Classic Christianity – Bob George – Chosen in Him Part 3 (04-30-25)
Bob George Presents: Chosen in Him Part 3
~ How is it, that People Call God a Liar ALL the Time?
~ It’s a sad state of affairs today, that people call God a Liar. They don’t believe that God has forgiven the sins of the whole world. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg in calling God a Liar. They instead listen to the doctrines of demons taught by Man, that says, Jesus didn’t die for everyone, just for some people. And there are even so-called grace teachers, who went out from us, but were never a part of us, that teach what is known as one point Calvinism, that Jesus only died for the elect. Therefore, they preach a different gospel, which is NO gospel at ALL. They change the meaning of being reconciled by God at the cross into something that a person has to do in order to be reconciled to God. So with these false prophets and false teachers sent by Satan, they teach that God didn’t really forgive everyone at the cross, until a person faiths it. And how would a person be sure that they faithed forgiveness enough? After all, we are told in scripture that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness by God. So did he forgive your sins at the cross or not based on partial forgiveness by God? So how would a person know if God elected them or not? You wouldn’t is the point. And so these one point Calvinists (also called reformed teaching) cannot say that Jesus forgave the sins of the whole world, even though scripture clearly teaches that. So they have the lie of commission and the lie of omission. One lie says God didn’t forgive everyone, and the other lie is not telling everyone their sins have been (past tense) forgiven at the cross. And make no mistake about it, there are many many today that spread Satan’s lie as it pertains to forgiveness. Because that is the very heart of the gospel. If Satan can make a person think their sins may or may not be forgiven at the cross, then Satan has got them twisted around his finger, already believing the lie of ongoing forgiveness by God. And thus there is no resting in God and His finished work on the cross. Satan keeps nailing Jesus back to the cross for more forgiveness.
The bottom line is, who are you going to believe, God or the teaching of demons?
2 Corinthians 5:11-21
11 Therefore, since we know what it means to fear the Lord, we try to persuade men. What we are is clear to God, and I hope it is clear to your conscience as well. 12 We are not commending ourselves to you again. Instead, we are giving you an occasion to be proud of us, so that you can answer those who take pride in appearances rather than in the heart.
13 If we are out of our mind, it is for God; if we are of sound mind, it is for you. 14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that One died for ALL, therefore all died. 15 And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died for them and was raised again.
16 So from now on we regard no one according to the flesh. Although we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.a The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!
18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s trespasses (sins) against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
20 Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.
Matthew 7:15-22
Jesus said, “Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, by their fruit you will recognize them.
Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’
Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’”
…..
And a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher, having done what, will I inherit eternal life?”
And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good, except God alone.
~ “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:12
~ Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; the one believing in Me, even if he should die, he will live. And everyone living and believing in Me shall never die, to the age. Do you believe this?” John 11:25,26

Pray to God:
Do you really want to know the WHOLE Truth of what is going on today?
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7
Lord Jesus, teach me the truth of the world today and give me the wisdom to know the truth and identify the lies of the devil. Thank you God.”
~ “We live in a very strange world. We have taken a look at the truth of the Word of God and said we don’t need the Word of God to determine truth. We’ll determine it on our own. I think many times, folks and I hate to hammer this, but I’m going to tell you something If you cannot, by faith, finalize the cross, don’t tell me you are finalizing the resurrected life. Please don’t tell me that, that’s nonsense. You’re just playing church. I know because I played church. If you cannot believe Jesus when He said, It is finished. You can’t believe him when he says, I came to live in you. Don’t tell me you do. When Christ, Jesus cried out from the cross, It is finished. He cried out, paid in what? Part or paid in full? Paid in full. And we have lived in denial of that in the Christian world, and we have concentrated on getting keeping your sins forgiven by going to the priests, or keeping your sins forgiven by going direct, and God is up in heaven saying, When are you people going to get it that it is finished? If the Bible tells us that God was in Christ, reconciling the whole world unto Himself, not counting their sins against him that is either true or that is false, and if it is true, we need to start resting and walking by faith in that truth. Instead of continually asking God to do what he’s already done, what is wrong with thanking God for what He has done? That’s truth. Instead of asking God to do, what if he did, he’d have to hang on a cross and die again to do, because without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness. Oh God, please forgive me. And say, Where’s your sacrifice?” ~ Bob George

Welcome to Classic Christianity Radio with Bob George as we enter into Easter season, we are reminded how much we are loved and accepted by God. Jesus willingly died on the cross so that we could have complete forgiveness for our sins. So many people say that they were saved because their sins were forgiven, but that is only half of the gospel. Man is not merely saved by the death of Christ, but by the life of Christ. Romans 5:30 says that, For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his son, how much more having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life? Jesus came to give us life. He came to this earth to identify with us in our death, so that we could identify with him in his resurrection, join Bob George as he teaches us about the true meaning of the resurrection. Jesus Christ gave His life for us so that he could give his life to us so that he could live his life through us.
