Classic Christianity – Bob George – Easter Part 3 (04-23-25)

Bob George Presents: Easter Part 3

~ Jesus Gives A New Spirit and a New Heart to Everyone Who Places Faith in Him
~ “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 36:26

~ This was fulfilled for each of us the day we placed Faith in Jesus, the True Jesus, not one of our own 1st Imaginations. And folks, there are lots of people walking around today that think they have been born again of the Spirit of God, when in reality they have been brainwashed into believing Satan’s lies through the teaching of Man in the doctrines of demons. There is hardly a church around today, where the pastor himself was not taught by Satan’s transformed ministers of righteousness. They look good on the outside, but are full of dead man bones on the inside. And those of us who have seen first hand what is really going on within the organized church can testify to the fact to the teaching of lies that are so prevalent today. And the more training a pastor has had, the more indoctrinated they are into the doctrines of demons. And make no mistake about it, this was ALL planned out by Satan, to infiltrate everything imaginable, and make it seem like the things of the world are true, and God’s word a lie. So each of us has to get back to basics and allow the Holy Spirit to renew our minds with Truth:

Never may it be! But let God be true, and every man a liar, as it has been written: “That You may be justified in Your words, and will prevail in Your being judged.” Romans 3:4

For we all have been deceived by Satan. And God is the one who has to renew our mind with Truth. Don’t even lean on our own understanding of anything today. But in everything, I’ll say again, In EVERYTHING take it to God in prayer. Ask Him to have your eyes open to the full Truth of what is happening in the world today. And if you are not sure if you have received the True Jesus, trust in Him, God in flesh to Have forgiven ALL your sins on the cross and trust that God is no longer counting any of your sins against you, and He will send His Holy Spirit to give you a New Heart this very moment in time. He gives you His Life which is Eternal, and will never leave you nor forsake you no matter what happens in your life. Nothing can separate you from His Love.

…..

And a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher, having done what, will I inherit eternal life?”
And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good, except God alone.

~ “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:12

~ Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; the one believing in Me, even if he should die, he will live. And everyone living and believing in Me shall never die, to the age. Do you believe this?” John 11:25,26

Pray to God:

Do you really want to know the WHOLE Truth of what is going on today?

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7

Lord Jesus, teach me the truth of the world today and give me the wisdom to know the truth and identify the lies of the devil. Thank you God.”

~ “If you can imagine the scene here of people so angered at Jesus for no other reason except telling the truth for no other reason than saying all of your religion is on the outside, but God’s looking on the inside. And all of us have a problem on the inside. There’s not a person sitting in this room that didn’t have a problem on the inside, and that’s why Jesus said it’s not what a man takes in his mouth that defiles a man, but it’s what proceeds out of his heart that defiles him. We don’t have drinking problems, we have heart problems. We don’t have drug problems. We have heart problems, the problems that we have in our marriages, in our interpersonal relationship with each other, are heart problems. It is not the circumstances, it’s our hearts. And Jesus came to change hearts. As a matter of fact, he came to give us new hearts, our old one isn’t worth changing. And so that’s where new birth is a necessity. Is because we needed, we needed something new to be interjected in order to enable us to live a life that God has called us to live.” ~ Bob George

Attitudes of the Heart

Announcer 0:13
Welcome to Classic Christianity Radio with Bob George as we enter into Easter season, we are reminded how much we are loved and accepted by God. Jesus willingly died on the cross so that we could have complete forgiveness for our sins. So many people say that they were saved because their sins were forgiven, but that is only half of the gospel. Man is not merely saved by the death of Christ, but by the life of Christ. Romans 5:30 says that, For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his son, how much more having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life? Jesus came to give us life. He came to this earth to identify with us in our death, so that we could identify with him in his resurrection, join Bob George as he teaches us about the true meaning of the resurrection. Jesus Christ gave His life for us so that he could give his life to us so that he could live his life through us.

