Rest in The Holiness of Jesus Christ, NOT Our Own

~ “For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. There remains, then, a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For whoever enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from His. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same pattern of disobedience.” Hebrews 4:8-11

The problem we have today, is that we are so quick to listen to what Man has to say about things rather than listening to the Holy Spirit teach us TRUTH from the word of God. Most are not willing to listen to Truth, for they have their own ideas of righteousness instilled in them since birth. And Catholicism and Protestantism are two sides of the same religious con game. Satan has used both of them to keep the lies of religion going on and on. And to break free of that, a person is going to have to focus on Jesus and Truth from the word of God. For Jesus is TRUTH, and in him is no lie.

So how does one go about living by TRUTH today? With the proper foundation, Jesus. Everything begins with Jesus and to live our lives through Jesus living in us. No one can save themselves by what they do. No one can make themselves more holy. When a person receives Christ Jesus, they apply Faith to the equation. They believe what Jesus said is TRUE. “It is Finished.” There is no more forgiveness being handed out by God. However, for the person that doesn’t trust TRUTH, they are going back to God and NOT walking by faith, but they are walking based on what makes them feel good. Many of them continue to ask for forgiveness from God because it makes them feel good to ask God to do what he has already done. Forget about the Truth, they throw away TRUTH and count it of no value to them, for they are saying that by their very actions. I’m going to do it my way, I don’t care what the word of God says. And they are very proud of their actions too.

Walking by faith is from first to last according to God’s word. Faith is not something you try to do. Faith is basic math; 1 plus 1 equals 2. Faith is NOT hard. However, if a person refuses to do the basic addition of faith, they will then be tossed around by every wind of doctrine. We constantly hear of people say, “I’m trying to have faith,” as though that is something they can conjure up by something they do. Instead of focusing on Jesus, they will go to their church pastors and priests that teach lies on a weekly bases, and get more brainwashed by these ministers of Satan as they go, and then come back the next week saying, “I’m trying to have faith.” They have not exercised Faith at all. And it is important to understand that faith is a very practical word that is NOT just a religious word that is applied to everything today. Faith is more than just placing faith in Jesus to be saved. And it’s NOT how big our faith is, but who we place our faith in. When you know, you know, and there is no turning back. True Faith is saying, “I believe you Jesus, no matter what other people say, and not even what I thought was true myself and taught from birth.” Faith is built up by reading the word of God. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. Faith is flushing out the lies of Satan in our lives and getting rid of them. Faith is declaring what is TRUTH. Faith is walking in the Spirit. Faith is realizing and understanding ALL the lies as we are shown them today by the Holy Spirit, and start Trusting in the Holy Spirit for ALL TRUTH, and living by what we have been shown by Him to be Truth. Faith says I had wrongly believed the lies of Satan and the lies of the world, and now I will allow the Holy Spirit to lead me on the path of ALL TRUTH and to renew my mind as He said He would. Start with the proper foundation first. Jesus is our foundation. He is TRUTH. Once a person is saved, then go on in His Life living in you. “For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith virtue; and to virtue, knowledge;” 2 Peter 1:5 Live in His goodness, live in His Holiness, and expand knowledge and understanding by focusing on Him to teach you things with His mind living in you.

For the gospel reveals the righteousness of God that comes by faith from start to finish, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” Romans 1:7

Consider having a Bible study yourself and teaching one or two others the Truth of the word of God. Those with ears, they will want to hear. We have many excellent Bible study books that are very easy to use that involve simply reading the word of God and answering the questions provided. The answers themselves are right there in the word of God.

Lord Jesus, teach me the TRUTH of the world we live in today and the Truth of You.

~ “Trials are talked about in the Scripture about soils that people are saved and the trials of life, all of a sudden the seed goes away. What does it mean you weren’t saved to begin with. You’re either in Christ saved, or you’re out of Christ lost. When you continue doubting truth, then you never knew truth. And if you never knew truth, you need to die to yourself and to come alive in Christ, if you never knew truth. If you’ve already done that and you are in Christ, Jesus truly not just coming to him for his death for you, but his life in you, not just accepting him as a fire insurance policy to keep from going to hell, but accepting him as your very life here on this earth and to be able to walk in truth. Then you can’t keep resisting truth, you’re going to go through trials and tribulation. Jesus said, In this world, you’ll have trials and tribulation. The issue as to where you’re walking isn’t depending on anything except how you respond to that, not how you act, but how do you respond when trials and tribulation hit you. How do you respond if you heard you had terminal cancer, how to respond when you hear that your wife’s leaving you or your husband’s leaving you, how to respond when one of your kids is out on drugs. That’s going to show you where you’re walking. You can go act all day long, but the real you is going to be determined by how you respond. Circumstances don’t cause your nature. They reveal your nature. The adverse circumstances you run into reveals where you’re walking. And so if it reveals to you that you’re not walking by faith, but you’re walking by sight, then what God wants to do is to quit walking by sight and begin walking by faith.” ~ Bob George
