The New Covenant Was Delivered by The Death of Jesus on The Cross

~ Therefore Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, now that He has died to redeem them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.

In the case of a will, it is necessary to establish the death of the one who made it, because a will does not take effect until the one who made it has died; it cannot be executed while he is still alive.

That is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood. For when Moses had proclaimed every commandment of the law to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, along with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people, saying, “This is the blood of the covenant, which God has commanded you to keep.”

In the same way, he sprinkled with blood the tabernacle and all the vessels used in worship. According to the law, in fact, nearly everything must be purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. Hebrews 9:15-22

~ It is important that we understand that it was through the death of Jesus on the cross that brought in the New Covenant, the New agreement, the New will of God for All people. And we enter into that will of God through Faith in Jesus, the faithful One of God to have taken away the sins of the world, and the world includes you too! So once you have accepted Jesus to have done that for you, He sends His Holy Spirit to come live in you to give you eternal life, and to guide you in ALL Truth.

If you haven’t placed Faith in Jesus today, it’s as simple as agreeing with God’s word, and believe what Scriptures say. Then everything becomes new. You yourself become a new creation in Christ Jesus.

Bible Study Books

“I think you’d be better off on that of using the ninth chapter of Hebrews, where it talks about the fact that no will, which is a testament or covenant, goes into effect until the one who made it dies, so the New Covenant actually went into effect at the death of Christ, and therefore you’re able to easily understand that if it went into effect at the death of Christ, just like your will or the people’s will that you were talking to will not go into effect until the day they die. We, you understand that anybody understands that that means that Jesus taught under the Old Covenant, not under the New Covenant, because he hadn’t died yet, and so unteaching under the Old Covenant, he buried them, he showed them what pure righteousness was in his life, and in so doing showed us our unrighteousness, which is the only thing compared would prepare us for the cross, if he had not taught his righteousness, and in so doing showing me my unrighteousness, I would not be prepared for the cross. And so everything that Jesus taught in the Gospels buried us there in any way in the world that we can hold up to that, turn the other cheek, just let people come up and slap the daylights out of you, and turn the other sheet. Try that on for size, try being perfect on for size. Let’s see how well we do. And so that was him, he was saying this is what perfection is, but it’s in me, it’s not in you, and that’s what prepares us for the New Covenant. But the New Covenant actually went into effect at the death of Christ, and then was activated on the day of Pentecost into our lives.” ~ Bob George
