Classic Christianity – Faithfulness – Part 2 – 5-13-26

~ When a person is in Christ Jesus, they are Always in Fellowship with God. You’re either in the fellowship saved, or out of the fellowship lost. Yet there is teaching today that unless you ask for forgiveness for each and every sin, that somehow you are out of fellowship with God until you do. How much sense does that even make, that you are to bring to mind your sins, when Jesus said it is finished, and Scriptures teach that God remembers your sins no more? It’s very strange that people go to the doctrine’s of demons, and listen to Man that teaches this ongoing forgivness lie, when the Scriptures are so clear that Jesus took away all your sins at the cross and is no longer counting them against anyone today. Think about it folks, your sins were all future when Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the whole world, backwards to Adam and forward for all, for all eternity. Yet we give lip service to the actual words of God, and flock to the teaching of Man instead of placing our faith in the Faithful One of God, to have done what He said was completed at the cross. We call God a liar by our very actions.

Faith is responding properly to Truth. It’s using our mind’s to apply logic to the equation. If Jesus forgave you at the cross, then the therefore means we are to thank Him for His forgiveness and His faithfulness to have done it at the cross. Asking for forgiveness is in direct opposition to God and His Truth. And without faith it is impossible to please God. A person doing this over and over again is calling God a liar, and by their actions of showing they don’t really believe God did what He did at the cross. In this case, a person believes they need more forgiveness from God when they blow it, which is a lie taught by Man and demons.

It’s time to live by Faith. Stop this obsession of confession for forgiveness, because it is Not biblical under the New Covenant that we live in today.

And a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher, having done what, will I inherit eternal life?”
And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good, except God alone. Luke 18:18,19

Jesus is God in flesh: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1

Pray to God:

Do you really want to know the WHOLE Truth of what is going on today?

Lord Jesus, teach me the truth of the world today and give me the wisdom to know the truth and identify the lies of the devil. Thank you God.”

~ “You know, what’s a little bit of legalism. Now, you guys know what legalism is, don’t you? You know what it is. A speck of the law will spoil the whole thing. We’re told that. And so how easy would it be to compromise on a few specks? You can get more people that way. We’d be on probably 50 more radio stations if we just quit teaching that tithing is not in the new covenant. I mean, how easy would that be to do? Come on, Bob, just get a little tithing going to hurt you. In fact, it might build your body. It might make this place richer. Why don’t you just do it? Do you think that those things haven’t entered into my mind? Satan is sure to enter that in your mind. But I tell you guys, if you’re going to remain faithful to the message you cannot do it. It isn’t the case that you won’t do it. It’s the faith you can’t do it. You don’t have it in you. We’ve made a big issue and a lot of enemies over teaching that first John one nine is not to a believer. How easy would it be to just go back to teaching the old spiritual breathing concept? I mean, just one little concept out of the whole gamut of truth. So what’s it going to hurt? What’s it going to hurt? I did it for a lot of years. Our family did for a lot of years. We spiritually breathed until we became spiritually panting and spiritually hyperventilating. In other words, the spiritual breathing concept was keep short accounts with God, and every time you sin, you got to exhale, confess your sin to God and get your sin forgiven, and then inhale, appropriate the power of the Holy Spirit. So spiritual breathing sounded good, sounding nice concept, but it’s not true. And there is no such thing in the Bible as bouncing in and out of fellowship. And yet, are we taught that if you sin you’re out of fellowship? How many have been taught? How many have been taught if you sin, you’re out of fellowship? Now come on. How many of you have been taught that if there’s no hands up, you haven’t been taught anything? Because that is what everyone teaches. You’re out of fellowship. You’re not now, if you’re a part of people who think you can lose your salvation, a lot of denominations that think you can lose your salvation. Why then, if you sin, you could lose your salvation, but then the ones who say no, you can’t lose your salvation, then when you sin, you’re just out of fellowship. But you got to be something if you sin. Be easy, easy to just go ahead and follow that along.” ~ Bob George

