Classic Christianity – The Premise for Predestination – Part 2 – 8-19-25
The Premise for Predestination – Part 2 – 8-19-25
~ The sin of the world that needs to be repented of is Unbelief in Jesus. And that is the only sin that can surely be repented of. What does repenting mean? It means to change your mind and start doing something differently. In this case, it requires changing our mind on who do Jesus is, God in the flesh, and what He did on the cross, taking upon Himself the sins of the whole world, taking them away from the eyes of God, and is no longer counting individual sins against anyone, and that includes you. And an understanding that we cannot be perfect in the eyes of God based on what we do or what we don’t do, but only through Faith in Jesus. And only perfection will do. Being perfect in Jesus is when He comes to live in us, and brings His perfection to live in us, regardless of how we act, or what we do from that point forward. Because once the Holy Spirit lives in you, you cannot kick out the Spirit of God no matter what. We are saved by the Life of Jesus coming to live in us, NOT by his death.
“For if, when we were enemies of God, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!” Romans 5:10

Does TRUTH matter? You bet it does. ALL TRUTH matters.
…..
And a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher, having done what, will I inherit eternal life?”
And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good, except God alone.
~ “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:12
~ Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; the one believing in Me, even if he should die, he will live. And everyone living and believing in Me shall never die, to the age. Do you believe this?” John 11:25,26

Pray to God:
Do you really want to know the WHOLE Truth of what is going on today?
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7
Lord Jesus, teach me the truth of the world today and give me the wisdom to know the truth and identify the lies of the devil. Thank you God.”

~ “So by not going to the fullness of the gospel, ignoring passages in Romans as an example, that says while we were yet enemies. That means lost. While, we were lost we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, not will be. Didn’t say we will be. He said, You were reconciled. That’s past tense. That’s done, that’s over. It’s finished. How much more having been reconciled? Shall you be saved by his what? Life. Jesus said, I came that you might have what? Life. He said, I am the way and the truth and the what? Life. He who has the Son has what? Life. He who does not have the Son does not have what? Life. The whole issue of salvation is bringing the dead alive. Forgiveness does not provide life for the dead. Forgiveness at the cross was what cleared the deck for the divine action of bringing resurrection to people. It’s a preparation. And I say that a fact that we ignore many times, and I didn’t even recognize it until maybe a year ago. But Jesus died on the Hebrew holiday of the day of preparation. Think that’s accidental? No, it’s not accidental. That’s what the cross was. Was preparation, the day of preparation. Preparation for what? Salvation that was going to occur three days later. Now, you could not have one without the other, but do not mistake one for the other. In order to have eternal life, you had to put your faith in the eternal consequence of the cross, because if Jesus forgot one and gave you life, and you committed that one what would happen to you if the wages of sin is what? Death. What would happen to you? Die, die.
And so for people who claim another denominational group that you can lose your salvation is denying the cross. That’s all it is. It’s just saying. Jesus lied when he said it’s finished. Jesus lied when he said it’s complete. Because if you do not believe in the completeness of the cross, why then you could lose your salvation because I committed a sin that he didn’t die for. There’s only one sin attributable to man. It’s the sin Jesus says, of unbelieve in me. It’s the rejection of God’s provision for you and me. It’s the only sin attributable.” ~ Bob George

So by not going to the fullness of the gospel, ignoring passages in Romans as an example, that says while we were yet enemies. That means lost. Now, what happened this Reformed theology? Well, they believe that you got your salvation is getting your sins forgiven. So you read the passage that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not counting their sins against them. Now, guys, do you have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that if that is true and you’re saved by getting your sins forgiven, that is universal salvation? Do you have to be a brain scientist to figure that out? That if God was in Christ, reconciling the whole world unto Himself, not counting our sins against them. That’s universal salvation, if salvation is getting your sins forgiven. And yet we have people who say, No, I don’t believe in universal salvation, but God died for our sins past, present and future. Really? Do you really believe that? Well, then why are you bringing people forward to get their sins forgiven? Why are you teaching people that you’re saved by getting your sins forgiven? They don’t make sense, does it? Am I being clear? So they believed, you’re saved by getting your sins forgiven. Well, we can’t have that. We don’t believe in universal salvation. I say, Amen, sure don’t. But you see, instead of recognizing, hold on a minute that’s not salvation, that’s preparatory that’s preparatory, they hung on to save by getting your sins forgiven, and they also hung on to the fact that that’s universal salvation, which can’t be so we had better spin the world. And that’s what they do. They say the Greek doesn’t say the world. It means the elect, that God just died for the elect, that God was in Christ, reconciling some of you unto Christ, not counting your sins against you, and on and on and on. In that philosophy, if you believe that, why? Then you have to eliminate free will, which they also do that you don’t have a will. You. And on and on and on, you have to go spinning the most obvious truths in the Bible. Why? Because they believe, they believed that you’re saved again, your sins forgiven.
