Classic Christianity – The Premise for Predestination – Part 3 – 8-20-25

The Premise for Predestination – Part 3 – 8-20-25

~ In the book of Revelation, chapter 21 we see a description of what heaven will be like after ALL things come to pass. Heaven will be here on Earth. This is a description from the Word of God, but much much more will be seen with our own eyes. The Earth shall be changed and made new. God is going to dwell with Man as in the early days of the garden of Eden, before the fall, where not only did God indwell Man (Adam and Eve), but he also walked with them and talked with them in physical form. There will be no more physical sickness or physical death in the future. Now we who are in Christ Jesus have been given the Holy Spirit for spiritual Life, and we see with Faith filled eyes, but we will also be receiving our new physical bodies that will never die and will see with our own physical eyes in the future. And even though our physical bodies of flesh and blood die now, we can NEVER die, because the Holy Spirit is our very life! John 11:25,26 tells us that! 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me will live, even though he dies. 26 And everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” And so, “We are confident, then, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:8

Ask God for ALL wisdom and understanding, for True Wisdom comes directly from God.

Revelation Chapter 21, New Heaven and New Earth

1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying:

“Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man,

and He will dwell with them.

They will be His people,

and God Himself will be with them as their God.

4 ‘He will wipe away every tear from their eyes,’

and there will be no more death

or mourning or crying or pain,

for the former things have passed away.”

5 And the One seated on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” Then He said, “Write this down, for these words are faithful and true.” 6 And He told me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give freely from the spring of the water of life. 7 The one who overcomes will inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he will be My son.

Does TRUTH matter? You bet it does. ALL TRUTH matters.

…..

And a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher, having done what, will I inherit eternal life?”
And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good, except God alone.

~ “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:12

~ Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; the one believing in Me, even if he should die, he will live. And everyone living and believing in Me shall never die, to the age. Do you believe this?” John 11:25,26

Pray to God:

Do you really want to know the WHOLE Truth of what is going on today?

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7

Lord Jesus, teach me the truth of the world today and give me the wisdom to know the truth and identify the lies of the devil. Thank you God.”

~ “Now, when you and I are absent from the body, we’re free from all that. Paula, when that occurs, your shoulder is never going to hurt again. My back and feet aren’t going to hurt anymore. Not going to have to worry about heart attacks and prostate cancer and all that kind of stuff, that goes on. You’re free from it. You’re never going to see sin again, never going to see death again, never going to see suffering again. That’s where your departed loved ones are. Now, do you want them back? Say, Well, I’d like to see them again, but would I want them to come and live? No, no, I’ll wait to go meet them. And there’s the difference between wisdom. Is the thing of it is, I know where my loved ones are. I know where my mom and dad and sister is. I know where Amy’s sister is going. I know where her brother is going. I know where her mom and dad are, and I know I’m going to see him again, and so is she. That I know that is not an opinion. That’s something I know. Because I know that I’m willing to live here on this earth, and for me to live is Christ. For me to die is gain. But if you want me here, and you want me here for a few more years, which evidently you did, I’m willing to do it. And when I’m here, I’m going to be proclaiming you, and when you’re ready to take me home, I’m ready to go. Now, guys, that is why the sting of death has been taken from us. Someone said one time, don’t cry for me, my husband’s with Jesus.” ~ Bob George

Bob George 0:29

So he said, I’m going to give you a plan that is all me and none of you, and the only thing that I’m going to ask of you is either to believe it by faith or deny it. But there’s nothing else you can do, there’s no works. It is for by grace that you’re saved through faith, not that of yourselves. It’s a gift of God, not as a result of works, so that no man can boast. And I’ve taken you out of the equation, and I’ve said, Here’s your source of salvation to the HEBREW and to the Gentile, believe it and be saved both HEBREW and Gentile. Well, I’ve been so righteous. I’m not talking about your righteousness. It made me sick. I’m talking about. Putting your faith in the righteous one. Your righteousness, up to my Son, is pitiful, so I’m not interested in it. I’m interested in your putting your faith in my righteous one, and that’s my Son did it to both the HEBREW and the Gentile. Unthinkable to the HEBREW, quite frankly, good news to the Gentile. And so this whole book of Ephesians In the first chapters is dealing with that issue of the HEBREWS that were saying these Gentiles can’t be on the same par with us, and the Gentiles saying who they think they are. And the HEBREWS are saying, we’re God’s chosen people. And it says it appeared Gentiles said, it appears to me God made me a son, the same as he did you, and arguing with each other and fighting with each other. Now God is coming in this book to straighten that out and to show us how that God, in His wisdom, came to save both of you, to neutralize you, and to save everyone on the same basis faith in Christ, Jesus, so that there is now no HEBREW or Gentile or slave or free. But I have come to save the world and to make one new man out of the two. Who’s the two? The HEBREW and a Gentile. Who’s the one new man? The Ecclesia called the church to make one new man out of the two.

So he tells us there that having believed that you as a HEBREW and you as a Gentile were marked in him with a seal the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession to the praise of his glory.