Bob George 1:13
If you can imagine the scene here of people so angered at Jesus for no other reason except telling the truth for no other reason than saying all of your religion is on the outside, but God’s looking on the inside. Is because we needed, we needed something new to be interjected in order to enable us to live a life that God has called us to live.

And so because of teaching this truth, they were so angered at him that they struck him in the face once more. Pilate came out to the Judaeans. And when you’re talking about Judaeans folks, you’re not talking about Judaean people there. You’re talking about the Judaean religious people, not all people, but just the religious people, the people who were hell bent on getting their interpretation of the Scripture across, and so that’s who he was talking about. Now he came out and they said, he said to them, Look, I’m bringing him out to you to let you know that I find no basis for this charge against him. And when Jesus came out wearing the crown of thorns, and you can imagine, if you’ve ever been in that part of the country, even in this part of the Country, where Country where those crowns of thorns are, and sticking that down on a man’s head and having the blood coming all over his face and the pain of that type of thing. And Pilate said to Him, well, here is the man.

As soon as the chief priest and official saw him, they shouted, Crucify, crucify. But Pilate answered, you, take him and crucify him. As for me, I find no basis of charge against him. But the Judaeans insisted we have a law. They said it’s our law, and according to that law, he must die. Why did they bring Him to Pilate? Because they said, under our law, we can’t kill a man. So in other words, we’ve already determined his death. He doesn’t need a trial. He doesn’t need testimony. We’ve already made a determination about him. He’s guilty and he’s deserving of death, but according to our law, we can’t kill him. So I’m going to turn him over so you can kill him. It’d be against our religion for us to kill him. You begin to see the hypocrisy of religion and the stupidity of religion that’s all based on outside performance with no thought of all for mercy and love and kindness and forgiveness. And so when Pilate heard this, he said he was even more afraid, and he went back into the palace, and he said, Where do you come from? But Jesus gave him no answer, and he said, Do you refuse to speak to me? Pilate said, Don’t you realize I have the power to either free you or to crucify you? And Jesus said, You would have no power at all if it were not given to you from above. And therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin. From then on, Pilate tried to set Jesus free, but the Judaeans kept shouting, if you let this man go, you’re no friend of Caesar. Anyone who claims to be a king opposes Caesar. And in essence, if you keep insisting on letting him go, we’ll go to Caesar and tell him what you did. And when Pilate heard this, he brought Jesus out again, and he sat down at the judge’s seat at a place called the stone pavement called Galbatha. And it was the day of preparation of Passover week, about the sixth hour, and he said, Here is your king. Pilate said to the Judaeans, but they shouted, take him away. Take him away, Crucify Him. He said, Shall I crucify your king? We have no king except Caesar. The chief priest answered, and finally, Pilate handed him over to be crucified. So the soldiers took charge of Jesus carrying his own cross, and they went out to a place called the Skull, which, in Aramaic, is called Golgotha, and you can see again of where that took place.

It’s a little difficult to see in a picture. There might be another one there that’s even a little easier to make out, but there you can see the eyes and the nose that is in that stone that has been there for 2000 years. And when you’re there, it’s very clear. You can see it very clear. It’s a little more difficult in the picture, but it’s a place called the Skull, and here they crucified Him. Now Jesus was not as we’re talked about, crucified up on a hill. At the foot of this rock is the street, and it was one of the busiest intersections in that part of Jerusalem. It was a main road from north into Jerusalem, and so the heavy traffic would be there. And when they crucified people, they did so so that the people walking by and the heavy traffic could watch what was taking place. So Jesus was not on a hill. He was down on the ground in front of this place called the Skull. And here they crucified him with with two others, one on each side, and Jesus in the middle.