Bob George 0:29
Now he’s saying here that only in your hometown, in other words, where people know you and among your relatives many times, and even in your own home, A prophet is without honor. In other words, they’re not recognized as who God made them into. They you’re looked at as your dad or your mom or your brother or whoever it might be. But you don’t realize that if a person has been called to be a prophet, or in the scripture where he said he gave some to be an evangelist, a pastor, teacher, those kind of assignments were, those were men who were gifts to the body of Christ, pastor, teachers, evangelists, Prophet. They were gifts to the church. They were gifts to the body of Christ. Now, the people that know you don’t look at that is maybe you’re a gift to the body of Christ by God. That God called you aside to be a gift to the body of Christ. Your family doesn’t recognize you necessarily as that, and the people who know you don’t necessarily recognize you as that. They recognize. You as being a carpenter or just being somebody else. But folks, the truth is that if God has sent somebody and given them the gift of being a pastor, teacher, being them being a gift of an evangelist, such as a _____ _______, a prophet, evangelist, a pastor, teacher, then those are gifts to the body of Christ, and again, many times recognized as such by people except the ones who are the closest to you, and they have difficulty recognizing that, because it to them, it’s just mom or dad or brother, whoever it might be. And so I think what, what Jesus was saying here is very true.

He also said he was he was amazed at their lack of faith. Well, what do you mean their lack of faith? Well, the lack of faith in the fact that God can do things that mom and dad can’t and and so again, we have to realize, and I think people close to you have to recognize the fact that if indeed, even to this day, that someone has been sent to do something by God, then you acknowledge that, and you thank God for it. It’s not to build the man, but to recognize that the man has been given a special amount, possibly, of wisdom to communicate the truth of the Word of God, the ability to communicate the gospel so the people will come to Christ and to have faith, to recognize the truth of that even though they may be your brother or your sister or whoever it might be, but to recognize those truths.

When you look at the word faith, you also have to look at the word faithful. We sang the song about the faithfulness of God. We have the great tune. Great is high faithfulness, O godly father, and we know that God is faithful to us. The issue is, how faithful are we? I think sometimes guys that the word faithful and the ability to be faithful is a lost thing in many people’s lives today, it’s just kind of get what you can do unto others before they do unto you. And that’s the golden rule. It’s to be faithful to one another. To be faithful to your family. Your family is one of the first places where faithfulness, I think, has to come in. Your family should be a place that if anything ever goes wrong, they’re there. Faithfulness means you can count on me. You can count on me. I’ll always be there for you. And that is basically the case of a family, isn’t it? You can fall on your face. I’ll be there for you. You can get divorced. I’ll be there for you. Your family is always there and faithful to the children, and the children should have the same faithfulness to them, to their parents. It is something that is many times a lost art. It’s a lost credibility that we have, but it is absolutely something that we need to think through. How faithful are we? Faithful to our family, faithful to our church, faithful to where we gather to study the Word of God. Are we faithful to one another? Do we serve one another in love? Do you know why the _______ people are so successful? You know why they serve one another? You know how they do that? They buy from one another. They sell to one another. Now they may sound like they’re killing each other before that gets done, but it’s faithful. We are faithful to our own people. We are faithful to the people who are our own. And that’s why they have grown through this world. That’s why they have become successful financially is because they feed on one another. Do we have that kind of faithfulness? We are a body here. Are we faithful to this body? In other words, do we try to look around to say, I got a plumbing problem? Do we have a plumber? If there is use him. Do I have a real estate agent? If you got one, use them. That’s how we support each other. That’s how we build one another in the faith. That’s how we build this body. If a member in your own family was a plumber, would you go to somebody else? Would you not unless he is a lousy plumber. Now, if I was a plumber, I could understand if you went to somebody else. But again, that’s what faithfulness is. I’m faithful to these people that God has called to be together, to be those are decision making processes. What does. Faithfulness do, faithfulness to this body, faithfulness to your family, faithfulness to one another.

