Allow the Holy Spirit to Teach You ALL TRUTH

Trust in the Holy Spirit to teach you all truth. Don’t depend on what man says or what man teaches, for someone can be teaching you error. Be as a Berean, and study the word of God to see if things are as they claim to be taught. Learn in context and rely on the Holy Spirit to renew your mind. We have been taught much error through the years in our lives, and if we trust on our flesh to teach us, then we are relying on our own understanding of things instead of God. Reminder, for all those in Christ Jesus, we have the mind of Christ living in us. Trust in Him to teach you ALL TRUTH.

Our first caller Matthew called from San Diego, California. He wanted to share some insights he had in regards to going to a bible college. In that what they teach you at these colleges is not the truth.

Bob and Matthew edited up comparing notes on a lot of things. One is the incorrect teaching of 1 John 1:9, where at the bible colleges they teach you things that are simply not the truth. Then pastors camp out on these lies and continue spreading them. Bob also mentioned how the Holy Spirit teaches us all truth. And that we need to trust the Holy Spirit to do that. Furthermore, if the original Greek language was such an important thing to learn, how is it that in Greece you can find very few Christians? So even if you go to bible school to learn Greek, if you are being taught error, then you will end up camping on the error and not allowing the Holy Spirit to teach you truth.

Furthermore, if our education system is so wonderful in general, how is it that people are being taught from books that are blindly believed to be true? No one is taught on how to ascertain whether things are true or not.

The bottom line is we need to listen to the Holy Spirit on everything and have Christ Jesus renew our mind.

John 14:26
²⁶ But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

1 Corinthians 2:16
¹⁶ for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

Romans 12:2
² Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

The next caller was Ed, calling from McAllen, Texas. His question was on Jesus being tempted and knew God could not be tempted, and understood that Jesus was and is God.

Bob explains that Satan tempted Jesus, but Jesus could not be tempted. In essence, Satan threw all these things as temptations toward Jesus, yet Jesus being God could not be tempted by these things that were thrown at Him.

A third caller, Mark called from Denver, Colorado. He was asking about the book of Mark the last part of the scripture where Jesus sends out the disciples to on the Great Commission to go into the world and preach the gospel and to where he stood, one of my questions was when Sunday in Bible class one of the elders of the church, just flat out said that, you know, the things that are to follow, are those who believe where we can lay hands on people and they be healed, and cast out demons in Jesus name. And I was just wondering what your opinion is on that, if that’s for the apostles, and if that’s dead with the apostles, or whether that power is alive today?

Bob explains in detail in regards to this. Bob said. “Well, I wonder why he didn’t keep on reading. Why don’t you bring some rattlesnakes in there? Because he said, they’ll pick up snakes with their hands and why don’t you bring some poison in it? Some arsenic in there and let him drink it? That’s on the same passage.”

There are more details in regards to different manuscripts too. Listen in as Bob explains in detail about the earlier and later manuscripts.

The next caller, Mark called from Kitchener, Ontario listing on the internet. His question was on how to pray to God when he didn’t know the will of God?

Bob explains you can pray to God exactly in that manner. In essence, his question is to God to understand God’s will for a particular situation. We can go to God in prayer anytime and in any way and ask in accordance to His will.