Now, Pilate had a notice prepared and fastened to the cross. In it he read Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Judaeans. Now, many of the Judaean read this sign for the place where Jesus crucified was near to the city. So in other words, the religious leaders would have not come out to have seen this act, because it would have defiled them so that they couldn’t celebrate Passover quite as well. But when they heard that there was a sign up there saying, King of the Judaeans, they immediately the chief priests went and protested to Pilate, and they said, don’t write King of the Judaeans. But that man claimed to be King of the Judaeans. Don’t write that. And Pilate said what I’ve written, I’ve written. Now, when the soldiers crucified Jesus, they took his clothes, dividing them into four shares, one for each of them, with the undergarment remaining. And this garment was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom, let us not tear it. They said to one another, let’s decide a lot who will get it. And this happened so that the scriptures might be fulfilled, which said They divided my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing, a part of a prophecy hundreds of years prior to this event. So that’s what the soldiers did.

Now near the Cross of Jesus stood his mother. You can imagine those that are mothers and fathers in this room who’ve just seen their little ones up here singing and raising them into adulthood and having to stand there and watch their son crucified, beaten half to death at the cross. And here was his mother, his mother’s sister, her mother’s sister, in another one of the gospel, is identified as Salome, the wife of Zebedee. Now, Zebedee, if you remember that James and John were called the Sons of who? Of Zebedee, and so his mother’s sister was John’s mother, the apostle John’s mother. So we’ll see a little bit as we understand that, a little bit more as we read why Jesus said what he said to John, when Mary and said, Mary, the wife of clopas and Mary Magdalene. Now, when Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple he loved standing nearby, which was his cousin, John, he said to his mother, Dear woman, here is your son. And to the disciple, he said, here he’s your mother. And from that time on, the disciple took her into his home so they were relatives. Now later, knowing that all of this is completed, so that the scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, I’m thirsty. A jar of wine and vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, and they put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant and lifted it to Jesus lips. Now, prior to this event taking place, when Jesus first went to the cross, there was also an occasion where they tried to put something in his mouth, but that was like a pain killer. That was like to put a man out, which became a custom that was brought about by Hebrew women in that day who would observe crucifixion. And their hearts were so touched by that that they convinced the officials to let them give them this type of thing so that people would not be aware of to the extent of the suffering that they had to go through. And you remember when they tried to put that in Jesus’ mouth? He refused it. He said, No, no painkiller for me. I’m going to bear all of this. I have to bear all of it. There’s no relief for me. Now, after hanging there on the cross for six hours, he was put on the cross at about nine in the morning and hung there until three in the afternoon. It said about halfway through that about noon that the sun became blocked out and dark, and he hung there by himself, all alone, dying for you and for me. Jesus was betrayed, and all the disciples left him. He was by himself. He was taken to Caiaphas house by himself. He was beaten in Caiaphas house all by himself, probably, as we saw, held overnight down in a hole about that big that had to be you, let down with a rope and without able to move, and that’s how they kept people and removed the rope all by yourself, down in that hole by himself. He was sent over to Pilate’s house and again, tortured by himself, sent over to Herod’s house and made fun of him, back over to Pilate’s house, all of that in a very short period of time, back and forth across the city, in that beaten condition. And then he died by himself. No pain killer, no relief. I have to take it all for the sins of the entire world, and folks, that’s you and me.

You know, sometimes there’s a big controversy, and especially among the J@@s and they because they have been subject to a lot of stupid conversations by so called Christians, which were probably no more than religionists, but called Jesus, killers, Christ killers. And there’s a resentment there. But you see, God worked it out in such a way where the Judaeans the religious leaders, were the ones who incited the crucifixion, but the Gentile Romans carried it out. But in the final analysis, people will say, who killed Jesus? Who killed Jesus? And I say, I killed Jesus. My sins killed Jesus, and I’ve been the only person who was ever born on the world he would have died for me because of my sins. So who carried it out is irrelevant. It’s the issue that each and every one of us sitting in this room can say, I killed Jesus. It was my sins that caused him to die.