And so when the Lord at the end of time is going to make words to us in Matthew 25:21 well done, good and faithful servant. You were good and you were faithful. The fruit of the Spirit love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness. It’s one of the things that comes from the fruit of the spirit of being faithful to one another. Do you understand what I’m saying? Guys? In other words, there should be an idea of sticking together. We’re there for you. I can’t be there for someone down at First Baptist, I don’t know them, or somebody over here, or somebody doesn’t know the Lord from a spook. I can’t I don’t know that, but we do know that we as a group. Here is a group. You’re not forced to be a group. No one hold your hand to the fire to be a group you’ve chosen to be a part of this body. So if you’re here and you’ve chosen to be a part of it, let’s be faithful to one another, and let’s help each other to grow. And let’s let this body grow financially in every other way, as a result of our faithfulness to one another. If every person in this room decided to do that, you’d be amazed what would take place in the body. And so faithfulness is a great attribute in regard to the Christian faith.

In the fourth chapter of First Corinthians, Paul makes this statement, Men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God. Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful if God has given me Bob Christopher, Richard, the people, Bud the people and his people called People to People, if they’ve given us a message, then he said that we must prove to be faithful to that message. And folks, I want to say this that we have tried to remain faithful to the message. We have not tried to add to the message. We have not tried to subtract from the message. And we have been criticized in many instances by outside the body, for being as dogmatic as we are in regard to what truth is. You see, we’ve come down to the point where just a little bit of leaven won’t hurt anybody. The Bible says a little bit of leaven will spoil the whole loaf. And we say, Ah, it doesn’t hurt. A little bit. What’s a little legalism going to do?

You know, what’s a little bit of legalism. But you got to be something if you sin. Be easy, easy to just go ahead and follow that along.

I told you in the church that I was in before the pastor called me in marvelous man of God said, Bob, if I were you, I’d quit teaching that. I would just not teach anything, because that’s what he’s been doing for 20 years, just don’t teach it. What you’re teaching is 100% correct. That passage is not a believer’s passage. It’s a lost person’s passage, great salvation passage, that the Church of Jesus Christ is pulled over into Christians like it’s talking to Christians. But it’s not true. What you’re teaching 100% true. But I started teaching a long time ago that that wasn’t true and almost got ran out of the convention. So what my advice to you is, because you’ve got so many other good things to teach, is just lay off of that and just ignore it. And my comment to him was, sir, I appreciate that, but I can’t do it. I said, you’re in the pulpit and I’m in a pew, and that that is absolutely paralyzing Christians from understanding the finality of the cross and to be able to be faithful to what God said that it is finished. See, that’s a part of faithfulness.

Bob George 14:13
Are you faithful to what God said is true? Are you teaching what he said, is true faithfully? And so I can’t do it. And his comment was, Well, Bob, God bless you. You’re going to run into a lot of problems. And he was right, but there hadn’t been a problem we’ve run into. It’s not worth it. Why? Because that’s truth, and I know it’s truth, and it’s provable in the Bible, that is truth. And so we’ve tried to remain faithful to that.

Men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God. Now it’s required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. Paul says, I care very little if I’m judged by you or by any human court, indeed, I don’t even judge myself. Why would he say that? Well, people criticizing you, and you’re always going to find Monday morning quarterbacks, aren’t you, you can always find people who will say you could have said that better, as if we didn’t know that. I had a guy that was on this tour that was telling me that sometimes I was a little harsh on people, as if I didn’t know that. And I said to him, You go try being on the air for 20 years and see if you can say that I’ve got a perfect record of saying everything just perfectly for 20 years. We’re human beings. Some day I have a good day, some day I got a bad day. Some day I’m probably on the radio in the flesh, and some days I’m in the Spirit. I hope that there’s more Spirit than flesh, but I’m not sure I have engaged it. I’m not going to. But the issue is whether it’s harsh or whether it isn’t, it’s truth, and we have been faithful. I believe in trying to present the truth. So I carry very little. If I’m judged by you or any human court, I don’t even judge myself. My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It’s the Lord who judges me. He’s the one who ultimately is going to judge all of us. Therefore, judge nothing before the appointed time. Wait till the Lord comes. How often my friends are we judging one another? How often are we judging situations? How often are we judging what people are doing and what they’re not doing? How often do we do that? And he says, Don’t do it. That’s the Lord’s job.