Now, guys, I want to ask you a question, and I want you to think, you know God. My dad used to tell me, son, God gave you that head to do more than put a hat on. He gave it to you to think. Why did he say that? Because I was thinking. No, I wasn’t thinking. He said, Think, son, think use your mind. Now we need to use our minds not just sit there and let all this stuff just flow around and wobble around someplace. Let it sink in. Think it through, ponder on it. It’s truth that will set you free. So we sit here and we have to say to ourselves, if that is what’s being taught, do I know how to confront someone that believes it? Do I know how to talk to someone who believes it? Because I want to tell you guys that is big popular theology. So you got that group. Then you got a group that teaches that you can lose your salvation. Then you got a group over there that thinks you got to speak in tongues in order to be saved. Then you got another group that thinks you got to be baptized to be saved. Now is everyone right or is everyone wrong? Or are we just a little confused?
My friends, I want to tell you something. People say to me sometimes, what’s your opinion? I say I don’t have an opinion. When I quote God’s word, I don’t have an opinion. I got an opinion on stuff that I can’t justify. I can have an opinion on stuff that I can’t prove. That’s an opinion, but when I’m talking about God’s word, I don’t have an opinion. When I say you’re saved eternally, that’s not opinion. That’s truth. There’s a difference between truth and an opinion. Do we know how to meet those things? Because guys, we’re going to be confronted with it. And in my opinion, I think we’re winding down. People have thought that for years. I think we’re winding down. And I think we’re coming down to a point of crises. And I want to tell you something guys that even though this group and any other group like it may be a remnant. God has used remnants down through the ages to change the world, remnants who know how to communicate truth to people, and if we don’t know how to communicate it, we need to learn. So the issue is that this issue of predestination was that God chose you as a Gentile, that you were going to be able to be saved the same way that he chose the HEBREW, and that was by faith. Now, guys, what separated the HEBREWS from the Gentile? The HEBREWS had the law. Gentiles didn’t have the law. We stole it. Yeah, that’s how dumb we are. The HEBREWS couldn’t keep it, but we will. Oh, really. And so we have become as legalistic as Gentiles, teachers, as the HEBREWS ever thought of becoming. He didn’t give the law to the Gentiles. He gave the law to the HEBREWS, and that was their identity. We are people of the law. That wasn’t true of the Gentiles. So what did God do? What’d he do at the cross? He nailed the law to the cross.
To the HEBREWS, saying, you may as well forget it. You couldn’t keep it. It’s on the cross. It’s gone. Don’t use it anymore as a means of salvation. It’s gone. It’s nailed the cross. What did that do? It put everyone on the same level, on the same plane level. Now the HEBREW didn’t have the law to brag about. The Gentiles never had the law to brag about. We’re all on equal grounds. And he says, that’s where I want you. I want all of you flat on your face, flat on your HEBREW face, and flat on your Gentile face, until you see that you can’t But I did, and that’s when, when people come to that wonderful understanding of the grace of God that reached down to us, seeing the Gentiles in the pitiful condition we were in, and seeing the HEBREWS in the pitiful, hypocritical condition that they were in, and saying, I’m going to neutralize them, and I’m going to save them. I’m going to offer one Messiah. I’m going to offer One person, and he’s my Son, whose blood is of such value that it is able to take away the sins of the entire world, back to Adam and forward to eternity. I’m going to give them my Son and my Son is going to come and do what they’re incapable of doing. My Son is going to walk on this earth for some 2000 excuse me, for some 30 some years, and he’s going to walk in perfect righteousness. In so doing, he is going to show the people that he’s walking in front of their unrighteousness. He isn’t going to say, Come and be righteous like me, because we can’t. He’s showing them that I have a righteousness that you don’t have and never will. After I have fulfilled the law by walking in perfect love, and love is the fulfillment of the law. I’m going to usher in, going to cancel and usher in a brand new agreement between Man and me, and it’s an agreement of grace. And as we’ve talked before, that agreement is an agreement that has you and me out of the equation. Every other agreement we were in the equation. Here’s the law, you obey it. We couldn’t. Everything he gave to us. We couldn’t and didn’t.