Bob George 0:27
In the Bible, you’re either in the fellowship saved or out of the fellowship, lost. There’s no bouncing in and out. There isn’t any place in the Bible, it says that when you sin, God turns his back. Or everything that has ever happened to you that is wrong is because you have unconfessed sin in your life. It’s okay to have sin, just not unconfessed. Folks, we made a religion out of this. We made a tradition out of this. And folks, it’s not easy to go up against tradition, but I want to tell you something. If God reveals truth to you, you better be willing to go up against tradition and anything else you need to go up against, unless you want to be a hypocrite. I teach what I teach because I believe this with all of my heart, and the reason I believe it is because of the totality of the teaching of the Word of God. There is not one place in the Bible that tells a believer that confess his sins for forgiveness in the New Covenant, even First John one nine. We use a verse as a hobby horse. We use, call it the Christian bar of soap. And in so doing, using one verse of scripture because there isn’t any other, there’s James that says, confess your sins, one to another, that’s what we ought to be doing. And outside of that, you’re going to have to depend on First John one nine, use that one verse to negate the totality of forgiveness that was given to you by Jesus. Grace had no condition, Bob, I’m not going to consult with you. I’m just going to take away your sins from the eyes of God, and there’s only going to be one sin attributable to man, and that’s the rejection of my Son that I sent to this earth to do this for you. Why did I do it for you? Because I love you. I love you so much. I’m willing to come and die for you. Any of you willing to do that for most people? I don’t think so. I came to die for you so that raised from the dead I can come and live in you. I want you to come to me for your life. I want you to enter into what’s called in the Bible a Sabbath rest. What is the Sabbath rest? Resting from your works, just as he did from his. What do you mean resting? I mean resting in the fact that I am a forgiven person. Are you? Are you? Are you? Are you resting in the fact that I am a forgiven person? People say, Well, what about suicide? If you’re asking that question, you’re not resting. If you’re asking those kind of questions, you haven’t come to rest yet. You’re still thinking, There’s got to be a condition, there’s got to be something that I have to do. How many sins did Jesus die for when he died at the cross? I mean, the most vile things that people have ever done? Yeah. Folks, do we ever get into our minds what Jesus had to go through at that cross, when He sweat, as it were, great drops of blood, it wasn’t because he was going to have to come and be crucified. It’s because he had to come and to take upon himself the sins of the whole world, every sloppy, dirty, rotten thought that you and I have ever had, had to be placed upon Jesus at that cross, and that’s what caused him to sweat great drops of blood. Any of you feel that you could get into heaven in your own merits? And why do we act like it? Why do we act like it? I’m not as bad as him. I’m not as bad as her. I only do these sins. He does some other ones. She does some other ones.
