re going to remain dead. So God doesn’t send people to hell. We send ourselves to hell. God doesn’t condemn anyone to hell. He just says you’re born dead, and I’m going to give you the opportunity to receive life. Do you want it? When you refuse it, you remain dead. Are we together? And when you accept it, you come alive. So that if any man be in Christ, he’s what a new what? Creation. You see, we were born of mom and dad. I was a creation from God. God did that. God took care of my spiritual birth. Mom and dad took care of my physical birth. But I’m a new creation. Old things have passed away, and behold, all things have become what? Brand new. What’s new? Jesus lives in you. Now Christ did not come to live in you to take a vacation and to sit around and eat bonbons and you know and and and lounge. He came to accomplish something. He came to live in us, and he came to be the source of power for you and me to live the Christian life. I have the ability now because now Jesus lives in me to participate. The Bible says in that divine nature that lives in me, but I also have the unfortunate experience of participating in my flesh, don’t I? Two desires crying out within you: the desires of the flesh, always to kill, steal, and destroy, always satan motivated, and the desires of the the spirit always leading you into the paths of righteousness. And that’s our choice, guys. It’s not how bad you’ve been; it’s how dead you are. And you see, when we used to go door to door witnessing with people, and and I’ll tell you, spatially did I see this among ______ people, where we’d be down to Highland Park with a lot of _______ people, and whenever you quoted the scripture, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, it was, “Hey, don’t call me a sinner; I’m basically a good person.
Amy and I were with some people on a vacation type deal, and all the ladies said, “Nice lady. They’re from from over in France or someplace, but all she would say is, “I’m a good person. I’m a good person, and and I’ll tell you, you know, it’s not easy to say, “No, you’re not. But I said, “No, you’re not, because if you don’t agree with God, what He says about you, how are you going to agree with Him, what He says about Himself?

Because for me to be saved, I have to agree with God first and foremost what He said about me. He said I’m dead, and He said I’m a sinner. And then, and now, if I agree with him, well, how big of a sinner? All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. There’s none righteous, no, not one. That pretty well takes care of it. And an unrighteous person will never go into the presence of God. So now I know my condition. Now I’m ready to hear about his provision. If I got a brain. If if that’s true, now is there a provision for this, or do I just pull myself up by my bootstraps and work harder? Said no, there’s a provision, and it’s Me. That’s what I came to do: was to give you life. I took away what caused your death at the cross, every sin that anyone has ever committed was taken away at the cross. Do you believe that or don’t you? How many sins did Jesus die for at the cross, guys? Had a lady call the other night, and she said, “said Well, if you come to Christ, yeah, what was your understanding? Well, Jesus died for my sins. Well, how many of them? How many of them did he die for? Well, all that I had done up to the day I came to Christ. In other words, all of my past sins. And I said, how many of your sins were future sins when Jesus died for you 2000 years ago? I don’t think you’re that old. How many of your sins did Jesus die for 2000 years ago, guys? And how many of them are in the future? Seems to me all of them. He lied for the sins of the whole world back to Adam and forwards to eternity, and there he who knew no sin became sin for you and me, so that we could become the righteousness of God. Where? In Him, in Him. What’s that mean? In His resurrection. You see, many times we’re we’re just satisfied. We’re walking down the aisles and saying, “Oh Lord, please forgive my sins, and take walk back to the pews as dead as you walk down the aisle. See, that’s why they call them pews. There’s so many dead people sitting in them. Guys, you’re not saved by getting your sins forgiven. I want us to understand that you couldn’t have one without the other, but please don’t mistake one for the other. The forgiveness of sin was what prepared you for salvation, and you couldn’t have salvation apart from that preparation. But please do not believe that salvation is getting your sins forgiven.
You’re saved by His life, Romans five eight. While we were yet enemies, that means what? Lost. We were. That’s past tense. Reconciled to God through the death of His Son. So when were you reconciled? You were born reconciled. How much more, having been reconciled, shall you be saved by His what? His life. You’re not saved by the death of Christ. You’re saved by the life of Christ. Now you could not be saved with eternal life, had it not been for the eternal consequence of the cross. Do we understand that? So when you’re denying the assurance of your salvation, you’re denying that you’re saved eternally. What you’re doing is denying the cross. You’re spitting in the face of Jesus and saying you didn’t you didn’t get them all, God? You forgot one. The assurance of salvation, eternal life, eternal salvation is not to me even a theological issue. It’s an issue of are you going to believe Jesus did what He said or aren’t you? Because if Jesus took away forever the sins of the whole world, and what is it that caused spiritual death? Sin. What do you do with your sin? Took it away eternally. Had it not been for that act, you and I wouldn’t have eternal life today. Well, I see. Now you tell somebody that, and they’re going to go out, and you’re just giving them a license to sin. I tell people I don’t need a license to sin. I sin quite well without a license, and so do you. I haven’t noticed that people under the law have been less sinners.
