Classic Christianity – The Sower & The Seed – Part 3 – 10-07-26
~ For the gospel reveals the righteousness of God that comes by faith from start to finish, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” ~ Romans 1:17
Living by Faith in the One Who Lives in Me: How the Indwelling Spirit Directs Your Paths
In corporate religion, believers are routinely conditioned to look outward for spiritual direction. They are taught to rely on external performance loops, human credentialing, and pulpit gatekeepers to tell them what to believe, how to act, and where to go.
This completely ignores the radical, internal reality of the New Covenant!
True Christian life is not an external imitation of a distant historical figure. It is an active, moment-by-moment walk of living by Faith in the One who actually lives inside you!
1. The Great Internal Shift: “Christ Liveth in Me”
Apostle Paul defines the true mechanics of spiritual life in Galatians 2:20:
📖 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.”
At the cross of Calvary where the debt was cleared, your old Adamic identity—the unsealed, open receiver—was legally crucified and put to death. The microsecond you exercised voluntary Faith, entering into Socratic agreement (homologeo) with the Judge that Jesus finished it all, a radical Divine Fusion occurred:
- One Spirit with the Lord: “He that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit” (1 Corinthians 6:17).
- A Brand-New Creation: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
- Living by Faith: As Romans 1:17 declares, “The righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.“
You do not live by your own human willpower or moral striving. You live by resting in the indwelling presence of Jesus Christ, who has made your biological clay vessel His permanent holy sanctuary!
2. The Resident Teacher: Presenting TRUTH Directly to Your Spirit
The Holy Spirit did not move into your vessel to be a passive bystander. He is actively dwelling within you to present TRUTH directly to your spirit, bypassing the cognitive noise and deceptive scripts of satan’s horizontal matrix.
Jesus promised this exact reality in John 16:13:
📖 “Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come.”
Look at how Apostle John reinforces this internal, un-scrambled guidance system in 1 John 2:27:
📖 “But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him.”
Because the Holy Spirit permanently inhabits your vessel under an unbreakable Sovereign Firewall, you possess an internal truth-detector. He continually illuminates the Scriptures, exposes theological lies, and presents divine reality directly to your human spirit!
3. How the Spirit of God Directs Your Daily Paths
When you trust the One living inside you, you no longer have to wander in confusion or fear making wrong decisions. Scripture guarantees that the indwelling Spirit actively directs your daily steps:
- Proverbs 3:5–6: “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.“
- Romans 8:14: “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”
- Psalm 32:8: “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with Mine eye.”
- Isaiah 30:21: “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.”
The Spirit does not drive you with horizontal anxiety, legalistic guilt, or frantic pressure. He leads you with internal clarity, deep spiritual alignment, and sovereign peace. As you acknowledge His presence within you, He orders your steps, opens doors that no man can shut, and closes paths that would lead to entanglement.
4. The Standing Invitation: “Come Now, Let Us Reason Together”
Religious institutions often demand unreasoning compliance, telling you not to ask questions. But TRUTH Himself issues an open, standing invitation to every sealed child of God:
📖 “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD [TRUTH].” — Isaiah 1:18
The indwelling Holy Spirit is constantly saying to your spirit: Come, let us reason together!
- He Grants You His Mind: “For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.“ (1 Corinthians 2:16).
- He Answers Without Finding Fault: “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not [without finding fault]; and it shall be given him.” (James 1:5).
When you bring your questions, decisions, and concerns to the Father, He does not criticize you or bring up your past stumbles. Why? Because every sin-debt was permanently liquidated at the cross of Calvary where the debt was cleared! God holds ABSOLUTELY NOTHING against you.
Step Into Your Sealed Office Today
Stop looking outward to a dying matrix for validation, direction, or truth.
Turn your focus inward to the One who took up permanent residence inside your vessel at the microsecond of faith. Trust Him to direct your paths, guide you into all Truth, and reason with you daily.
You are sealed, you are fused with Christ, and the One living in you is infinitely greater than anything in this world (1 John 4:4)!
“Then I saw a new heaven (οὐρανός / ouranos) and a new earth, for the first heaven (οὐρανός / ouranos) and earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven (οὐρανός / ouranos) from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” — Revelation 21:1–2
—
Pray to God:
Do you really want to know the WHOLE Truth of what is going on today?