You know, guys. What makes God sick of his stomach is self righteousness. Two kinds of righteousness in the world, God’s and yours and yours, makes him sick. He is not interested at all in how righteous you think you are. He’s only interested in your resting in the righteousness that has been imputed to you by Christ, Jesus. So that’s the gospel, guys. This is the gospel that went first to the HEBREW and then to the Gentile. And this is that. These are the things that were argued over. To the HEBREW, It says, We pursued righteousness. And it says, but you didn’t get it. The Gentile didn’t pursue it, and the Bible says they did get it. And the question is asked on there, are you telling me that we the HEBREWS, who. pursued righteousness did not achieve it, and the Gentiles who did not pursue it did. He said, Yep, you got it. Well, why? Doesn’t seem right. It seems like if I’m trying hard to get righteous, that God ought honor that, especially over these Gentile slobs that aren’t pursuing it. Doesn’t that make sense? They’re not pursuing it, and we are. And here you got a congregation like that, Gentiles and HEBREWS, and the HEBREWS saying, look, we’ve pursued this righteous the Gentiles said, Well, we didn’t pursue it, but we got it. He said, No, you couldn’t have it. You’ve never pursued it. But the Bible says, Well, why is that so? And it says, Because you pursued your righteousness, not by faith, but by works. You tried to work your way. You thought there was something you could do. You thought someplace down the line that you were in this equation of salvation.
And, folks, I got news for you there. You’re not in the equation. We have people that put baptism in the equation. You got to be baptized to be saved. People put tongues in the equation. You got to speak in tongues to be saved. People believe that. The evidence of being saved is a babel. You got to go to church to be saved. We have come up with every Tom Dick and Harry thing that you can imagine to put into this equation. And God says, the minute you put something else besides me into the equation, you’ve taken me out of the equation. Folks, it is all Him. It is none of me.
So he’s saying here that He predestined in Him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins in accordance with the riches of his grace that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. This is God’s wisdom. God’s wisdom is what looked down on us and said, there is no hope for Bud. He’s a goner. A Garner, a Garner. Goner, it, and not only him, but all the rest of us. And yet I love him, and because I love him, I’ve given him in the past law, and said, Here’s my law. Obey it, and if you obey it, you go to heaven. Couldn’t obey it, not only him. Nobody else could either. I’ve gone for 1000s of years giving Bud and people just like him a chance. Can’t do it, failed every step of the way. But I love him, but I love him, and because I love him, I’m going to develop a plan whereby he’s out of the equation, because the minute I put him in the equation, he’s going to screw it up. And I love him, and I want him saved, so I’m going to take him out of the equation, and I’m going to say to him, Bud, the only thing that I’m asking of you is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, And you’ll be saved, period. Bud’s heart’s looking for truth. Not everybody’s heart is looking for truth. People looking for tradition. People don’t like truth. That’s why you that’s why you reject it. Bud is looking for truth. So when he heard truth, what’d he do? Responded to it. And what happened? Born Again, the wisdom of God was accomplished. My wisdom is I love you, and I’m going to do something for you that you can’t do for yourself. And all I’m going to ask of you is to accept it and believe it the wisdom of God. Why? Because there was no other way to save anybody. And Man has come in, as we usually do, and screw up everything God said and did and put ourselves into the equation.
So it says that with all wisdom and understanding and he has made known to us this mystery. Now there’s a mystery that was held in the heart of God to only be revealed in God’s timing. This mystery was that to the Gentiles, that they too would come to Christ the same way the HEBREW did, and that Christ in their hearts is their only hope of glory. That’s a mystery. Now, it says, And he has made known to us. Now it’s time for him to reveal this mystery, this mystery of his will according to His good pleasure, not ours, his which He purposed in Christ to be put into effect when the times have reached their fulfillment. Here’s part of the mystery, to bring all things in heaven and earth together under one head, that is Christ, to bring everything on this earth under one headship. And that’s Christ, Jesus. In Him, we were also now, who is the also, the Gentiles. He’s speaking to the HEBREWS. He’s speaking to the Gentiles. He just spoke to the HEBREWS. This is what God did for you, but we, also the Gentiles, were also chosen. Having been predestined, you were also predestined. Does that mean predestined? And I chose you, Thomas, but I didn’t choose your wife? No, the Gentile world, just like he went to the HEBREW world. But did all HEBREWS respond? People say the unresistable will of God, nonsense. You can resist the will of God. The whole Old Testament is man resisting the will of God. Don’t tell me. It was God’s will for his Son to have to hang on a cross and die for the sins of the world. He would have preferred that not to have taken place, but he had to, if he was going to save people. Irresistible Grace, nonsense. That’s why you got the soils. Some soils are going to receive, some are going to reject.