Jesus said that He came that we might have life and have it abundantly. John, 10:10, yet the average professional Christian often says that there is nothing abundant about my life. I know that my sins are forgiven and that I am going to heaven, but I still experience doubts, fears, frustrations and defeat. Surely, there must be more to this Christian life. Find out more about how you can experience the abundant life that God wants you to have by going online to www.bobgeorge.net and order the Bible study book on a closer look at the resurrection. Bob George 15:22
Now. It said after, as the scripture says, He who knew no sin became sin after he took upon himself the entire Sins of the entire world, forever, folks, this is a one time deal. This was not like the sacrificial system in the Old Testament under the Old Covenant, whereas in Hebrews it says, Every priest stands and performs his religious duties over and over and over again, which can never take away sin. All they could do was cover sin, but they could not take it away. It was only the Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world. And it says he died, he said it is finished. Why did he say it’s finished? It was finished. His work was done.

Folks, you go over in that part of the country, or just visualize standing there, not a religion, not a doctrine, but a man. And his name was Jesus of Nazareth, and he was there hanging on a cross being tortured by man and from and God said, Here is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, identified as such by John the Baptist. And he looked down. He said, Father, forgive them. They don’t know what they’re doing. And he cried out, paid in full. It’s done. It’s over. It’s finished. Folks, that’s not a theology, that isn’t something to be debated, as we’ve done for 2000 years of people bouncing back and forth, still seeking forgiveness. If you stood today and looked into the face of the bleeding Jesus and he said, it’s finished, I would dare you to look at his face and say, Oh, is that positional forgiveness or is that experiential forgiveness? I would dare you to say that to him. I would dare you to look into the face of the bleeding Jesus and saying, Well, that’s fine, but if I confess my sins, why you’ll forgive them again. I would dare you to say that to him, but a man who stood there on a cross and bled and died to take away your and my sins, not over and over and over, but one time for all and said it’s finished, it’s finished. And when God says something is finished, it’s finished. Now you and I can walk in unbelief, if we want to through our lives. And that’s exactly what most of the Christian world is doing today. Is doing nothing but walking in total unbelief, spitting in the face of Jesus, saying, I don’t believe you, Jesus, when you stood there, or you were hung there, and you said, it’s finished, I don’t believe you. You just don’t understand what being in our fellowship is, Lord, and we’ve made a religion out of an event that took place by a man called Jesus of Nazareth who died. That’s not something to debate. That’s not a theology to discuss. That is our reality to enter into. It’s not a Christian religion. It’s a Jesus truth. There he died for the sins of the entire world, not twice, but once. And what did he say? It’s finished.

He bowed his head and he gave up his spirit, Father, into Thy hands, I commit my Spirit, and He died to death just exactly like you and me, so that we could experience a resurrection exactly like his. Why did he die? So that we could live. Unless a seed falls into the ground and dies at what abides alone. Had he not died, we would not be alive today. Had he not died, we could not be celebrating what we’re celebrating today, and that’s the resurrection of the living one. Why? We’d be dead too. And so he died so that you and I can live.

Now, it went ahead to say that it was the day of the preparation. The next day was to be a special Sabbath, because the Judaeans did not want the bodies left on the cross during the Sabbath. God forbid they asked Pilate to have the legs broken or the bodies to take down. Folks in a crucifixion. You. Are hanging there, suffocating with there’s just enough room to lift your legs to get some air, and when your legs sag, you can’t get air. And what happens at a crucifixion is you suffocate to death. And so here is they’re trying to get air, and that can go on, they say, sometimes a day or two. So they did not want that to happen. So what they would do is to break the bones. And when that occurred, your legs would collapse and you would suffocate. Well, so long as you still have your legs, you could lift yourself up and get some air. When your legs are broken. You can’t lift yourself up. And so they went to break the legs of those three men, they found something very strange. Jesus had already died, and that also fulfilled the prophecy that said they would never break not one bone in his body would be broken. They broke the legs of the other two men, and they suffocated and died. Now it says the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first man who had been crucified with Jesus, and then of the other. When they came to Jesus, he found he was already dead, and they didn’t break his legs. Instead, one of the instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water. Some doctors have said that is an indicator of a broken heart when blood and water flows together. Why? Well, it came into his own. His own received Him not. He came into the people that he loved. He loved, and one out of the 12 turned him in, and the rest scattered. Now, he said, This man who saw has given his testimony, and his testimony is true. He knows, and he tells the truth and he testifies so that you also may believe that these things happen so that the scriptures would be fulfilled. Not one of his bones will be broken, and another scripture says they will look on the one whom they have pierced.

