No One Obeys The Law and the 10 Commandments
~ Romans 3:19:26
~ Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those under the Law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be under judgment to God. Therefore by works of the Law, not any flesh will be justified before Him; for through the Law is knowledge of sin.
Righteousness through Faith
But now apart from Law, the righteousness of God has been revealed, being borne witness to by the Law and the Prophets. And the righteousness of God is through faith from Jesus Christ toward all those believing. For there is no distinction, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood, for a showing forth of His righteousness, because of the forbearance of the sins having taken place beforehand, in the forbearance of God, for the showing forth of His righteousness in the present time, for Him to be just, and justifying the one of the faith of Jesus.”
~ Sometimes you have to plainly tell it like it is to the hypocrites, the actors and pretenders of their lie of thinking they keep the 10 commandments. We can all relate to people that think they are righteous in the sight of God based on their performance of law keeping. The holier than thou people. Yet it says no one obeys the law, and if a person stumbles in one area of their life, from a baby age to death, then they have broken the entire law. And these people are promoting the law of law keeping as though God is judging a person based on how well one keeps the law. Folks, News alert, God does NOT grade on the curve. We all have failed at law keeping. The person that is saying they are a law keeper is lying to themselves and others. And God is not a respector of persons. Acts 10:34 He doesn’t show favoritism to one person over another. He doesn’t judge Johnny based on how many of the laws that Johnny THINKS he has kept. For the law silences every person. For, we are all born dead without the Spirit of God living in us, and we all need the same Life of Christ living in us. It is His life coming to live in us when we come to Him by faith that then makes us declared righteous in His sight. For God looks at the TRUE believer in Christ as a son of God, perfect in His sight. We are perfect in God’s sight for all who are in Christ Jesus because He made us that way. It is not dependent on how many laws a person thinks they obey. It’s based on God’s Spirit giving eternal life the very moment a person places trust in Jesus. When a person has the Spirit of God living in them, they are declared righteous in the sight of God by God Himself.
So if you haven’t placed trust in Jesus today, that is simple to do. Agree with God that He took away all your sins at the cross, and is no longer counting any of them against you, and receive His Spirit for Life today. He will come to live in you forever, and never leave you nor forsake you no matter what.
Hebrews 9:15-22
~ “Therefore Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, now that He has died to redeem them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.
In the case of a will, it is necessary to establish the death of the one who made it, because a will does not take effect until the one who made it has died; it cannot be executed while he is still alive.
That is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood. For when Moses had proclaimed every commandment of the law to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats,i along with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people, saying, “This is the blood of the covenant, which God has commanded you to keep.”
In the same way, he sprinkled with blood the tabernacle and all the vessels used in worship. According to the law, in fact, nearly everything must be purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

John 6:28,29
28 Therefore they said to Him, “What must we do, that we may be doing the works of God?”
29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you should believe in Him whom He has sent.”

Bob George discusses the role of the Old Testament and the law in leading people to Christ. He explains that the Old Testament is a record of man’s failure and God’s faithfulness, emphasizing that the law was intended to show sinfulness and lead to Christ. Bob clarifies that Old Testament believers were saved by faith in what was revealed to them, while New Testament believers experience salvation through Christ. He also addresses the misconception that salvation is by works, stressing that it is by faith in Christ alone. The Holy Spirit’s role is to convict of sin, unbelief in Jesus, leading to salvation.

