The Courtroom of TRUTH: The Complete Scriptural Blueprint of the Covenants, the Hilasmos, and the Sabbath Rest

The Epistle to the Hebrews: New Covenant Courtroom Warnings

Hebrews 10:26 — “For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins…” The legal core of the entire study. Rather than representing a standard horizontal slip of the weak clay, “sinning willfully” is the singular, prideful, and definitive legal choice to reject the indwelling Spirit of Jesus after being shown the un-scrambled Truth. By rejecting this completed finality, the soul discards the only courtroom currency recognized by Heaven, leaving itself with zero legal remedy.
Hebrews 6:4–6 — “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted… If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance…” The falling away paradox. This passage exposes the legal impossibility of renewing someone “again” to a state of repentance (metanoia) that they never actually possessed to begin with. They merely “tasted” the Word through natural, horizontal intellectual agreement without fully “drinking” and allowing the Holy Spirit to occupy and seal their vessel.
Hebrews 6:7–8 — “For the earth which drinketh in the rain… bringeth forth herbs… but that which beareth thorns and thistles is rejected…” The agricultural sifting. The “rain” is the global, unmerited Hilasmos poured out universally upon all Adamic clay. Pathway A (the occupied, vacuum-locked vessel) drinks the rain to produce a useful crop of vertical dependency. Pathway B (the un-indwelt vessel) receives the same rain but defiantly produces the “thorns” of self-will, legalistic pride, and repeating sacrificial dead works.
Hebrews 4:9–11 — “There remaineth therefore a Sabbath rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works… Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest…” The True Sabbath. This defines the ultimate rest as the absolute, permanent cessation of your own self-cleansing works. The Socratic paradox of “laboring” to rest reveals that our greatest effort must be spent actively and aggressively resisting the Adamic temptation to run back to our own works-based performance.
Hebrews 12:1 — “…let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us…” The Greek word euperistatos means “skilfully surrounding”. The singular “sin” that entangles the seeker is not a moral slip, but the highly sophisticated default of human self-preservation—which is active unbelief in the finished work of the Cross.
Hebrews 12:16–17 — “…Esau… for one morsel of meat sold his birthright… when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.” The prototype of worldly sorrow. Esau wept bitter, dramatic, horizontal tears, yet the Court of Heaven declared he had zero metanoia. He was not grieving his rebellion against the Father’s design; he was strictly grieving his ruined horizontal circumstances and loss of inheritance.

Hebrew Scriptures: Old Testament Socratic & Covenant Blueprints

Genesis 2:7 — “…formed man of the dust of the ground…” The physical-legal signature of the Creator. This is the earliest anchor of our physical hardware. Because Adam’s clay was carved from the soil, the resident and the estate are legally and forensically bound in the exact same contract—meaning the Goel must physically reclaim both touchable human flesh (basar) and the literal, physical soil of the Earth.
Psalm 51:16–17 — “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart…” The true altar of brokenness. Rather than a looping, emotional performance of worldly self-deprecation, a broken heart is a heart whose independent self-will has been utterly smashed. It is the quiet, absolute end of self-trust where the vessel finally surrenders to the Father’s shepherding.
Numbers 21:8–9 — “Make a bronze snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.” The vertical remedy. The dying Hebrews did not live by trying to extract the poison themselves, by weeping over their bites, or by performing horizontal rituals. They lived strictly by looking outward and upward to the bronze snake in simple, uncoerced faith—the exact blueprint of how we must look strictly to the Cross of our Goel.
Isaiah 35:5–7 & Luke 4:18–22 — “…the eyes of the blind shall be opened… recovering of sight to the blind…” The prophetic blueprint of the Goel’s office. This is the physical-legal declaration that the Messiah is sent to physically and spiritually reverse the Double Forfeiture of Eden.
Ezekiel 33:11 — “…As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live…” The longsuffering heart of the Father. Proof that the Creator does not sit as a cold, detached judge waiting for a legal excuse to condemn the clay. He holds the door of the geocentric sanctuary open until the absolute final microsecond.

New Covenant Courtroom Demarcations

2 Corinthians 5:19 — “…God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them.” The global Hilasmos. This marks the mathematical, objective liquidation of the legal sin-debt of the entire Adamic line. Sins are no longer actionable evidence in the Court of Heaven; the debtor’s ledger is permanently closed.
2 Corinthians 7:10 — “For godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation without regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.” The ultimate Socratic sifting of grief. Godly sorrow is a temporary vertical catalyst designed to drive the soul to metanoia and then immediately dissolve “without regret”. Worldly sorrow is the circular, self-flagellating loop of emotional penance (weekly begging, “confession soap”) where the ego tries to use its feelings as currency to buy back favor, which ultimately “brings death”.
John 8:21, 24 — “…you will die in your sin… unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” The dual ledger of judgment. Dying in your “sin” (singular) is the root choice of unbelief—refusing the indwelling Spirit of Life. Dying in your “sins” (plural) represents the behavioral, hostile actions that erupt from that singular root.
John 9:39, 41 — “…for judgment I am come into this world… If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin. But since you claim you can see, your guilt remains.” The verdict on willful unbelief. Those who possess the scriptures and natural facts, yet stubbornly defend their own theological “sight” while denying the un-inverted Truth, legally seal their own default. Their guilt remains permanently caked-on like dry mud.
John 12:32 — “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” The uncoerced Socratic drawing. The Goel projects His vertical frequency across the entire plane, removing every roadblock to draw all men, but this draw is never a coercive drag. The Gift of Life must be freely and uncoercedly accepted by individual free will.

