Jesus is The Resurrection And The LIFE

~ Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me will live, even though he dies. And everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25,26

~ When you receive Jesus, and what He did for you at the cross, He comes to live in you and gives you Eternal Life, the very moment you place Faith in Him. Life begins the minute you have Jesus living in you. His Spirit now lives in you if you have received Him. He will always be there for you and in you. You become a New creation the very moment that happens. You become a child of God.

1 John: 5:9-15

Even if we accept human testimony, the testimony of God is greater. For this is the testimony that God has given about His Son. Whoever believes in the Son of God has this testimony within him; whoever does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given about His Son.

And this is that testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we already possess what we have asked of Him.

Bob George addresses Pamela’s confusion about her relationship with a man who became friends with a married woman. Bob advises Pamela to focus on her own life and not to feel guilty for confronting the situation. He emphasizes the importance of personal faith in Christ, explaining spiritual death and life through Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection and explains what salvation is in Jesus. Pamela expresses her love for the man and her concern for his well-being. Bob reassures her, guiding her to accept Christ and move forward. Mary Lynn calls in, seeking clarification on her faith, and Bob shares his personal testimony and encourages her to deepen her relationship with Christ.

“Well, Pamela, let’s start there. Let’s, let’s deal with that issue and just start and start there. Okay, you see what? When we are born into this world, we are born dead spiritually. In other words, when Adam sinned and the Spirit of God departed from his human spirit, we were left dead spiritually. What death is, the absence of light is or life, what darkness is, is the absence of light, and what spiritual death is, is the absence of of of a living Spirit living in us. So we’re all born that way and and so when Christ came to this earth, He came to cure the wages of sin, which is spiritual death, by the gift of God, which is spiritual life. So what salvation is is being made alive spiritually, because all people are born dead spiritually. Now in order to give you and me spiritual life, he had to deal with what caused spiritual death, and that was sin, and He dealt with that issue once and for all at the cross. 2000 years ago, and there he who knew no sin became sin for you, so that in him you could become the righteousness of God. So the Scripture tells us that that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not counting their sins against them. So when Christ went to the cross 2000 years ago, he took away the sins of the entire world. Now, if salvation was merely getting your sins forgiven, everybody would be saved. But that’s not what salvation is. The cross is the preamble and the necessary was totally necessary as the prerequisite that had to be done, because sin was the cause of death. He had to deal what caused death before he could cure death permanently. So he took away the sins of the world. Now, his resurrection, you see, is where Now salvation occurs, and again, both of them, the cross and the resurrection, are in salvation, but what we’re saved from IS THE WAGES OF SIN, which is death, and by the gift of God, which is life. So it’s through his resurrection that raised from the dead, having entered into your spiritual death with you, raised from the dead, so that now you could enter into His spiritual life with him. And so that all comes by faith, and when we come to recognize my condition, my condition when I was 36 years of age, my condition was, I was a sinner, and my condition was, I was dead spiritually. Now, I had sat in church all my life, and I had heard about Jesus, and I believed he was the Son of God, and I believed that he died on a cross. Didn’t know for who I believed he was raised from the dead. Beyond that, I knew nothing. But I believed all those things, but I was not born again. I did not know. Number one, I did not see my need for forgiveness that much, and I certainly didn’t know I was dead spiritually. So I saw no need at all for resurrected life. But when the gospel was communicated to me, and I understood that I was a sinner and that Jesus died on a cross to take away my sins, all of them, not some of them, all of them, and he was raised from the dead to give me life, and I recognized my spiritual death, then I was ready to receive by faith the fullness of the gospel of Christ, His death for me and his life in me. And when we do that, we’re what the scripture says. We are born again of the Spirit of God. In other words, the Spirit of God comes to take up residence in your life and to give you spiritual life, never to leave you nor forsake you. It’s called eternal life. And that emptiness Pamela that we sense in our lives, you know, I remember bouncing prayers off the ceiling, not having a meaning and purpose to life, desperately looking for unconditional love and acceptance, and people never being able to find it. And all of that need was a spiritual need that could only be met in Christ. And so what he’s saying to you is, Pamela, if you have never by faith, entered into this relationship, accepting me totally as the one who took away your sins, never to see them again, not just yesterday and today, but forever. And have accepted my resurrection life, the offer of my resurrected life to you and recognize your spiritual death, and are ready for life, then I’m ready to come and take up residence and live in you and family. If you’ve never taken that step as an act of your will, of being able to say, Lord, I accept this, and I want you to come and be my Lord and Savior, and that’s the desire of your heart. Tonight, I would love to pray with you and just enter into that relationship.

Are you ready to do that tonight? Okay, well, Pamela, let’s just pray together, and I’m going to say a prayer, and prayer is not what saves you, it’s your faith, and quite frankly, you’ve already by your desire to do this, you’ve already entered into that relationship by faith, but what you’re doing now is merely talking to God and confirming that. So why don’t you just repeat after me.”

“Lord Jesus, I need you. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins, taking them away, never to see them again. I thank you for now offering me your life. To come into my heart, to be my Lord and my Savior, and my best friend, never to ever leave me nor forsake me. I thank you for this, in Jesus name.”
