Church is NOT a Building on The Corner of Walk and Don’t Walk

~ “Now you are the body of Christ, and each of you is a member of it.” 1 Corinthians 12:27

– It’s interesting to note, how many people talk about “going to church,” even within the group of believers. It’s as though we have this guilty feeling if we don’t go someplace on Sunday in what we think is worshipping God. And the evil one has got us so brainwashed into thinking that we have to do something for God to appreciate us, that we have forgotten the Truth of the word of God. Folks, we who are in Christ Jesus are the church of Jesus. No one “goes to church” today, because if you are in Christ Jesus you are the church. That’s the beginning point of understanding. Now, having fellowship with like minded believers is definitely something to consider, especially in these days where everything is so strange and everyone is so deceived. So how do we find a group of like minded believers? Ask God to place you in fellowship with one or two people. And if God wants you to become a teacher of TRUTH, become of teacher of Truth. If God wants you to start a Bible study, start a Bible study. If God wants you to listen to the messages of TRUTH, listen to the messages of TRUTH. If God wants you to share TRUTH, share Truth. But in ALL things, give thanks and pray for wisdom and understanding in all that you do. Rest in Him, moment by moment to show you TRUTH.

“Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.” Romans 12:1

Bob George discusses the challenges of finding a true Christian denomination, emphasizing the importance of the Holy Spirit’s guidance in understanding the Bible. He recommended a Church in Detroit for its solid teaching with a pastor who had gone to one of the Classic Christianity Conferences. Glenn shares his frustration with churches that teach errors, such as the necessity of speaking in tongues or the loss of salvation due to sin. Bob advises Glenn to seek like-minded believers and to rely on the Holy Spirit for truth. Bernard praises Bob’s ministry for freeing him from Pentecostal errors. Bob clarifies that deacons do not need to be married and explains the difference between the Old and New Covenants regarding forgiveness.

“Well, for sure, for sure, brother, you haven’t attended them lately. You’ve kind of been on a pathway to destruction there. Glenn, we know in Detroit, where we were, where we just did our seminar there, and that’s called Kensington. We know that the pastor there has a good grasp on the totality of the grace of God, and I think teaches a very, very solid message beyond that. I do not know, because we don’t have that kind of exposure. But on the other hand, and I say this with all sincerity, that if I had to go listen to what you’re talking about. I would stay home and read my Bible, be and I’d turn on the turn on or the Sunday morning service that you can pull up on your real answers.net. And catch our service on Sunday morning and see if we teach the truth. See if you got any problem there. But I would do that, rather than for a period of time, until I could really find a church that taught truth, rather than continually being exposed to that which really pulls you down, it discourages you and but the main thing is that regardless of where You decide to plant your body on Sunday morning, if you do not, as a child of God, yield to the Spirit of God who lives in you, and approach the Word of God with an open heart that says, Lord Jesus, if you do not teach me what this means, because everybody knows what it says. A computer knows what it says. All you have to know. All you have to do to know what it says is read it, but to know what it means, you’ve said that it takes the Spirit of God, who lives in us, to reveal that to us. In other words, it isn’t something that we can do by studying Greek or Hebrew or anything else, the meaning has to be revealed to us and and so I’m not going to approach this word with a bias. I’m going to approach it with the total understanding that you live in me and that you have committed yourself to teach me the truth and let that truth set me free. That’s that is God has committed that to you, Glenn, and he’s committed that to me, and he’s committed. That to every born again believer who is on the face of the earth, that if you will allow me, I will be your teacher, and I will teach you the meaning of the word of God. Why do we have all these variations in denominations? Is because people are leaning on their own understanding, not acknowledging him in all their ways and letting him direct their paths. They’re on their own. They’re trying to learn it by their own. Or they’ve approached the Word of God similar to the way I would approach a novel. This isn’t true, it’s just fairy tales, but I’ll go get something out of it. There’s some nice, sweet little stories that’ll tickle your your fantasy for a period of time. So I’ll read those because they are nice to read on Sunday morning. And there’s many people who approach the Word of God with that concept in their mind, this is not a true book. If you do, you’re never going to get truth out of it, because, number one, God isn’t going to reveal it to you, and so you’re never going to get truth out of it. The Word of God is inerrant Glen, and what I mean by that is the original manuscripts that were penned by God’s apostles and amanuensis of the apostles was penned by those men led by the Holy Spirit of God, who told them every word to put down, just like when Jesus was here on earth. He said, There I do nothing and I say nothing unless the Father tells me to say it and tells me to do it, tells me how to do it, tells me how to say it. I live in total dependency on the Father. And those men who penned the New Testament were in that kind of a position where God was available to reveal to them what he wanted them to write. So those manuscripts are inerrant. A translation is not inerrant. Glenn, a translation is a translation, but the original documents that were copied so carefully. Glenn, if you ever got a chance to study what how the people copied those original manuscripts that if they made one mistake, one letter, they’d have to go back and start all over again. It was the tenacity of those men doing that was was unreal, probably unequal by anything that’s ever been done. So we know that those original manuscripts are absolutely inerrant, but the translations are not there can be mistakes in translation, but they’re not big. They’re not big mistakes. You know, if there were, you couldn’t get a you’d never know unless you understood Greek and Hebrew what the original manuscripts were saying. But what I’m saying is you have the ability Glen given by God, to understand the meaning of the word of God. That’s who you want to depend on, not a pastor, not me, but the but yourself, to glance on you and the Holy Spirit and depend totally on you and the Holy Spirit revealing to you what this book means. And therefore, as you’re doing, you when you go in and hear error, you’re going to hear it, you’re going to deny it, and you’re going to walk away from it. That’s what you’ve been doing. So that’s a good sign. But if you, if you can’t find a place, sit at home, turn on the turn on your computer, turn the real answers dot net on Sunday morning and join us.” – Bob George