Bob George 14:03
So he said, I’m going to give you a plan that is all me and none of you, and the only thing that I’m going to ask of you is either to believe it by faith or deny it. But there’s nothing else you can do, there’s no works. It is for by grace that you’re saved through faith, not that of yourselves. It’s a gift of God, not as a result of works, so that no man can boast. And I’ve taken you out of the equation, and I’ve said, Here’s your source of salvation to the HEBREW and to the Gentile, believe it and be saved both HEBREW and Gentile. Well, I’ve been so righteous. I’m not talking about your righteousness. It made me sick. I’m talking about. Putting your faith in the righteous one. Your righteousness, up to my Son, is pitiful, so I’m not interested in it. I’m interested in your putting your faith in my righteous one, and that’s my Son did it to both the HEBREW and the Gentile. Unthinkable to the HEBREW, quite frankly, good news to the Gentile. And so this whole book of Ephesians In the first chapters is dealing with that issue of the HEBREWS that were saying these Gentiles can’t be on the same par with us, and the Gentiles saying who they think they are. And the HEBREWS are saying, we’re God’s chosen people. And it says it appeared Gentiles said, it appears to me God made me a son, the same as he did you, and arguing with each other and fighting with each other. Now God is coming in this book to straighten that out and to show us how that God, in His wisdom, came to save both of you, to neutralize you, and to save everyone on the same basis faith in Christ, Jesus, so that there is now no HEBREW or Gentile or slave or free. But I have come to save the world and to make one new man out of the two. Who’s the two? The HEBREW and a Gentile. Who’s the one new man? The Ecclesia called the church to make one new man out of the two.
So he tells us there that having believed that you as a HEBREW and you as a Gentile were marked in him with a seal the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession to the praise of his glory.
Now let’s pick up in verse 15, for this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and your love for all the saints. So once again, Paul expresses it this way, the only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. He’s identifying the two things that God is interested in, faith and love, not interested in all the other stuff that we think is so important. But how you doing in a faith and love department? But ever since I’ve heard of your faith in Jesus, not faith in faith guys, not faith in tradition, there isn’t anything with these people that teach tradition in the Bible. And yet, many times we worship at the feet of our tradition. I have said before guys that any time you add to the Gospel, Jesus said, Paul said that this is the gospel, the death of death of Christ, the burial of Christ and the resurrection of Christ period. That’s the gospel. Anytime you add to that, whatever you add becomes your focus. That’s all you talk about. You add worshiping on Saturday to that, and that’s all you talk about is Saturday worship. You add baptism to that, and that’s all you talk about. And you tell people you can’t be saved unless you’re what? Baptized. It’s not the gospel. You speak in tongues, the only thing, and that’s it. That’s all they talk about. Oh, I’m glad you’re a Christian. Just love you to death, brother. Do you speak in tongues? No. Face changes. Face changes. Why don’t you speak in tongues? Don’t believe in it. Now it really changes. Anything that you add to the death, burial and resurrection, folks, if you hang on to death, burial and resurrection, there isn’t anything to brag about. You didn’t, that’s he not talking about your death or your burial or resurrection, talking about his, but when I add something I can do, climb up in that water and get dunked and I’ve done something, and that’s what I’m going to talk about. I’m going to talk about what Jesus did. I’m going to talk about what I did. I spoke in tongues? Well, big, hairy deal. What if you didn’t have one? What if you didn’t have a tongue? Just how important would any of that be? Guys? Anybody tell me how important that would be if you didn’t have a tongue? How important would that be if you were paralyzed, had Parkinson’s disease and couldn’t speak anything, just how important would that be? And yet, people make it important. Why? Because I’ve done it. I’ve done it.