Lord Jesus, teach me the truth of the world today and give me the wisdom to know the truth and identify the lies of the devil. Thank you God.”
~ In this program, Bob George teaches from Jesus’ parable of the sower, focusing on how people respond to the message of the gospel. He says God desires people to come to repentance and that the message is made known in different ways, but pride can harden a person’s heart and lead them to dismiss it. George stresses that hearing or receiving the message—even with excitement—is not the same as putting faith in it. He illustrates this with someone accepting keys while not believing they actually belong to a car: in the same way, a person may be attracted to the promise of avoiding hell or may respond enthusiastically for a time, yet lack the trust that would give the message “root.” He describes how trouble, persecution, life’s worries, and the allure of wealth can draw people away, and cautions against allowing miracle claims or religious activity to shift attention from Christ himself. He also explains that wealth is not inherently the problem; the danger is depending on it for security or self-worth instead of finding one’s identity in God. Saving faith involves hearing the gospel, understanding that it applies personally, and trusting in Christ. He uses the image of a jar filled with applesauce to illustrate how a person’s identity is changed by Christ living in them, and argues that denominational labels cannot save anyone. He concludes that Jesus is not merely someone believers need for occasional help: Christ is to be their life, righteousness, wisdom, and source of strength, and true worship is making oneself available for Christ to live through.
“Now here we’re going to be talking about another group, but the one who hears and receives the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word of God and understands it. Now, folks, what was the problem at the beginning, hearing the message and not understanding it, in comparison to someone hearing the message and understanding the message. Now, to the man who hears the word, obviously receives the word, then understands the word, then puts faith in his understanding is the one who is a saved person. If you’re going to come to Christ, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by what? By the word of God. You hear the word of God, you receive the word of God. God gives you an ability to understand the Word of God, and now you put faith in what you understand, and salvation is there.” ~ Bob George

So, is there anybody on earth that God said I just don’t like? I think I’m not going to try to save them. I’m not going to tell them anything. No, He said it. I got something. People come to me sometimes. I like to know God’s will. I’ll tell you God’s will. One way you can know is look in the Scripture where it says it is God’s will, and my keen mind picks up immediately. I’ll bet that’s His will. So we don’t have to wonder about that. It is God’s will that none should perish, and all should come to repentance. So how many people have had the seed sown? All people in one form or another. Now, it’s not for us to determine how God sows the seed. He may sow it through just showing you the magnitude of this earth and to know there’s a God. And then He said, anyone who truly wants to know that God, that is very obvious, there is one. I’ll send them the message of Christ. So we don’t have to say I didn’t get a chance. Oh yes, you did. The thing of it, you looked at God’s universe and ignored it. You were callous to it.
And there were many people that sit down today. Amy and I were talking about an individual that that we both know. That I think his mindset is he got in some kind of trouble not too long ago, and then started talking about God. And I think the mind said, “If God, if you get me out of this jam, I’ll believe you. But if you don’t, to heck with you. Anybody ever done that? Heard about that type of thing? Well, of course it is. Well, let’s say that God did do something for him, and He said, “Now I believe you. How long would that last? Until he got in trouble the next time. And what you’re saying is, God, if you do what I want you to do, I’ll believe in you. But if you don’t, I’m not going to believe in you. So, in other words, the key to your existence is doing what I want you to do. Does that sound a little Egotistical? And so we get right back to what the problem of man is. It’s pride that brings about a calloused heart.
So it says that the parable: anyone who hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. So it’s not that it hasn’t been sown; he’s snatched away. This is the seed sown along the path. Now, the one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. Now, let’s stop here, because many times when you read that, you say, “Oh, well, see, he received it. In fact, received it with joy. Well, I want to ask you a question: Is receiving a message putting faith in the message? No, just said I’ve received it. I’m not going to put a faith in it, but I have received it. So, can you receive something without putting faith in something? Why, absolutely, absolutely. I could give you the set of keys and say, “Here are the keys to a Mercedes out there that I gave you, and you receive the keys, but you don’t believe. Now I know Bob; he sure didn’t give me Mercedes. I receive the keys, but I don’t believe in a million years that there’s a Mercedes out there. And so you take the bus home because you’ve never put faith in what the keys were for. So you can receive a message, but never put faith in it. Now this is exactly what took place here. You have people who receive a message with joy. I’ve seen them 100 times in my 30-some years of being in Christ. I’ve seen it 100 times of people. Man, Praise God, and then after a while, something starts happening. He doesn’t have any root. There’s no root there, and it lasts only a short period of time. In other words, I’m excited, but I haven’t put any faith in this thing. I’m just kind of excited about what I’ve heard.