Jesus said that He came that we might have life and have it abundantly. John, 10:10, yet the average professional Christian often says that there is nothing abundant about my life. Bob George 14:19
So he says that this was put into effect to bring all things in heaven and earth together on one head, that is Christ, in Him, we were also the Gentiles chosen. HEBREWS were chosen. Gentiles were chosen again. Guys, an unthinkable thought to the HEBREW world, because we’re the ones who have the law, we’re the ones who have the prophets, we’re the ones who have all of God’s blessing. They had nothing, and you’re telling me that they’re on the same par as us, who are God’s chosen people today. Anybody who’s in Christ, not. Anybody who’s a HEBREW or anybody who’s a Gentile, but anyone who’s in Christ is a chosen person of God. In Him, we were also chosen, having been predestined. This is the Gentiles according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, in order that we who were the first to hope in Christ. Who’s that? Who’s the first to hope? Okay, the rest of you asleep? Who was the first to hope in Christ? The HEBREW. Who did the gospel go to first? The HEBREW, in order that we were the first, the first to hope in Christ might be for the praise of his glory, and you also were included. Who’s the also the Gentiles included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, having believed you are marked in him with a seal that’s both of us, the ham promise Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance, both HEBREW and Gentile, slave and free, until the redemption of those who are God’s possession to the praise of his glory. Is this good news, guys?
For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and your love of the saints, what did Jesus say that the only thing that counts is? Faith expressing itself through what love. You notice that nothing changes for this reason. Since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and your love for the saints, you notice that he didn’t say that for this reason, ever since I’ve heard about your speaking in tongues, and ever since I heard about your baptizing believers, and ever since I heard about your church attendance and about your tithing record, that I have not stopped Giving thanks for you. Folks, true faith in a true Jesus is going to produce the love of Jesus to the people around us. Without question. If you and I are not expressing the love of God to people, it’s because we’re not abiding in Him. No, no, no other excuse. It’s just we’re not abiding in Him. When we’re being critical of each other, are we abiding in Christ, when you’re chastising each other, are we abiding in Christ? When we’re telling God’s truth to someone are we abiding in Christ? Then you see, guys, this thing of faith expressing itself through love. All has to do that. The evidence of it is all in. How do we treat what? One another. Some of our attitudes toward people is pits. Have you ever noticed that not about me, but about you? And we have to come to grips with that. That’s not easy to do, because we’re Christians. We’re children of God, we’re people who have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. We’re people who walk as a new creature, not as an old creature with you, without Jesus living in you, but as a new creature. And I know that I shouldn’t be thinking that way, and I shouldn’t be expressing myself that way to other people, but I do it, and I don’t like that, so it’s easy for me to say, well, I’m going to try to improve my temper. No, you better start learning to abide in Jesus. Know when it says, Walk in the Spirit, what does that mean? It means to walk with a trust in Jesus. And when I’m trusting Him who lives in me to teach my mind, control my emotions and direct my will, then I’m walking in the Spirit. When I’m walking in the flesh is when I’m thinking with my own thoughts. I don’t care what this Bible says. I got common sense. You’re walking in the flesh. People want to complicate flesh and spirit, not complicated. What does it mean to walk in the flesh the opposite of walking in the Spirit? I’m not walking in accordance with the will of God, with the Word of God, I’m walking in accordance with my own understanding. Doesn’t the Bible say, Don’t lean on your own understanding, but in all things, acknowledge Him and He will do what? Direct our paths.
