Jesus Did NOT Atone for Sin, He Took it Away

~ Behold the Lamb of God Who Took Away the Sins of the World
Jesus did not come to Atone for Sin, He came to take away the sins of the world. The word is propitiation, NOT atonement for What Jesus did at the cross. “And He is the propitiation for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for those of the whole world.” 1 John 2:2 Yet many modern translations replace that word and place atonement there. Why do they do it? Because it is intentional and meant to deceive people. Satan’s transformed ministers what people to merge the two together (ongoing forgiveness). Atonement was old covenant, of what bulls and goats did, by covering sin. It is like a scab, that continues to fester under the skin. Think throughout all the years of sacrifices in the Temple of how much blood was done year after year and day after day, imagine how big the scab was! And when the Temple was destroyed, around 70 AD, all of that was done away with. Though it was Jesus who took away the Sins of the world, and there was no more need for sacrifices under the old covenant. So God allowed the temple to be destroyed.

And folks, the reason Satan wants us to continue on believing the lie that more forgiveness is required by God, is because he doesn’t what you to know that it is Finished! You can either continue believing satan’s lie of ongoing forgiveness, or walk in Faith, with TRUTH. And make no mistake about it, Satan did it to deceive people into believing the lies. Everyone is given a decision today. Believe the lies, and remain dead, or place faith in TRUTH and receive Eternal Life the very moment you exercise Faith in TRUTH.

Bob George addressed questions from listeners on various biblical topics. He clarified that love, as defined in 1 Corinthians 13, means that prophecies and knowledge will cease, as all necessary prophecies are contained in the Bible. He emphasized that true biblical tongues were for communicating in known languages, and that the perfection in Christ renders prophecies and tongues unnecessary. Bob also discussed the distinction between atonement (Old Testament) and redemption (New Testament), explaining that Christ took away sins, not just covered them. He reiterated that women should not be pastors due to biblical leadership roles.

“No, Christ didn’t come to atone for your sins. Michael, the word atonement is not used in the New Covenant. Atonement is what covered sins with a bull, with the blood of a bull and goat. I think the Christian world does a huge disgrace by talking about the atonement of the blood of Christ, because he didn’t come to atone for sin. He came to take it away. The blood of a bull and goat covered sin, but as it says in Hebrews, the blood of bulls and goats could never take away sin, only Christ could do that. That’s not atonement, that’s not covering your sin, that’s taking it away. And so Christ didn’t come to atone for sin, He came to take it away. And so redemption, on the other hand, if I don’t know how old you are, but you remember the old redemption centers, remember green stamps and all that stuff, yeah, well, you remember you went to a redemption center and turned in some old, lousy green stamps that you had been saving and got a toaster. Well, that’s what redemption is. He bought us back. We turned we gave him all that we were a human green stamp, worthless in essence, and he gave us himself, and he, he bought us out of our state of lostness, and so that’s in order to do that, why he had to take away the sins of the entire world from the eyes of God.” – Bob George
