Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P1069 (09-19-25)
Living Under the New Covenant For Today
~ Forgive as the Lord FORGAVE (past tense) you. If we do not understand the new covenant that we live under today, we will consonantly be mixing the old with the new. Yet we are told in the scriptures that we are not to mix things together. We are not to place New wine in Old wine skins, for when the New wine ferments it will cause the old wine skins to burst, and then all the New wine is lost.
~ And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. Instead, new wine is poured into new wineskins.” Mark 2:22
~ If we do not realize that God Jesus forgave us at the cross, and that was done by Jesus God Himself as a past action for ALL sins, and God did it without our asking for it, then we will not understand how to forgive others. And if we still are waiting around for people to ask us to forgive them, we could be waiting a long time, because to them it is long gone, especially if it was something minor in their mind, yet who are we to actually hold a grudge, when God no longer is counting anyone’s sins against them?
~ “Bear with one another and forgive any complaint you may have against someone else. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” Colossians 3:13
Now we are also to be smart in Christ Jesus too. For example, if someone is stealing from you, how much sense does it make to keep letting them steal from you? Or if someone did steal from you, and never admits to it at all. How could you ever trust them in certain situations again. Or if someone is being physically abused by someone else, how much sense does it make to keep letting them physically abuse you and cause additional harm to you? That is not what the word of God is saying here.
The Holy Spirit is making the TRUTH known in the word of God. And through us who share the message of God’s grace and His reconciliation of them to God. “For God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s trespasses against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.” 2 Corinthians 5:19.

Bob George discusses theological concepts on his radio show, addressing questions from listeners. He explains the distinction between being created in God’s image and being born in Adam’s image, emphasizing that humans are born with a spirit meant to be indwelt by God. Bob clarifies that foreknowledge is beyond human comprehension and warns against misinterpreting scriptures like Jeremiah 1:5 and Psalms 139:13. He advises against attending churches that teach error, such as prosperity gospel and speaking in tongues. Bob also explains the difference between the old and new covenants, stressing that forgiveness is a privilege under the new covenant.
“Yeah, Rodney, and that’s as you know, that is a good question based upon the end of the Lord’s Prayer where it says, For if you do not forgive your brother here on Earth, your Father in heaven will not forgive you. And that would be true if there wasn’t a new covenant. But the question comes only because of not understanding the difference between the old and the new. You cannot bring that together with God. Was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not counting their sins against him. You can’t bring those two to be together in harmony. If you don’t forgive your brother, your Father in heaven will not forgive you, and that God was in Christ, forgiving the world. I. Uh, you can’t bring that together if you’re under a single covenant. But that Old Covenant went into effect, and this is in the book of Hebrews, went into effect at the death of Christ. Jesus, just like a will, will not go into effect until you die. If you have a will, I hope you do, it will not go into effect until the day that you die. You know that, don’t you? Yeah. And if you made a number of wills through your life, which one would go into effect?
That’s right, the Last one that you made. Now, so the Jesus taught under the Old Covenant, the covenant of the law, the covenant with speculation to it and with conditions to it. And the condition under the law is, I will forgive you if you forgive your brother, no man could live under that. Rodney, everything that Jesus taught as an example, the ball says that don’t commit adultery. I say, if you look at a woman with lust in your heart, you’ve already committed adultery. That kind of annihilates the male population that that the law says that don’t kill but I say if you’re angry at somebody, it’s the same thing that and that annihilates the rest of it. There is no man, as it says. Paul later says that under the law, there is no one who will ever be declared righteous in the sight of God through obedience to the law. So God so Jesus taught under the law and buried us under it. Those kind of statements were made to show man, Lord, I can’t do that. And he says, Now you’re ready for what I came to do, and that’s die on a cross and to be raised from the dead, to give life to you, to bring in a new covenant of grace, where you are totally out of the equation, and it’s all me and none of you under the Old Covenant, you’re involved in the equation under the new you’re not. Why? Because if I put one little thing to do just like that seems like easy. If you don’t forgive your brother, here on Earth, I won’t forgive you. No problem with that, Lord. I’ll forgive my brother. No, we can’t. No, we won’t. If I put one condition, you’d blow it. And so the New Covenant was a covenant of grace where he said their sins and lawless acts, I will remember no more, and where these have been, not will be, but have been forgiven. There is no longer any sacrifice for sins that’s in Hebrews nine read those passages Rodney because it explains the new covenant in which we live today. It’s a covenant of grace, yeah, and the study guide will amplify it. So there’s the difference between the old and the new. Under the old, if you don’t forgive your brother here on Earth, Your Father will not forgive you. Under the new covenant, I have taken away your sins from the eyes of God, never to see them again. And when I come back, I’m not going to come back to bear sin. Why? Because I’ve done it. And I said, it’s finished. I said, paid in full, and there’s no more forgiveness to be executed on my behalf, toward you. If there was one sin to be executed on his behalf, toward us, then he lied when he cried out from the cross, paid in full. So that’s the difference between the old and the new. People that don’t understand that will get up and teach out of Jesus teachings as as instead of using those teachings as preparatory for salvation, that’s the way we’re supposed to live. It says, if, as a child of God, what does it say to me? It says, Forgive one another. How, as Christ, Jesus forgave you. So my motivation for forgiveness of my brother is not that I don’t God isn’t going to forgive me, but the motivation is God has forgiven me. God has forgiven them. So who am I not to forgive them? It’s not an obligation. It’s a privilege that we have.” – Bob George

John 6:28,29
28 Therefore they said to Him, “What must we do, that we may be doing the works of God?”
29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you should believe in Him whom He has sent.”