You know, somebody tell me that I can tell you how to keep from going to hell. That’s pretty exciting. And I can give you a fire insurance policy. All you have to do is come down and experiment Jesus, and you’ll go to heaven. You won’t go to hell. You say I’ll buy that policy. That’s that’s that’s better than I can get in the insurance company. You gonna trust Jesus for anything else? No, no, no. Just just keep from going to hell. Get excited, no root, no faith, just excited about something you’ve received. So it says there’s no root; lasts only a short period of time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away. Now, obviously, back in those day and age, in that day and age that was certainly more applicable than today because too many of us don’t receive a lot of persecution because of the word of God trouble or persecution we get into trouble and persecution because of the word of God but only if we’re actively involved in it. So we can be a Christian and really never experience a whole lot of persecution or trouble from the world because the world doesn know you’re Christian. You’ve never told anybody. You’ve never sat down in a discussion about the Word of God or whatever else it might be. But in those days, when you came to Christ and you really came to Christ, you were normally ostracized from your family, especially if you were HEBREW, there were all kinds of things that happened to you. The baptismal that people went to, where they’d go down to be baptized. Many times, the spies would be there watching to see who was baptized and take their lives. So it was not just like we have it so easy today, but trouble and persecution, whether it’s back then or now, come, and because of his word, he falls away. So that’s another person receives it with joy, but no faith, no root. So it’s just a, it’s just one of those quick fixes.
Folks, you can see people today, and and again, this is the danger. Whether it’s legalism pulling you away from trusting Christ, or the miracle games that are played today, where people go and get all excited, and they see somebody seems to be healed or whatever else it might be, and man, they get excited about that healing. And the pastors will sometimes say, “Oh, praise Jesus, but it’s not Jesus getting any glory. They’re the ones of the glory. Otherwise, you wouldn’t come back to see him all the time. And so, in final analysis, what you’re talking about is I’m the big guy. I got this special anointing from God that flows through me into you, and I just touch people, and just all kinds of things happen, and people get excited over that. So, ooh, ooh, ooh. You go out and get in some kind of trouble on your own. You see how that’s going to sustain you. You get cancer and you’re going to die. You just see how that sustains you. It’s a subtlety to pull you away from the person of Christ onto miracles, what so-called miracles, or anything else that I can get your eyes on, satan does not care what you have your eyes on as long as they are off of Jesus. And so you see a lot of people like this get all excited about something, but there’s no root.
Now, in verse 22, it says, “The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is a man who hears the word, but the worries of his life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful. So here’s another person. He received, but it never took root. The seed was received, but no root ever took place. You’re not talking about saved people. You’re talking about people who got excited, but no root. Received the word, but no root, nothing’s taken place, and the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it out. In other words, there again could be a prosperity gospel, couldn’t it? How many times have we heard in Timothy what Timothy says about people who teach that godliness is a means to financial gain. Timothy says anyone who teaches that godliness is a means to financial gain is a pervert. And yet, how many people today are saying, “Come to Jesus so you can be financially wealthy.” The only people getting wealthy out there, the people teaching it. But you can get into situations like that. You hear the word of God, the deceitfulness of wealth. Well, what is the deceitfulness of wealth? What is the problem with wealth? Yeah, there that is. It’s love of money that’s the root of all evil. In other words, you start depending upon that, don’t you? It it creates a false dependency, and you see. But so you don’t sit down and say, “Oh, money’s bad. No, it’s the dependency that’s bad. When whenever you are living in a dependency on something else, except who we recreated to have dependency upon, who’s Jesus, it becomes a misplaced dependency, doesn’t it? So it’s not the money that’s bad; it’s our dependency upon it. It brings me self worth. Well, if your self worth is predicated on how much money you make, what are you going to be worth when you don’t have any money? You see, and that ties in, folks, to our identity because our identity is I’m a child of God. My identity is not in what I do. My identity is in who I am. I’m a child of the living God, and we have to understand that if our dependency is upon making money for my self worth, I’ve got a misplaced dependency. That’s the problem with that: is your dependency is off. Does that happen to all people? Not all people. Not all people. I think there are people who can have money that are that literally don’t have any dependency at all on that. Their self worth isn’t based on that. Their self worth is based strictly upon being a child of God, and they use their money to perpetuate the gospel. No big deal. I think I know some people like that. I can’t can’t read the hearts of all people, but Amy and I have had a lot of exposure to people, and there’s some people that I can say that I I think that deep down their heart money’s not that big a deal to them and and that’s why they use it the way they do unbelievably generous in the proclamation in in the support of the proclamation of the gospel. But in these particular cases where that deceitfulness of wealth begins to choke out that word, and it just becomes unfruitful to you.
