Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P1059 (08-15-25)

Jesus is Our Very LIFE Now

~ Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me will live, even though he dies. And everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25,26

When you receive Jesus, and accept Him as God in the flesh, for having taken away all your sins at the cross, then by faith you are agreeing with God, and He gives you eternal LIFE at that very moment in time. Salvation is LIFE, not getting your sins forgiven. Salvation is the very Life of God, the Holy Spirit coming to indwell you. And nothing you do can kick the Holy Spirit out of you. Why? Because “the Law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the Law of sin and death.” Romans 8:2 So rest in TRUTH. Believe it. Don’t let anyone deceive you into thinking you can lose life. Because Life is permanent, eternal, and it is something you have the very moment He comes to live in you. That’s why the child of God, when they go to sleep one final time in this body of flesh, they wake up in a new body. Even though their body of flesh and blood dies, they themselves NEVER die. They live forever and ever.

The bottom line for today is, for anyone not in Christ Jesus yet, and are reading this or listening to the program, do you want to have Life that is Eternal? It’s a simple question, Do you want to have God’s Life in you, giving you Eternal Life, never to leave you, never to forsake you, always to be there, to be your best friend forever, and always be able to talk with Him no matter what the circumstances are? And He will never condemn you for anything. He loves you completely and wants you to experience the Love of God for Life too. And He will renew your mind on TRUTH. And ALL things will become new!

2 Corinthians 5:16-21

~ Therefore from now, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have regarded Christ according to flesh, yet now we regard Him thus no longer. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away; behold, the new has come into being.

Now all things are of God, the One having reconciled us to Himself through Christ, and having given to us the ministry of reconciliation: how that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not reckoning their trespasses to them, and having put into us the word of reconciliation.

Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God is beseeching through us. We implore on behalf of Christ: Be reconciled to God. He made the One not having known sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

1 John: 5:9-15

Even if we accept human testimony, the testimony of God is greater. For this is the testimony that God has given about His Son. Whoever believes in the Son of God has this testimony within him; whoever does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given about His Son.

And this is that testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we already possess what we have asked of Him.

Bob George discusses Romans 11:13-22, emphasizing the distinction between HEBREWS and Gentiles. Dan from Fullerton questions the passage’s relevance to eternal security, which Bob clarifies is about HEBREW and Gentile relations. Michael from Phoenix shares his transformative prison experience, praising Bob’s teachings. Kelly inquires about Judas’ remorse, with Bob explaining his suicide as a sign of regret but not salvation. Aaron from Lithia Springs seeks scriptural support for eternal salvation, which Bob provides from Romans. Finally, Bob addresses the possibility of a Christian committing suicide, asserting that true believers cannot lose their salvation.

” If a person is truly in Christ, Jesus, they’re going to go into the presence of Christ, Jesus, regardless of what they do because of what Jesus did. Now, the passages are talked about. They went out from among us because they weren’t a part of us. And so you have a lot of people where that takes place. You have people who claim to be a Christian and go through all the motions and all the vernacular, and then comes a time say, I don’t believe anymore. The reason you don’t believe anymore is you never did you did. Because if you believed, you can’t change your mind. It’s not the case that I believe something, but I can change my mind, but it’s something you give your life to it. That’s what total repentance is. It’s not well, I’ll just see how this works. Kind of hedge, my bad, a little bit, but it’s a total change of heart and a total change of mind. Once that’s taken place, just like the caterpillar and the butterfly, you can’t be a caterpillar again. And so it’s a total change of identity that you cannot return to. And so, if you are in Christ, is it possible for a person who is in Christ to get despondent? Is it possible for a person in Christ to get discouraged? Is it possible for a person in Christ to get disappointed? Is it possible for a person in Christ to get angry? Is it possible for a person in Christ to get fearful? Is it possible for a person in Christ to exercise self pity? Now all of those are the ingredients of depression, and all you have to do is to do is to just get those ingredients together and stir them up, and you’re going to be into despondency. And when a person is in a condition of despondency, has lost all hope and everything they could commit suicide. And so we we have to get away from these thoughts that, what if a person does this, are they going to lose their salvation? That’s just another way of talking about the loss of salvation. And the issue is that, if you have salvation, and that’s, that’s the if, if you have salvation, it’s eternal, and it is unable to be lost because of the cross of Christ. The issue is, have you come to him for life, or have you just come for forgiveness? Or, like we studied Sunday, is it just people that believed in his name because he saw his miracles, and then Jesus said, I didn’t entrust myself to them, because I know man. I don’t need the testimony of man about man. And so whether you’ve come to him or not, that’s something only you and your heart knows, and God knows. But if you have then you possess a life called eternal life. And the minute you die, regardless whether it’s by your own doing or somebody else’s, you’ll be absent from the body and present with the Lord. The problem with that, Bob is you miss out on a blessing. Yes, indeed. But again, the cause of that is allowing yourself to get into that position of despondency. There’s the problem, yeah. And so that’s where we try to help people out of that with our depression series.” – Bob George