He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and expose the motives of man’s hearts. You see, guys, the motives of our heart is what God is looking at. Is, why are we doing what we’re doing? Could a man be preaching to bring accolades to himself? Could a man that’s his motivation is to man I like the strokes. Could a man be in the ministry because he can’t succeed anyplace else? Could a man go and study in a seminary and study very little the Bible and but he knows how to do all the sacraments and all that stuff and not know the Lord from an apple tree? 1000s of them. Now, God’s going to expose all that one of these days, but we can’t. That’s not us. That’s not for us to judge. At that time, he’ll receive His praise from God. Now, brothers, I’ve applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn us from us. The meaning of the saying, Do not go what? Is beyond. Do not go beyond what is written, guys, how do you not go beyond what is written, by not going beyond what is written. Do you follow in your own heart what is written? Or do you follow the teachings of Mary Baker Eddy? Or do you follow the teachings of the Mormons, who have a totally different Jesus, but are trying desperately to get the Christian world to accept them when they believed that God was a man who became good enough to be God. And if you are a man, and you are good enough, and you give enough money and you try hard enough, you too, can become God. Is that your God? Is that the God of that you worship? Seems to me that it says in the scripture that God didn’t have a beginning or an end. They teach he was a man who became God, and then teach that as man became, you also can become but nice people. We were talking about that the other day with their kids, nice appearing people, some of them, not all, but some nice appearing people, but dead people, and are hanging on to a doctrine that is called the doctrine of the anti-christ. You want to follow that? Why did they do that? Because they added, they did what he said. Do not go beyond what is written. You follow what some man or woman has written and follow that book, The Mormon book, The Jehovah’s Witness book, Seventh Day Adventist book, those are all followers of those people’s teaching. Many more. I’m just listing those.

That’s why Paul earlier had said this stress. I follow Paul. I follow Apollos. I follow Peter. He said, Who are we? Who are we? He said, Who’s Paul? We’re only servants through whom you came to believe as the Lord assigned each his task. I planted seed. Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything but only God who makes things grow, the man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. For we are God’s fellow workers, and you are God’s field and God’s building, and that’s what he is saying to us, is quit following men. We have denominations named after men, Lutheran Calvin and what are you doing? You may as well have Apollos and Paul. Do you want to say that what you believe is because of what Bob believes? What do you believe? I don’t know. I’m a Presbyterian. What did Calvin believe? Oh, that’s what I believe. Isn’t that dumb to think of? I mean, just to think that that is really dumb. Well, I’m a Lutheran. What did Luther believe? I don’t know. We’ll find out what he believes. I’ll know what I’m believe. Now, folks, we have in our hands the Word of God, don’t we? And we have in our hearts the Spirit of God, and the Spirit of God has promised to reveal the meaning of the word of God to us, if we will yield to him, and that’s what he’s saying here. Do not go beyond what is written. Listen what he says. Then you’ll not take pride in one man over against another. Well, I believe Luther, well, oh, I’m a Calvinist. Oh, I’m this. I’m a Presbyterian, I’m a Baptist, all of these kind of things. I’m a Nazarene, I’m all of these things. So what I have to answer? So what? Do not take pride in one man over against another, for who makes you different from anyone else. What do you have that you did not receive? In other words, what do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not? I’ve said before, if Calvin or Luther or me or anyone else had anything worthwhile saying. We got it from the scripture, and we probably got it from Paul’s writing. So why not call ourselves Paulinus? And if we did, he’d say, What are you doing that for? We’re just men. You got Peter when Cornelius, when he went into the house of Cornelius, and led him to Christ, the first Gentile convert. He knelt down to his feet. Peter said, get up. We’re just men, but today, supposedly in apostolic cessation, he’s the first pope. Now, we got the last one. Do they’re kiss rings, kiss feet, wear robes. Where is all that stuff coming from? It’s adding to what is written. Do you see that in the Scripture? I mean, seriously, guys, do you ever see this in the Scripture? Not a bit. So what are you doing? We’re adding to what the Bible said. Don’t add to it. Don’t go beyond what is written.