Now here we’re going to be talking about another group, but the one who hears and receives the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word of God and understands it. God gives you an ability to understand the Word of God, and now you put faith in what you understand, and salvation is there.

Bob George 14:14
I hear about Jesus. I receive this Jesus. I receive this message. I understand this message. I received the message from the time I was a little boy, and I’d guarantee you, probably every person in this room received the same message. I believed Jesus was the Son of God. How many of you believed that from the time you were just a little kid, he is Son of God? How many of you believed that Jesus died on a cross for sins? Most, all of us did you or not? Some of you maybe didn’t. Okay, God, where what planet did you grow up on? No, most of us have heard that, but. I received that message, but I didn understand that meant for me. Jesus died for the sins of the world, but that didn’t include me. I didn’t understand that meant me, and one of the reasons that I didn’t understand it meant me is because I didn’t think me was that bad. Folks, when you’re talking about what coming to Christ, you’re talking about hearing a message, you’re talking about receiving a message, you’re hearing about understanding a message, and then you’re hearing about putting faith in that message. And there are many who hear and receive, but never understand and never put faith. You cannot put faith in what you don’t understand. Your heart cannot accept what your head rejects, and that’s exactly why the message of God goes right toward our our brains to get us to know something. That I want you to know that you have eternal life in Christ Jesus.
Now this seed that finally gets through, the one who receives this seed that fell on good soil is a man who hears the word, he understands it, and he produces a crop. He yielding 100, 60, 30 times what was sown. Folks, so many times in our lives, and I think especially living in this day and age and in America, where Christianity has become like a club to join. I’ve said so many times in regard to this identity that satan has so subtly entered into the entire realm of our society in every aspect of it, and there’s lures out there, and in every lure there’s a hook. And one of the lures that satan has used is: don’t teach people that they’re children of God when they come to Christ. Teach them they’re a Baptist, or a Presbyterian, or a Catholic, or a charismatic, or a non-charismatic, teach them those kind of things. I’ve given the illustration in our seminars of a jar, an empty jar, and you say you look at that and say, “What is that? And you would say, “A jar. You then fill that jar up with applesauce, and say, “What is that? What would you say? A jar of applesauce. What changed its identity? Who and what is in it? Before I was saved, I would be said, “I’m a child. Who am I today? A child of God. Why? What changed my identity? Because of who lives in me. And that’s a perfect picture of salvation, where you and I were cleansed at the cross. Why do you cleanse a jar? In order to cleanse it in such a way that when you put food in it, it won’t spoil. That was done once and for all, in order to be filled by Him. That is how ludicrous it is of people who do not believe that we’re indwelt by Christ. Then, who’s your identity? Where’s your identity coming from? My identity comes from the fact of who I’m indwelt by, just like that jar’s identity changes by what is indwelling that jar. That’s why they call it a jar of applesauce. You don’t just call it a jar. And then that jar was sealed, and that’s a perfect picture of salvation, cleansed at the cross, filled with the life of Jesus, and sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. And so you have a brand new identity.