Now later on, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly he feared the Judaeans, and with Pilate’s permission, he came and took away the body. He was accompanied by Nicodemus, the man earlier who had visited Jesus by night. We all know that name, don’t we? The one that He said, You must be born again too. Taking Jesus body, the two of them wrapped it with spices and strips of linen. This was in accordance to with the Jewish burial customs, at a place where Jesus was crucified, there was a garden. Now it says that at the place where Jesus was crucified, there was a garden. Folks the reason that the people believe that this was a discovery that was made, that this is the actual tomb of Jesus Christ. Is because of these statements that where he was crucified, which was that rock that we just saw, the Skull, that is all a part, all a part of this garden. Now you’re not going to find that any place else in Jerusalem. Now you’ve got a church there that has built their church over top of where they say he was crucified, but that has nothing to do. Number one, I don’t think you build churches on top of that thing, but they got one of those. But when you see you see the fact this was outside the city, you see the fact that this skull was all a part of this garden. We’re going to see that this tomb was a tomb that was never completed, which is read about in the Scripture. And I’m going to tell you, besides those things, when you are there, something comes over you, and you know that you are standing at the tomb where our Lord Jesus Christ was laid and where he was raised from the dead.

Now it says that with Pilate’s permission, that he took that away and accompanied by Nicodemus. Then taking the body, the two of them wrapped it with spices and strips of linen. Now it says up here, before we did, he was accompanied by Nicodemus, the man who earlier had visited Jesus at night. Nicodemus brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes about 75 pounds. So Jesus was wrapped in 75 pounds of materials, and the wrappings that you wrap a corpse in, in that time, 75 pounds of it. And then people say, Oh, he was just he was just injured, and he got out of those clothes, and he moved that stone all by himself. And the. Romans that were guarding it. They didn’t hear it sound sleepers. And there are people who deny that Jesus was raised from the dead. How in the world to get out of all those clothes? Like to wrap you and me up and send me five pounds of that stuff and see how, how we’d get out of it? So he was there now, taking Jesus’ body, they wrapped it, and this was accordance with Hebrew burial custom. At the place where Jesus was crucified, there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb, which no one had been laid, because it was a Hebrew day of preparation. And since the tomb was nearby, they just laid Jesus there. And folks, I just cannot emphasize enough that when you see this garden, and underneath this garden is a natural, huge spring that has been watering this thing for 2000 years, that garden has never gone away.

Now, early the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw the stone have been moved away. And there’s a there’s a picture of the inside of the tomb. That’s not the stone. It’s a replica of the kind of stone that would have been in front of the tomb and sealed there. They came running to Simon Peter, the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, they’ve taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they’ve put him, so we know the story that they ran to see him, and the disciples then went back to their homes. But Mary, she stood outside of the tomb crying, and as she went, she went over to look into the tomb, and saw two angels there seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot. And they asked her, Woman, why are you crying? She said, I’ve taken my Lord away, and I don’t know where they’ve put him. And at this she turned around and she saw Jesus standing there, but she didn’t realize it was Jesus. Woman, she said, Why are you crying? He said, Why are you crying? Who is it that you’re looking for? Thinking that he was the gardener, sir, if you’ve carried him away, tell me where you’ve put him and I’ll get him. And then he said to her, Mary, that she turned to him and cried out an aramonic Rabbi, which means teacher.