“Well, Joseph, yes, the law, it says that it’s through the law that we become conscious of sin. There, there no one will be declared righteous in His sight by observing the law. But rather, it’s through the law that we become conscious of sin. So what is the purpose of the law? Well, it says that we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth would be silence and the whole world held accountable to God, in other words, to shut our mouths, because if you’re under the law, no one has ever obeyed the law. And James says, if we’ve kept the whole law and just disobeyed at one point, we violated all of it. So there’s no man that’s going to stand in the righteousness of their of God under the law. And the law wasn’t made for the righteous, for people who are in Christ, Jesus, but for the unrighteous, is the law breakers. And so it tells about the fact that what is the purpose of the law? It was added because of our sins, until, and when you see an until, that’s a before and after. So the law was added until the seed to whom the promised referred had come, and that seat is Jesus. So the law was added because of our sins until Jesus came, but the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised being given through faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. Now before this faith came, this faith in Jesus, we were held and are held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the law we’re told, was put in charge to lead us to Christ. How come? So that we might be justified by faith. Why do we need to be justified by faith? Because in Christ or in under the law, no man it will ever be declared justified. Know that a man is not justified Galatians, 216 by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we too have put our faith in Christ, Jesus that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law. Why? Because by observing the law, no one will be justified. Galatians, 3:11, clearly, no one is justified before God by the law. The righteous will live by faith. So the law was there to show us our need for Christ.
But there’s something that the law basically has been replaced by, and that’s the Spirit of God. And Jesus said that when the Holy Spirit comes, it’s good for you that I’m going away for when I do, I’m going to send the Holy Spirit to you, and when the Holy Spirit comes, he’s going to do three things. He’s going to convict the world wrong about sin. Now the 10 Commandments convicts you about sins and shows you that what you’re doing is sin and that you will not be declared righteous in the sight of God through the law. But the Holy Spirit says that I will convince the world wrong about sin, righteousness and judgment about sin because they don’t believe in me. And so Jesus said, the world’s sin is unbelief in me. The law shows you sins as to what not to do. But the Holy Spirit gets underneath the skin and says, the root problem of all sin is you do not believe in Jesus. So the Holy Spirit’s work today is to do the convicting of a person that gets underneath the skin and says, Do you believe in Jesus? The law could not do its work. The law couldn’t do that. The law could only tell you on the exterior what not to do. But people didn’t pay any attention to that, and because they didn’t pay any attention to that, it really didn’t do its work. It was intended to show people their sinfulness in order to lead them to Christ. But many times, people said, I’m not that bad. And so Jesus came and said, I’m going to send my Spirit now, and the Spirit of God is going to show you what real sin is, and the root of sin, and that is unbelief in me. And so there’s a sense in which the law is still used by God. But more important than that is the Holy Spirit of God that Jesus said, I will send to all men to convince them wrong about sin. We think sin is a nasty nine and the Dirty Dozen. But he said, I going to show you that the root of that sin is unbelief in me. So if all you’re dealing with is the fruit, it isn’t going to accomplish anything. But when you get underneath the skin to the root and realize that, in essence, it makes no difference what you’re doing up here. The issue is you’re not believing in Jesus. You think you could live a perfect life of those obeying all the 10 Commandments, but if you haven’t believed in Jesus, you’re just as lost as you can be. And so basically, that’s the work of the Holy Spirit today. Do you need the law to convince people wrong about sins? No, you don’t. Do you need the Holy Spirit to convince a man about his sin? Absolutely. And that’s the sin of the rejection of Jesus. That’s why the gospel presentation doesn’t mentioned the law, the Gospel mentions the fact that Jesus, and have you come to Jesus by faith.
Now, in that passage, it also says that I will convince the world wrong about sin, about sin because you don’t believe in me, and about righteousness, because I go to the Father, where you’ll see me no more. What in the world does that mean? Because again, you’re dealing in two things. You’re dealing in sin that had to be forgiven, and you’re dealing in righteousness that had to be imputed. Just because you got your sins forgiven doesn’t make you righteous. It just means you are a forgiven corpse. You are forgiven lost person. Now that lost person needs to be declared, be declared righteous in the sight of God. And how is that going to occur, apart from Jesus making you righteous? So he said about righteousness, because I go to the Father, will you see me no more again? What does that mean? You in Me, you have seen righteousness. You’re not going to see righteousness anyplace else except in me. And once you have seen righteousness in me, I’m going to the Father where you’re going to see me no more. Now you know what righteousness is in my in Jesus, and in so doing, you see your unrighteousness. Now you’re prepared for salvation, in other words, and once, I see myself as unrighteous, not just needing of forgiveness, but I see that hold on the root of what God is saying is I need to believe in Jesus, and when I do, then I’ve put my faith in the righteous One, recognizing that I am not righteous, but he is. And so then he says, and about judgment, because I have the prince of this world has already been judged. And so he deals in that passage with the work of the Spirit, as to get under the skin and show me the root of my sin, which is unbelief in Jesus, to show me what righteousness is. And it’s not me, it’s him. And therefore I need to be, I need to be imputed His righteousness, which is what he did, does and did. When we came to Christ, we were given the righteousness of God in Him, that it is because of God that we are in Christ, Jesus, who has become for us our righteousness. And so Bob, I hope that helps it. Lot of times, people go out and beat people to death with the with the law. I don’t think that is necessary, because I think in the final analysis, if Jesus says the world sin, singular, is unbelief in me, then all you have to do is to present what belief in Christ Jesus means. None of us entered into this world as a believer in Jesus. I’ve laughingly said, Nobody came out of their mother’s womb saying praise Jesus. So we’re not born alive spiritually, we’re born dead. And what we have to be told is not so much that we’re a sinner, because that’s already been taken care of, but that there is a consequence to sin called death, and that can only be taken care of by the resurrected life of Christ, Jesus. And so I think Bob many times in the usage of the law that we’re again emphasizing and concentrating too much on the sin issue, instead of the wages of sin, which is death issue and and I believe that what happens when we do that, we do convince people, yeah, I’m a sinner. But again, that’s not the issue. According to Jesus, the world’s sin is not the nasty nine, the terrible 12, the world’s sin is unbelief in Jesus. The sins of the world have been taken care of. They’ve been judged. They were judged at the cross. The verdict was guilty. The punishment was death. And Jesus stepped in between the wrath of God and ourselves and said, I’ll take it for them, but all of us are still under the death penalty, because we were born dead. And when you’re dead, you need life, and the only life available to us is the resurrected life of Christ, Jesus.” ~ Bob George