Now satan comes along and says, “Well, people get a hold of that deal, and the only thing they’re going to ever call themselves are children of God. We can’t have that. So let’s put a new label on that. You know, like a name like Smuckers. It’s got to be good. And so let’s get everybody convinced that Smuckers. If it’s if a name like Smuckers, it’s got to be good. Because if I can convince everybody of that, why then it doesn’t make any difference what’s inside. You’re going to buy the label, and the label is what everybody’s going to buy. Say what? What? What do you? I smuckers. Is it good? I don’t know, but it’s smuckers. It’s got to be good. And so we stick Baptist on us with a name like. Baptists got to be good. Name like Presbyterian’s got to be good. Name like Methodist got to be good. Say, what do you believe? Who cares? I got a label. What’s in the jar? Nothing. But I got a label. And that’s what we live by: labels, man-made labels. What’s the problem then? It gets you off of dependency upon who you are from God’s standpoint and on who you are from a denominational standpoint. That right or wrong? Now, folks, there’s the problem. The problem with that is it pulls you away from who you are, as far as who God said you are. You are a child of the living God. Now, I can be a Baptist and not know the Lord from a spook, but I can’t be a child of God without knowing the Lord. That is exactly what it talks about in the Scriptures when it says, “Be not conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, which is your reasonable act of worship. Worship is not what we do in this assembly. Worship is making your body available to the living Christ. I beseech you to present your body now as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable in the sight of God, which is your reasonable act of worship. So, from God’s vantage point, what worship is is making your body available to the living God who lives in you to live His life in and through you. That’s true worship. Any lost person can sit in an assembly and get goosebumps singing songs. You do not have to be saved to lift your arms up to God or put them in your lap. And how important would either one of those be if you didn’t have arms? You do not have to be saved to be babbling in a tongue. How important would that be if you didn’t have one, or you were paralyzed, but you have to be saved to have Jesus living in you. No one is saved unless Christ Jesus is alive, living in you, and Jesus will not invade another person’s life without permission. He says, “I’m here. I’m standing, but it’s up to you to open the door. It will do you no good to believe I’m standing outside unless you act upon that and believe that I want to come in. And because you now believe that I want to come in, you exercise faith with the invitation. But if you’re just saying Jesus is standing outside, that’s not going to do you any good.
So faith comes into all of these things, and what we’ve done is substitute being a Catholic for being saved, or being a Baptist for being saved, or being a people-to-peopler for being saved. Catholics can’t save people. Protestants can’t save people. ____ can’t save people. Only Jesus saves people, and He does not save denominations. People say, “I got a Christian business. That’s interesting. Now He’s in the business of saving businesses. We have a Christian country. He didn’t come to save countries. He came to save people and only people, and so when you’re dealing with this entire area of this new life that we have in Christ, we have to realize that a rejection of the message of Christ comes from a hardened heart. It’s not that you cannot understand. Every person on the earth has an ability to understand the gospel. There’s no person that you can present the gospel to that doesn’t have the opportunity to understand it. It’s just our hearts get hardened, and we say, “I don’t need it. I’m too prideful. I don’t need the gospel. I don’t need Jesus’ life. I don’t need Jesus’ forgiveness. I don’t need any of that stuff. I’ll do it on my own. So, folks, when you see what Jesus was trying to get us to see, is apart from Him we can do nothing. That we don’t ask Jesus into our hearts to help us, as we say in text, it’s help us do something. We don’t need help. We need life. I don’t want Jesus to help me. I want Jesus to be my life. When Christ, who is your life, appears, we will appear with Him. Who is your life? Christ. So I don’t need Him to help me. I need Him for my life. That’s why Paul said, “For me to live is what? Christ. Christ, I’m crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, I live, yet not I, but it’s Christ that lives in me. And so He said, “I didn’t ask Jesus to come into my heart for a little help. I ask Him to come in to be my life, to be my everything, to be my righteousness, because I don’t have any righteousness apart from Him, so He is my righteousness to be my wisdom. I have no wisdom apart from Him. Say, what’s the problem that we see going on today? It’s lack of wisdom. Why? Because we’re not drawing upon the wisdom that’s available to us in Christ Jesus, we’re depending upon our own wisdom, and sooner or later, folks, as smart as we can get, it will fail you. It’ll fail you, won’t it? See, folks, sometimes the greatest tragedies that can happen in people’s lives it either does one of the two things: it keeps you relying upon your self-sufficiency, or it absolutely breaks you to the point of realizing, I have no wisdom. That’s why I need His. It is because of God that you and I are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us our wisdom, our righteousness, our holiness, our everything.