Guys, that is all tradition stuff that is all taking the Bible out of context, misinterpreting it and making a tradition out of it, keeping short accounts with God. That’s a tradition. There isn’t anything in a Bible about keeping short accounts with God. It’s a tradition. It’s how I keep myself holy. Really? Do you honestly think that you could do something to make yourself holy, to make myself righteous? I say, then you just go stand before God right now with that little thing and see just how well we do with that. Can you imagine any of us standing in the presence of the holy God and saying, God, don’t you see how righteous I am? He said, I’ve looked but no, I don’t. Guys, it’s all him and it’s none of you.
Now he says, I’ve not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord, Jesus, Christ, the glorious Father, may give you a Spirit of wisdom and revelation. No, we’re told in scripture that God, Jesus is our wisdom. And I believe Jesus is our revelation. I think it’s as we continue to get to know Him, that He wants us to know that wisdom and revelation is inside of you. I have given you those things now use them. Guys, how many tools do you have in the garage that have never been used? I’ve got a bunch of them. You know why I don’t use them? I’d tear the house down. I am not handy. I changed a little valve one time and jerked the whole sink right out of the floor, right out of the deal. Now, some people say that smart, because from that day forth, Amy said, Don’t ever do anything again. Hey, that’s good news. But I’m not handy, but I love tools. I really do. I go to Home Depot, and I just, I just lust after these tools. They just, they fascinate me. Don’t know how to use one of them, and if I did, I’d cut my hand off and fingers and everything else. But I love tools. Well, we’re the same way. The thing of it is said, I’ve given you the tools now use them. I say, Well, Lord, I’m clumsy. He said, No, I’ve no, I’ve taken care of that too. On that spiritually, there is no clumsy spiritual person. So the issue is, he’s saying I’ve given you wisdom. Yield to it. Don’t yield to worldly so called wisdom. It isn’t wisdom. It’s foolishness to God. But I’ve given you wisdom. I’ve taught you how to think.
Guys, do we realize that the only truth Amy and I were talking about this morning, everything, part of the Word of God is an opinion. I’ve got an opinion on everything. Isn’t based on anything, but I got an opinion on it. But the word of God is something that we don’t have to have an opinion on. It’s the only truth available to us. And that’s why Pilate said, what is truth? And you know what Jesus said, I am TRUTH. I am the WAY and the TRUTH and the LIFE. The only truth that we can hang on, which is our constant in life. And guys, do we want to go through life without a constant, without something that we know is true. I mean, how many people are out there that don’t know where they’re going when they die, and they don’t know why they’re here, and they don’t know why they were born, and they don’t know why my mate was born?
Guys, the issue to all of this is we don’t have one standard to grab a hold of in this world that is truth, except the Word of God. And what do we ignore the most? The Word of God. How much time do we spend studying it? How much time do we spend pondering it? How much time do we spend looking at that verse and saying, wonder what that means, Lord? Or to just keep asking Lord God, Jesus Christ, Lord Father, give me spirit of wisdom and revelation so that you may know him better. That’s good. Pray, the eyes of a heart. Keep asking God, the Lord Jesus, Christ, the glorious Father, to give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation. How come? How come? So that you may know Him better, you want to get to know Jesus, grab a hold of the wisdom. How it is it wisdom? Is it wise to get to know Jesus? And get to know the revelation about Jesus, get to know Him, not just about him, but to know Him. And why did he come? What does it mean? What does it mean when he said, I took away the sins of the world? What does it mean when Jesus cried out from the cross, Father forgive them. They don’t know what they’re doing. What does that mean, that we’re brilliant? What does it mean? That’s how you study your Bible. You don’t study your Bible by reading words. You study your Bible by asking with an attitude, what does this mean, Lord, and I’m not going to know what it means, apart from your revelation. Remember, guys what it says, No eye has seen, no ear has heard, or mind is conceived of those things that God has prepared for those who love him, but it must be what? Revealed by who? THE SPIRIT.
