Water Baptism Doesn’t Save Anyone

~ And while they were gathered together, He commanded them: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift the Father promised, which you have heard Me discuss. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:4,5

~ There are those today, that say water baptism is necessary for salvation. Then there are others saying that water baptism is commanded to be done after a person is saved as though they are doing something bad if they are not baptised with water. Here is the thing though, people have no clue about the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is hardly taught today, because most focus on water baptism. And the majority of the time that people are getting water baptised, it is never even explained to them, because the pastors of today are most likely not saved themselves either. And it doesn’t matter whether Catholics or Protestants, this teaching of water baptism is taught as a lie. Because there are billions of people that think they are saved, that don’t have a clue about the indwelling of the Holy Spirit for Life that is eternal. And most people have no clue what salvation even is. Most think it is getting your sins forgiven. They believe the lie that has been taught by ALL mainline denominations, come to Jesus to get your sins forgiven. News alert. Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. And Jesus is never going to go to a cross ever again. Your sins, the world’s sins, were forgiven at the cross, so that anyone who exerscises Faith in the Truth of that, receives the gift of the Holy Spirit for Life. A person who has the Spirit of God has Life. A person who does not have the Spirit of God does NOT have life. It’s a life and death issue today.

So if someone is teaching that you must be baptised by water, then that is a red flag. You can bet that they do not understand the Truth of the gospel themselves. Don’t let yourself be deceived by this. Stand boldly and proclaim the Truth of the Gospel itself. For those that have the Holy Spirit in them, He will guide you in ALL TRUTH. Make it crystal clear to people today, the Truth of the Gospel. Be Bold in the Holy Spirit. “that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, NOT counting men’s trespasses (sins) against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.” 2 Corinthians 5:19

Bob George discusses the distinction between water baptism and spiritual baptism, emphasizing that the latter is receiving the Holy Spirit, which is essential for salvation. He clarifies that being born again is an immediate experience, not a gradual process. Bob addresses a caller’s confusion about Acts 2:38 and Acts 8:14, explaining that those baptized in the name of Jesus but not yet receiving the Holy Spirit were likely still under John’s baptism, water baptism. He also refutes the idea of losing salvation, asserting that once saved, always saved, and that salvation is receiving eternal life through the Holy Spirit.

“You can be baptized in the name of Jesus all day long and not know the Lord from an apple tree. And that’s exactly what took place. They did not know the Lord, yet. They had merely been baptized in the name of Jesus, just like 1000s of people in this day and age are baptized. I was baptized three times in the name of Jesus and didn’t know him from an apple tree. So that is just that has nothing to do with salvation. Baptism has nothing to do with salvation. They what they do, they put their hands on them, and they receive the Holy Spirit. That’s salvation. Baptism had nothing to do with it. Okay? It’s the same thing over in chapter 19. The same thing. What I agree with that. Okay, so that’s all that is. Baptism can’t save you. It’s only the baptism, only the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Keep reading that, brother. We got to go on, but I appreciate your call, and don’t hesitate to call again. Okay, thank you.
