Classic Christianity – Book of John p14 (11-12-18)

Bob George TeachingBob George, from the original People to People radio for over 30 years, continues teaching from the book of John. He starts out by introducing the thinking of an atheist and agnostic in regards to their lack of understanding of the truth of God. Then he transitions to how the child of God, or believer, knows the truth of God and has the indwelling Spirit of God to reveal truth to him. The believer has the choice to walk by the flesh or by the Spirit. Bob shares some common patterns of walking in the flesh and the absolute necessity of having the Spirit of God at work in you. Without the Holy Spirit, the believer cannot love and his natural tendency in the flesh is to walk in fear or anger.

Bob also explains the relationship between faith, hope and love and the typical flesh pattern of living in fear, sin really. Fear leads to anger or the building of defensive walls as barriers to relationships. With fear, one is not free to love someone else and fear leads to anger.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Book of John p13 (11-07-18)

Bob George TeachingWelcome to Class Christianity Radio with Bob George, the clear, timeliness teaching on the complete forgiveness and unconditional love of Jesus, that will transform your life as you learn about God’s amazing love. Let’s join Bob as he continues sharing through the book of John. Currently, we are studying John 5:19-30. Bob begins the lesson showing how modern day church organizations and denominations so often are not operating by the Spirit of God, with Jesus as the head, but as religious activities for God to bless. He presents several examples of religious activities and briefly retells the story of the religious Pharisees from yesterday’s sermon. He then re-explains the concept of the Trinity, with emphasis of how Jesus lived on earth in total dependence on His Father. Bob then further explains the function of the Holy Spirit in a believer. He particularly focuses on the role of the Holy Spirit as counselor, to help a believer to identify error in thinking, and replace such error with truth. Bob then further explains man’s most basic problem is not that he is a sinner, but that he is spiritually dead and in need of life.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Currently, we are looking at John 4:46 – 5:20. Bob shares insight into one question Jesus asked a man who was an invalid for over 38 years: “Do you want to get well?” Bob made several observations, the invalid’s attitude and initial unbelief, the invalid’s coming to believe, and the response of the religious leaders. Bob made a point to identify what religion does to keep people blind to truth and what a real relationship with Jesus does to change lives. Bob said that there is nothing more stupid than religion. Then Bob shares how the Holy Spirit living in you was modeled first by Jesus living as a man to show us how to live, to live totally dependent on God. Classic Christianity – Book of John p11 (11-05-18)

Bob George TeachingWelcome to Class Christianity Radio with Bob George on the clear, timeliness teaching on the complete forgiveness and unconditional love of Jesus, that transforms your life as you learn about God’s amazing love. Let’s join Bob as he continues sharing through the book of John. Currently, we are looking at John 4:28-54 concerning the Samaritan woman who shares her testimony to the local town and how through her testimony and the words of Jesus, many come to believe. Bob shares from these passages what is true evangelism and true discipleship. Evangelism is sharing the good news of Christ so someone is led to become a child of God by their expressed faith in the word of truth in the gospel, the message of good news. Discipleship is the exhortation and encouragement so someone comes to understand all that has been done for them by Jesus Christ and continues to grow in that new relationship as a child of God. There is no better way than learning from the Spirit of God what is the meaning of God’s word!

From this passage, Bob starts by sharing a sample prayer of someone who has faith.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Book of John p10 (10-31-18)

Bob George TeachingBob explains the gospel of good news by sharing numerous scriptures and discerning questions. He starts by sharing from 1 Corinthians 15:1-5, in regards to the necessity of Jesus death, burial, and resurrection, and asks the question, “What is the gospel?” He then shares examples of men who were quite successful in this world, but how futile their life is without Christ. He shares from the booklet he wrote titled “Born Free” that provides more details on the lives of these men and their tragic ending (https://bobgeorge.net/books-by-bob-george/born-free/). So man, without the life of Christ, tries to find meaning and purpose in occupation, worldly success, sexual encounters, friends, and all kinds of things, none of which fill the God-sized vacuum in their inner being. Man’s fundamental problem is that he is spiritually dead and in need of new life, God’s life.

God gave the first created man, Adam, the choice to depend on God for life. When one reads Genesis, one reads that he was told that if he should eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he will surely die (Genesis 2:17).… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Book of John p9 (10-30-18)

Bob George TeachingBob George continues teaching from the book of John, reminding people of the gospel that was preached to you. As believers, we have the wonderful privilege to share that same gospel message to others. He starts by sharing the mental roadblocks that prevents believers from sharing the greatest news ever. He reminds u again of how we would respond to truth when we were first lost in sin. Did we all accept the message upon first hearing? Some did. Others did not. So why do we not share? Sometimes we look to our insecurities, perceived lack of abilities in sharing truth, or even simply our fear of man in what they might think. Bob then shares some practical advice, from personal life experiences of God’s work in him, and finishes by sharing again what the gospel really is.

Bob George shares again the story of Jesus encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well and his testimony of how his unsaved preacher came to know Christ through a simple letter that touched his heart. Bob used the passage to explain how his friend, Charles Spurgeon, did not know God, but God knew all about the longing in his heart, his weakness in the flesh.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
