Do NOT Forget You Have Been Cleansed From ALL Your Sins of the Past

~ “But whoever lacks these traits is nearsighted to the point of blindness, having forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.” 2 Peter 1:9

~ Understanding the finality of the cross is critical for understanding exactly what Jesus did on the cross and what we are to believe that the cross means. For without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins, and Jesus is never going to die on the cross ever again. Yet religion and satan’s lies have taught the idea of ongoing forgiveness by God for the asking. Most people have forgotten they have been cleansed from ALL their sins at the cross. Because they have been brainwashed since birth to ask for forgiveness by God, and by some means God says, okay. That is the vending machine forgiveness we were all taught growing up. And it doesn’t matter whether you were Catholic, Protestant or some other religion, Satan taught the lie of “getting your sins forgiven by God” by some form of man making their requests to God to do what has already been done. That is NOT Faith, but it is in fact depending on what they themselves are doing instead of resting in the the Finality of the Cross.

And folks, remember this, All your sins were forgiven at the cross, because we were ALL born after the cross, and Jesus took away all the sins from Adam past to eternity future. No sins of ours were left unforgiven. He is the One who did it all at the cross.

Bible Study Books

Bob George addresses a caller from Alexandria, Virginia, who is concerned about her husband’s behavior and potential homosexuality. Bob advises her to confront her husband directly and monitor his actions. He emphasizes that true Christianity is demonstrated by actions at home, not just church attendance. Another caller from Plainfield, Indiana, expresses gratitude for Bob’s ministry, which helped her understand the finality of the cross. Bob explains that true faith involves resting in Christ’s completed work, not seeking ongoing forgiveness. A caller from Fullerton, California, discusses the concept of falling away from the faith, with Bob clarifying that it refers to those who return to their old traditions and sin against the knowledge of truth.

“Well, thank you, Darwin. Darwin, I’m not going to spend a whole lot of time on that. We spend a great, you know, we do that every day on there, and I think most people know where we stand in regard to the finality of the cross. It is the fact that, however, I will say this, that, like, I think you’re testifying your own life until a person has come to the realization of the finality of the cross, not a head knowledge but an experience knowledge, they’ll never enter into the newness of life that is in Christ Jesus to have to experience the fullness of God. In other words, it’s like Peter says, you may be saved, but you’re supposed to add to your faith goodness, brotherly love, perseverance, all of those type of things. And he said, if these are not yours in increasing measure, you’re blind indeed, and have forgotten that you have been cleansed of all of your past sins. And so that passage alone is telling us that unless and until we can quit asking God to do what He has already accomplished and begin to realize that if I am in Christ, because in Him we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins, and so to continue asking him for what you already have is not faith, it’s very much presumption, and if you’re thinking you’re pleasing God, you’re something wrong with your understanding of what pleases God, because it says in the Bible, without faith it’s impossible to please God, and that is not faith, it isn’t faith to ask God to do what He’s already done, and so until we can finalize that truth, and to say I am a forgiven person, and rest in that truth, resting from your works, just as He did from His. That’s all a part of entering into the Sabbath rest. How are you ever going to grow? And Peter says you can’t. He says you absolutely cannot grow until you have finalized the cross in your own experience, now again, a lot of times people mistake that with the confession of sin, and you do not confess. I said you do not mistake those two. We’re talking about asking God to forgive you when the truth is He already has. And if I’m going to walk by faith, then I’m going to have to walk by faith in what is true from God’s standpoint, not what is true from my denomination’s persuasion. So, again, do we confess our sins? The Bible tells us, confess your sins one to another, so that you’ll be healed of the rift that is between one another. We spend all of our time confessing our sins to God instead of confessing them to the people that we’ve offended, and the issue is that if God is telling me something, it’s telling me something that I have done to offend my brother, and we need to come to realize that if I’ve offended somebody, God puts on my heart to go and to take care of that issue. If you’ve stolen somebody, He puts it on your heart to go. And return what you’ve stolen. If you’ve committed adultery, somebody tells you you’ve done wrong. Now cut it out and get up and live a decent life. So God is continually instructing us as to what to do, and if I didn’t agree with God in what He told me to do, then I’m really in tough shape, because now I’m in rebellion toward God. So we will continually be agreeing, which is what the word confess means, and we have to go to the original, not to our English translation, to interpret. If you don’t know what confess means, you got to go to the Greek, what it was written in, and they’ll tell you what it means. It means to say the same thing as to agree with God, and so until when, if we’re sitting in rebellion toward God, we’re not going to agree with Him.” ~ Bob George
