When You Are Born Again of God, You Are Placed in Fellowship With God

~ “We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And this fellowship of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1:3

When a person has the Spirit of God living in them, they are thus born of the Spirit of God, and are in the fellowship, saved. They can never be kicked out of the fellowship. And when other True born again people of God are together with one another, they are ALL in the same fellowship with Jesus and the Father through the Spirit of God. And the Spirit of God points the truth of this out to every believer.

Now if a person is not abiding by that, there is a good chance that they do not have the Spirit of God living in them, for they would understand the very basic truth of this, once shown in the word of God. For the Spirit of God would be talking with our spirit and confirming TRUTH. Now, can a believer be ignorant of TRUTH, and not understand? Sure they can. But the Spirit of God will not leave them there. He will be constantly renewing a person’s mind with TRUTH.

And folks, there is more TRUTH than meets the eye, and more Lies than people imagine. And thus it is important to go directly to God for All TRUTH and ask for wisdom directly from God, for only God is the source of Wisdom, not the world. For example, what if you discovered that what you have been taught by Man and demons is a lie? Would you allow the Holy Spirit to direct ALL your paths, or would you lean on your own understanding of things? And don’t assume that someone has the TRUTH of God and satan’s Lies ALL figured out. Don’t place your faith in what a Man says. And certainly stop putting faith in what is seen on Tell-a-Vision, but in Everything go to God in prayer and ask for wisdom and understanding. For God will give you wisdom and understanding with great abundance if you ask Him to.

Bob George discusses the concept of fellowship with God, emphasizing that it means being indwelt by the Holy Spirit and baptized into the body of Christ. He clarifies that 1 John 1:8-9 addresses Gnosticism, correcting the belief that Jesus did not come in the flesh and denying the sin nature. Bob explains that true believers have the Holy Spirit and are always in fellowship with God, while Gnostics claim to be without sin and deceive themselves. He also addresses the baptism of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, which brought salvation and the indwelling of resurrected life. Bob encourages listeners to maintain faith through the Holy Spirit and study of the Word of God.

“Well, in the scripture where you’re dealing with fellowship, Brent, there’s only two things. You’re either in the fellowship, saved or out of the fellowship, lost. It says in the scripture, you’ve been called into fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ. That doesn’t have anything to do with getting along with each other. It means you are in the fellowship. When you are born again. The Spirit comes to indwell you immediately baptizes you into the body of Christ, and you become a part of the fellowship of God. But first John one, eight and nine, that we’ve banged around for a long time, but to me today, is so obvious what it means that I have difficulty understanding how I ever thought otherwise, but I did, so that’s why, I guess I have great understanding with people. But first, John eight and nine is dealing to correct Gnosticism. It’s not talking to the saved. It’s talking to the lost. Okay, that a Gnostic was lost. He’s called an anti-christ. It’s little difficult to call somebody a Christian, anti-Christ. And so the heresy of the Gnostic doctrine was, first and foremost, that Jesus did not come in the flesh, because flesh is matter and matter is evil, and he couldn’t be evil, so therefore he was an illusion. Now that’s why, First John starts out that that which we have seen with our eyes and heard with our ears and touched with our hands, this we proclaim concerning the Word of Life. We’ve seen him. He’s appeared. Why did he say that? Didn’t he say that for you and me? We never doubted that he did, but that was to correct the Gnostic heresy that was penetrated into the assemblies of children of God. The second part of their heresy was ties into the first and that is that I don’t have a sin nature. And again, the reasoning behind that is, what would it matter if I did? It’s evil. Didn’t go into heaven. Doesn’t make any difference anyway, the only thing that is important is spirit. And so you’re denying, you’re denying the existence of flesh. You’d be denying, as an example, that the existence of your yucky flesh that you have on you doesn’t make any difference anyway. Now to that, he said, If you we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Now, Brett, one way, if you’re having trouble with that, I can get you out of that trouble immediately, if you just, if you just hang there with me. One way that you know that that’s talking to unbelievers is that statement, if we claim to, if we, if we claim to have fellowship with Him, and yet walk in darkness, we do not live by truth, or that we are not in truth. Now over in Second John, it it says to the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in the truth, and not only I, but also all who know the truth because of the truth which lives in us and will be with us for ever. So we’re told something about Truth Number one, it’s referring to Jesus. Jesus is truth. He lives in us and he lives in us forever. So if Jesus is in us and lives in us forever, then how could we say in verse John one eight, that we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourself, and the truth is not in us. If the truth isn’t in you, it never has been, because it just got through saying that if it’s there, it’ll never leave you. So you don’t have to wonder who you’re talking about. You’re talking to a lost Gnostic that later on in the book is identified as an anti-christ.” – Bob George