As a matter of fact, does not the Bible say that the power of sin is in the law? And if you want to keep a guy sinning, just keep him under the power of sin, and you’ll keep him under the law. Under the law, and you’ll keep him under the power of sin, and then beat him up next Sunday, and then say, “Y’all come back and beat you up again. Now, guys, that’s salvation. It can only be accomplished by one person, not being narrow-minded. That’s God’s way. God had a way to save you and me. He loved you so much that He says, “I’m going to have to. I want to save you. I want to save you from your condition of spiritual death, and the only way I can do that is through my resurrected life. And in order for me to be resurrected, I got to die. In order to die, I’m going to have to pay the price for their sins. So I’m going to have to suffer. That’s the suffering Messiah. So he came to this earth. He fulfilled the law in its entirety by walking in perfect love. And the Scripture tells us that perfect love is the fulfillment of the law. So he fulfilled the law by walking in perfect love, and having fulfilled the law, he then died. In the gospel, remember two weeks ago we were studying what is the gospel: death, burial, and resurrection. Why did he put burial in there? It’s a proof of death. What’s important about that? Because in Hebrews, it talks about a will. How many of you have a will? Okay, and when will that will go into effect? When you die. Now you’ve made it now, haven’t you? And you could make a bunch of them along the way, but the only one that will go into effect is the last one that you made prior to death. So, and and your death has to be proven before the will goes into effect. And so that’s the it’s the meaning of of he he walked on this earth, and he and he died. He was he went to the cross and he died, and then he’s raised to life.
Now, what was the purpose of raising him to life? If you and I are going to come alive, how are we going to have to? What’s going to have to happen to us? We have to be raised, aren’t we? We’re going to be raised from the dead. That’s the first resurrection, really, for you and me. When we were born again, we were raised from our condition of spiritual death. All of us were born dead. There’s your problem, guys. It’s not how again. It’s not how bad you’ve been or how good you’ve been. How are you going to measure that? How are you going to judge someone by how bad you’ve been? What if what if you measured it? If you were 51% you’re okay, and you say, “Well, I got the 50 and a half. Lord, please. I mean, you’re not going to get me for just that little half percent, are you? You can’t measure someone that way by how good. How good would you have to be? I’ve asked rabbis before. You believe in a Messiah? Absolutely, I believe in a Messiah. Just how much greater is he going to have to be than Jesus? How many more miracles is he going to have to do than Jesus did? Just how much more loving is your Messiah going to have to be than Jesus was? How many more miracles is he going to have to perform than Jesus did? It’s a never-ending question, and so he neutralized the entire world. He took the law away at the cross. Remember, it was nailed to the cross. You know, you’re never going to be saved by the law. No man will ever be declared righteous in the sight of God through what? Obedience to the law. Why? Because you can’t do it. And James says, if you’ve obeyed the whole law and just violated one. You violated all of them. Is that right or wrong? Do you want to go stand before God, saying I was a law keeper? Not me, you? Say, Lord, did you see how good I was? Said, Yeah, I sure did. That’s why you’re going to hell.
You’re not gaged by how good you are. You’re gaged by how dead you are. That’s the whole issue. No man will ever go to hell because of his sins. Do you believe that? Only one sin. Jesus said the world’s sin is what? Unbelief in me is only one sin, only one question God will ever ask you. What did you do with my Son? So I ask you, what did you do with the Son of God? Ignored him, passively indifferent toward him, belligerent toward him, or accept him, because if you’ve accepted him, you have eternal life. You say, “Well, man, I don’t deserve this. None of us did. If we got what we deserved, we’d all go to hell, wouldn’t we? Aren’t you glad you don’t get what you deserve from God? And so the whole issue is that when you get absent from the body, and you go into the presence of God. The question that’s going to be asked is, “What’d you do in the Son? Now, obviously, He already knows the answer to that. Or, what did you do to deserve to be in my heaven? What if God asked you that question right now? Let’s say you got just kind of went up there. What did you do to deserve to get up here? Well, Lord, didn’t you see stained glass windows that I bought, and didn’t you see that I went to church, and did you see that I tithed occasionally? I told people I tithe all the time, but since occasion, I’ll be honest with you, Lord. Just a white lie, though. It’s not. That’s not like a lie. It’s just a little white one. I was good. Oh, I was good. Is that what you’re going to say to him? Are you going to say, Lord, I didn’t do anything except accept your Son? There’s only one reason that I deserve to be in your presence, and that’s your reason that I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior, and I became born again.
Now, guys, is that good news or is it bad news? You see, if you’re all puffed up with legalism and you’re all puffed up in self righteousness, and believe me, that is very prevalent. Puffed up in self righteousness. You don’t like that message. That’s why people want to add to the gospel. Now remember what he said saved you: death, burial, and resurrection. Do you see anything in there about baptism? Anybody see anything about baptism and death, burial, and resurrection? I don’t see anything. Do you? Well, then why do people teach that you got to be baptized to be saved? Because they’ve added to the gospel. And you know what Paul says about anyone who adds to the gospel? Let him forever be accursed. Why? Because he’s telling lies that can send people to hell. Because if I believed that all I had to do to be saved was go in that place and get dunked up there, then that dunking is what saved me. Am I right or wrong? And guys, let me tell you something. Any time that you add to the gospel, whatever you add becomes the focal point of everything that you do. That’s what you talk to people about. That’s what you tell them they need to do to be saved. Church of Christ, Baptismal regeneration-that’s how you’re saved, dunked in our waters, and don’t have any musical instruments. Where that came from, I don’t know. Can be nice people, decent people, but not good people. And God says you’re not saved if you believe there’s anything that can save you except Jesus, nothing you do can save you. Do you believe that? And you have people add tongues. If you don’t speak in tongues, you’re not saved. Where do you find that? Where do you find death, burial, resurrection in tongues? And just how important would that be, guys? If you didn’t have a tongue, what if you got your tongue cut out when you were over as a GI in Japan and was in those concentration camps? Would sometimes they cut the tongue the tongues out of people? What do you do? A second-rate citizen from that point on lost your salvation? You see, anything we do can be taken away. It’s irrelevant. It’s only what he did. So whenever you add anything to the gospel, you’ve diminished the gospel.