So again, when we see what God is looking for, and we see what, evidently, was able to be seen. I mean, I don’t think Paul could have said, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and your love for the saints, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. Somebody was doing this. How much of it do we see in our own lives somebody was doing it? Maybe it was way back then. But guys, what I want to ask you, do you think it’s possible to do if it wasn’t possible, somebody couldn’t have done it? But guys, it is not possible when we want to hang on to our self reliance. Many times, our dependency has been placed so strong on the church that I don’t have any dependency left for Him. Let the church tell me what to do. Guys, we realize, realize something? Do you realize that if you trusted Jesus to guide your own life, and you were trusting Jesus to guide your life, I wouldn’t need to be telling you what to do, and neither would your wife? Do you know, we get in the way of God with our trying to tell people constantly what to do? What about letting God tell them what to do? Well, I can’t trust him. That’s what you’re saying. I can’t trust him to guide him. I got to guide him.
You ever ride in a car with your wife? And every time a little turn goes just scares you to death, I get on Amy. Quit doing that. What does she say? She’s she’s arguing with me back there. I seriously, we need to think and artists think things through. If I am telling my wife and my children now that up until the time they grow up, until a child gets to the point where he’s walking with the Lord, shouldn’t we pull away from continually telling them what to do? Do you ever stop to think about that, that if there’s an if, if my child is walking with the Lord, I know that they know the Lord and they’re walking with the Lord, wouldn’t it be best for me now to just let them learn how to walk with the Lord instead of me telling them every step of the way to go? But see, we can’t fix things that way, and we want to be fixers. Maybe that’s why God said to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business. Maybe he meant that for that reason. Let God be God in people’s lives. Make sense?
Well, guys, we’ll be talking more about this predestination as we go along, but I hope you’ve gotten a clue of what we’re dealing here with. Predestination, election, adoption had nothing to do with what is taught in Reformed theology. Reformed theology teaches that God chose who he was going to save and who he wasn’t going to save. Again. Where did that come from? It came from an understanding on their part, that you’re saved by getting your sins forgiven, and if you’re saved by getting your sins forgiven, and God was in Christ, reconciling the whole world unto Himself, not counting your sins against them. You don’t have to be a mental genius to figure out that would be universal salvation, because that’s true. Do we not pound, in many cases, the Bible right down through the top of the pulpit, Jesus died for all our sins past, present and future. Is that right? Do we believe that? No. Not and teach, come forward and get your sins forgiven for salvation. You don’t believe that, because if that’s true, that God died for all of our sins past, present and future, and you’re saved by getting your sins forgiven. What do you need to come forward for? You already saved? That’s universal salvation. Well, they figured that can’t be, that can’t be universal salvation. And so we got to spin the world, spin the word world. So he didn’t mean the world. It means the elect. So God so loved the elect. What’s their problem? Believing that you’re saved again, your sins forgiven. If you understand what the passage says that while we were yet enemies. We were reconciled to God through the death of his Son. That’s the cross. How much more shall we be saved by His life, you don’t need to spin, you don’t need to spin universal forgiveness. We have universal forgiveness. God forgave the sins of the whole world and reduced everyone down to one level. That’s why he took the law away. You use the law, you’re going to have a you’re going to have standards there for the saved, not for the lost. The law is still in effect for the lost. So he says to them that I neutralized the whole world, and I took the sins away of the whole world, but there’s one sin that I could not take away. That’s the sin of the rejection of Jesus, and that’s why Jesus said the world’s sin singular is unbelief in me. Now if the people would understood that there would never been a need for spinning salvation and the world. So where did you go off? Your premise was off, and when your premise is off, your findings go off. And so, guys, the reason we’re camping on this is because of the fact that you’re going to be confronted, and maybe some of you already have with this theology, and you need to know how to counteract that. And so we’re going to try to study it until you know, because, believe me, sooner or later, you’re going to hear on radio or television or in the pulpit the teaching that God just chose who he was going to save, and that is just plain not true. God chose that the HEBREW people would have access to the gospel as well as the Gentiles, and that out of those two, I’m going to build one new man, that was the mystery the mysterian, and that one new man is going to be called the ecclesia, children of God.