And so we have a commission from God to remain faithful to what’s in this book, not to remain faithful to tradition, not to remain faithful to what someone wrote and down and said. This is what you are to believe if you are going to belong to our little club, if you’re going to belong to our little club, our little denomination, this is what you believe, and not in the Bible. It’s in my book. If you’re going to be coming to this place, you’re all going to have to read Classic Christianity and believe what’s there. Otherwise you ain’t welcome. And I’d say you have just committed intellectual suicide. If there was anything good in classic Christianity, it came out of this book, and you can go into the book and read what was in Classic Christianity. If you’re going to be a Mormon, you’re going to have to believe in the Book of Mormon. That doesn’t make any difference how he got the book, because he got it in a strange way. He got it by looking through binoculars at some Egyptian hieroglyphics that no one had ever seen before since and then interpreted those Egyptian hieroglyphics into English, but it was King James English, and those Egyptian hieroglyphics were probably 1000 years older than King James. How he did that? I don’t know, but people are deceived enough to believe that. How could you do that?

And then, you know, we know of some people that have now been named apostles. Well, how could you be an apostle, when in order to be an apostle, you had to be with Jesus at witnessing his baptism, His death, burial and resurrection. In order for this book to be the canon, you had to be an apostle. How did you be a 2000 year old apostle? There aren’t any apostles. There are some epistles, but not apostles. How no word are you going to do that? Well, it’s, it’s because of adding to the scriptures, going beyond what is written, coming up with your own thing. The Da Vinci Code has exposed thing called Gnosticism. We’ve been talking about Gnosticism for years as it relates to First John one nine and the whole book of First John, it’s now coming out, Gnostic writings. People were followed, Gnostic writings. Yes, what were they doing, adding to the Scripture, going beyond scripture. And so there’s a lot of things guys out there in this world today, and there’s more and more of them that are out there for the purpose of deception of the believers and guys, the only way that you and I are going to be kept free from deception, because if we do not know not only what this is, but also have some information on what these other things say, because a lot of people don’t know what they say. And so if you don’t know what they say, Well, we all probably just believe in the same God. You know? Well, is Allah the same God that you worship? I don’t think so. And yet, people say, Oh, we all have the same God. No, we don’t. No, we don’t. No, the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob is the one true God. And what did that God do? He came to this earth in a person of Christ, Jesus, and revealed to us the truth of the Word of God. So we don’t have the same God.

And so if we’re going to remain faithful to what we know to be true, then we cannot be compromisers, and you also cannot be a peacemaker. Because I want to tell you something, guys, there isn’t going to be any peace in Israel or in this country or in your family until the Prince of Peace comes back. That’s when there’ll be peace in Israel. That’s when there’ll be peace in the world. Is when the Prince of Peace comes to be real in your own heart. You cannot be a compromiser. People don’t like you if you don’t compromise. But Paul says, in essence, this is kind of a George interpretation. I don’t give a flip whether you like me or not. Care very little if I’m judged by you or any other human court, but I’m not going to compromise truth. So guys, put it into your heart that if God has said something, he means that’s truth. And if God has said something, be faithful to it. Be faithful to your family. Be faithful to your body of Christ here, be faithful to your Lord. Great is our faithfulness. And Jesus says, I love you because of your faithfulness.