Hi, I had a question. I’m actually asking for my husband. We’ve both been very legalistic in the past, and we’re just now learning about grace. And we’re reading your book, Classic Christianity, and finding that a real blessing.

Well, good.

The Lord brought me to the conclusion that I can’t lose my salvation, which is wonderful. Makes a lot things make more sense that way. But my husband said he’s confused and he wondered if I would ask you what the passage in Hebrews six four to six means. He especially wonders about becoming partakers of the Holy Spirit.

Yes, That passage Holly is talking to again. The book of Hebrews is basically pointed toward the Hebrew people. They had people like today who are professors of Christ but not yet possessors of Christ. These were people who were giving lip service to something, but in their hearts there had never been repentance take place, never been a change of mind, and so you would have had people who would have given a lip service and said, “Well, I believe in Jesus, but a lot of it was looking for him as the political Messiah, or I believe Jesus died for my sins, but I’m going back to the sacrificial system. Or I believe that Jesus was the political Messiah, but I don’t think he had anything to do with this forgiveness bit. They still have to go back and go to the temple to get that done. Well, you got a half Jesus, don’t you? And so you had people in all kinds of places in their understanding of this Jesus of Nazareth. But the proof of the pudding was in the fact that they were saying Jesus died for my sins, but I’m going back to the sacrificial system. So it’d be like saying to somebody, “Where are you going? Well, I’m going back to Jerusalem. What for? Well, I’m going to go to the Day of Atonement. Well, what for? Well, to get my sins forgiven. Well, I thought you said Jesus died for all your sins. Well, I do. Well, where are you going? Back to Jerusalem. What for? Get my sins forgiven. What? I thought you said Jesus died for all your sins. Well, yeah, I do, but I’m going back to Jerusalem, go the Day of Atonement, get my sins forgiven. Well, you see, that person has tasted; he’s he’s he’s understood something, but he’s never repented. He’s never changed his mind that Jesus is the final sacrifice for sins, which is covered in more detail in chapter 10, right after it announces the New Covenant that we’re in today, whereby your sins and lawless acts I will remember no more, and where these have been forgiven, there’s no longer any sacrifice for sins. So these are people who have been enlightened.

Judas was enlightened, tasted the heavenly gift. Judas had tasted it, never swallowed it, but tasted it. Shared in the Holy Spirit, never been indwelt by Him, but shared in in the things of the Holy Spirit. Certainly saw the evidence of the Holy Spirit, didn’t he? Tasted the goodness of the word of God. Certainly had done that, and the powers of this coming age, if they fall away to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace. Now, what does that mean? They are denying the finality of his cross. That’s what people-that’s what people teaching that you can lose salvation are doing. You’re denying the finality of Jesus’ cross. Now, and the reason that you cannot be brought back to repentance is because you’ve never repented to begin with. You’ve never changed your mind, so you can’t be you can’t come back from where you haven’t been.

Oh, okay.

You see, so so the reason so people will use that. People who teach that you can lose salvation, they love this verse and they teach it as boy, you’re going to fall away, and when you do, it’s too late. You can never be brought back to repentance. Well, the reason you couldn’t be brought back to repentance, you never repented to begin with, and as long as you’re saying there’s some other way of getting your sins forgiven except Jesus, Why what are you doing? Well, you’re crucifying him all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace because if there is any further forgiveness to be executed on your and my behalf, when without the shedding of blood there’s no forgiveness, what would Jesus have to do? He’d have to die again, wouldn’t he?

Yeah.

In other words, if without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness, if there was any further forgiveness to be executed on your behalf by God, what would He have to do?

Oh, He’d have to bleed.

Bob George 6:06
He’d have to die again, yeah. So is He going to do that? Why, of course not. So unless we accept the finality of the time He did, and if we think there’s more forgiveness, well, we’re going to have to crucify Him again, because without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.

That makes sense.

Bob George 6:26
Yeah. Now in Hebrews 10, 10:26, right after it is where in those verses or in those chapters you’re dealing with the New Covenant and the fact that it’s over. There’s sins and lawless acts. I remember no more where these have been forgiven, there’s no longer any sacrifice. If you’re not going to trust the sacrifice of Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, there is no more sacrifice. That’s it. See, and it says, therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the most holy place, now you and I can go into the holy of holies today as a HEBREW or a Gentile, by the blood of Jesus, it’s called by a new and living way, not the old way, whereby only the high priest could get in, but a new way where everyone has access to God, opened up for us through the curtain that is His body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and in full assurance of faith. You see, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience, having our bodies washed with pure water, let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess. How come? Because He who promised is faithful, not us, but Him. And let us consider how may we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let’s not give up the meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the day approaching. Now look at this. If we keep on sinning, now what is sin? That which is not of faith is sin. So what is sin? Unbelief. So if we keep on in our unbelief about the finality of that cross, after we receive the knowledge of truth about the finality of the cross, it says there’s no sacrifice for sins left. If you’re not going to trust Jesus for what he did, all you have to look forward to, it says, is a fearful expectation of the judgment and the raging fire that’ll consume the enemies of God.

You see, anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two Moses. How much more severely do you think a man deserves, and so it deserves, to be punished. Who has done what? Trampled the Son of God under foot, treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the spirit of grace? Now, how insulting the spirit of grace, treating as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant by denying that his sacrifice was final? What we have been doing in Catholicism and Protestantism with equal vigor, instead of spending our lives thanking the Lord Jesus for the total forgiveness that was provided, we’re still asking Him to do what He died to do, and in so doing, making a mockery of his cross. Does that help?
