No One Can Live Under Both The Old and New Covenants

~ The old covenant doesn’t even exist today. No one can or could keep the old covenant of God. The law of God was fulfilled by Jesus, and he ushered in a new covenant upon his death on the cross. So it’s super important that we actually understand what the new covenant is. God is NOT counting your sins against you. God is NOT counting anyone’s sins against them. That is what enables a person to recognize the love of God, for God so loved the world that he sent His Son, that whoso ever believes in Him should not perish and shall have eternal life. When a person accepts Jesus and what he did on the cross for them, the Holy Spirit comes to live in them immediately giving a person eternal life. And by the way, it is NOT some future event, it is this very moment that a person places faith in the Son. When you have the Son, you have Life.

~ Then he adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.” ^{Hebrews 10:17}

What about the Lord’s Prayer?
~ “Very, very good question Michael. And and discerning on your part to pick it up, is the difference between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant. You see, this is what when I say to people all the time, how do you pull that passage together with after the cross, where the New Covenant went into effect, Chapter Nine of Hebrews talks about the fact that we have now been given a New Covenant where their sins and lawless acts I’ll remember no more, and where these have been, have been forgiven. There’s no longer any sacrifice for sins. How do you pull those two together? That God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not counting your sins against you. And if you don’t forgive your brother, your Father will not forgive you. You can’t. That’s a contradiction, unless you recognize the difference between the Old Covenant and the new. Jesus taught under the Old Covenant, the new didn’t go into effect until he’s dead. That’s what it says in Hebrews. It’s like a will. I will Michael, if you have a will, it won’t go into effect until you die. And the New Covenant did not go into effect until the death of Christ. Okay, so Michael, you see the New Covenant went into effect at the death of Jesus that can Hebrew says that a covenant does not go into effect, or a will a covenant of will at a testament all those are interchangeable words, the Old Testament, the Old Well, the old cabinet, is contrast to the new cabinet, the new will the New Testament. That did not go into effect until the death of Jesus just like if you have a will. It won’t go Until effect until you die will it? That’s correct. Yeah. And so the New Covenant didn’t go into effect until the death of Jesus. So Jesus taught not under the New Covenant snot they didn’t like and it just wasn’t here. He had it. And he buried us under the Old Covenant. Everything that Jesus said was for the purpose of showing us, we cannot do it. Everything. He said, If you don’t forgive your father or your prayer here on Earth, I won’t forgive you well they hated, they hated the Samaritans. They hated the Gentiles. They hated each other. And they say, Well, how am I going to get to heaven then? He said, Well, you can’t apart from recognizing, you can’t do what I’m telling you to do. And that’s when you’re ready for the cross. Be perfect, how perfect Lord? As perfect as your Father in heaven. That’s all we’ll do. I can’t do that. Good. Now you’re ready for the cross. Do not look at a woman with lust in your heart. If you do, it’s same as adultery. And if you do, you’re better off to pluck out your eye. Lord, I can’t pluck out my eye don’t want to pluck out my eye and I can’t quit looking at a woman with lust in your heart. Good. Now you’re ready for the cross and the resurrection. So everything Jesus taught was showing what perfect righteousness was. But it’s in him not in us. We are not a none of us are righteous, There is none righteous, no, not one. And everything he did was to show us how unrighteous we are, so that we would come to Christ and receive His righteousness. So you can see the difference between the old and the new Michael, then the Bible falls together. If you don’t, man, you gotta roll it right, you got to read over some of these passages real quick and hope that nobody heard them. In order to eliminate the devil standard.” ~ Bob George
