Tithing is Not in The New Covenant ~ Quit Trying to Live Under Old Covenant Law

~ Tithing is Old Testament. It was what the Hebrews were to do to set them apart and to support the Levitical priesthood, which was only to Israel. Has nothing to do with the church. It had to do with Israel. When there have been a Bible in the New Testament, it says where there’s a change of the priesthood, there must also be a change of the law. That I hope that you’re not under the Levite priesthood. So in as much as there has been a change in the priesthood, Christ, Jesus is your priest. There has to be a change to the law, including tithing. And that’s why Paul devoted two chapters in Corinthians to freewill giving, to give joyfully to get to excel in the grace of giving, not the law of giving the grace of giving. To give joyfully to give in accordance to what you do have not in accordance what you don’t have. There’s so that’s that is why would he devote two chapters to how to give. If we were to tithing just said just keep on a tithe and folks, okay, so we, so you give joyfully and freely. Absolutely, you excel, in the grace of giving. And this these people that keep tears, they drive me crazy after a while, then people understand anything in regard to the New Covenant that we are in today that took place at the cross of Christ Jesus, where he ushered in a brand New Covenant of grace. On this side of the cross, the word faith is used all over the Bible, but in the Old Testament, one verse, that ought to tell us something. They couldn’t walk by faith because the object of their faith was not there yet. And once the object of our faith appeared, and that was Christ Jesus, then from that point on, we walk by faith in Him, and not in Old Testament. There isn’t anything, if they couldn’t obey it, they couldn’t walk by faith, how in the world do we think we’re going to walk by faith?”

In regards to freewill giving, 2nd Corinthians chapters eight and nine spell that out for you.

~ Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. ^{2 Corinthians 9:7}