Now let’s pick up in verse 15, for this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and your love for all the saints. So once again, Paul expresses it this way, the only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. He’s identifying the two things that God is interested in, faith and love, not interested in all the other stuff that we think is so important. But how you doing in a faith and love department? But ever since I’ve heard of your faith in Jesus, not faith in faith guys, not faith in tradition, there isn’t anything with these people that teach tradition in the Bible. And yet, many times we worship at the feet of our tradition. I have said before guys that any time you add to the Gospel, Jesus said, Paul said that this is the gospel, the death of death of Christ, the burial of Christ and the resurrection of Christ period. That’s the gospel. Anytime you add to that, whatever you add becomes your focus. That’s all you talk about. You add worshiping on Saturday to that, and that’s all you talk about is Saturday worship. You add baptism to that, and that’s all you talk about. And you tell people you can’t be saved unless you’re what? Baptized. It’s not the gospel. You speak in tongues, the only thing, and that’s it. That’s all they talk about. Oh, I’m glad you’re a Christian. Just love you to death, brother. Do you speak in tongues? No. Face changes. Face changes. Why don’t you speak in tongues? Don’t believe in it. Now it really changes. Anything that you add to the death, burial and resurrection, folks, if you hang on to death, burial and resurrection, there isn’t anything to brag about. You didn’t, that’s he not talking about your death or your burial or resurrection, talking about his, but when I add something I can do, climb up in that water and get dunked and I’ve done something, and that’s what I’m going to talk about. I’m going to talk about what Jesus did. I’m going to talk about what I did. I spoke in tongues? Well, big, hairy deal. What if you didn’t have one? What if you didn’t have a tongue? Just how important would any of that be? Guys? Anybody tell me how important that would be if you didn’t have a tongue? How important would that be if you were paralyzed, had Parkinson’s disease and couldn’t speak anything, just how important would that be? And yet, people make it important. Why? Because I’ve done it. I’ve done it.

Guys, that is all tradition stuff that is all taking the Bible out of context, misinterpreting it and making a tradition out of it, keeping short accounts with God. That’s a tradition. There isn’t anything in a Bible about keeping short accounts with God. It’s a tradition. It’s how I keep myself holy. Really? Do you honestly think that you could do something to make yourself holy, to make myself righteous? I say, then you just go stand before God right now with that little thing and see just how well we do with that. Can you imagine any of us standing in the presence of the holy God and saying, God, don’t you see how righteous I am? He said, I’ve looked but no, I don’t. Guys, it’s all him and it’s none of you.

Now he says, I’ve not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord, Jesus, Christ, the glorious Father, may give you a Spirit of wisdom and revelation. No, we’re told in scripture that God, Jesus is our wisdom. And I believe Jesus is our revelation. I think it’s as we continue to get to know Him, that He wants us to know that wisdom and revelation is inside of you. I have given you those things now use them. Guys, how many tools do you have in the garage that have never been used? I’ve got a bunch of them. You know why I don’t use them? I’d tear the house down. I am not handy. I changed a little valve one time and jerked the whole sink right out of the floor, right out of the deal. Now, some people say that smart, because from that day forth, Amy said, Don’t ever do anything again. Hey, that’s good news. But I’m not handy, but I love tools. I really do. I go to Home Depot, and I just, I just lust after these tools. They just, they fascinate me. Don’t know how to use one of them, and if I did, I’d cut my hand off and fingers and everything else. But I love tools. Well, we’re the same way. The thing of it is said, I’ve given you the tools now use them. I say, Well, Lord, I’m clumsy. He said, No, I’ve no, I’ve taken care of that too. On that spiritually, there is no clumsy spiritual person. So the issue is, he’s saying I’ve given you wisdom. Yield to it. Don’t yield to worldly so called wisdom. It isn’t wisdom. It’s foolishness to God. But I’ve given you wisdom. I’ve taught you how to think.

Guys, do we realize that the only truth Amy and I were talking about this morning, everything, part of the Word of God is an opinion. I’ve got an opinion on everything. Isn’t based on anything, but I got an opinion on it. But the word of God is something that we don’t have to have an opinion on. It’s the only truth available to us. And that’s why Pilate said, what is truth? And you know what Jesus said, I am TRUTH. I am the WAY and the TRUTH and the LIFE. The only truth that we can hang on, which is our constant in life. And guys, do we want to go through life without a constant, without something that we know is true. I mean, how many people are out there that don’t know where they’re going when they die, and they don’t know why they’re here, and they don’t know why they were born, and they don’t know why my mate was born?

Guys, the issue to all of this is we don’t have one standard to grab a hold of in this world that is truth, except the Word of God. And what do we ignore the most? The Word of God. How much time do we spend studying it? How much time do we spend pondering it? How much time do we spend looking at that verse and saying, wonder what that means, Lord? Or to just keep asking Lord God, Jesus Christ, Lord Father, give me spirit of wisdom and revelation so that you may know him better. That’s good. Pray, the eyes of a heart. Keep asking God, the Lord Jesus, Christ, the glorious Father, to give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation. How come? How come? So that you may know Him better, you want to get to know Jesus, grab a hold of the wisdom. How it is it wisdom? Is it wise to get to know Jesus? And get to know the revelation about Jesus, get to know Him, not just about him, but to know Him. And why did he come? What does it mean? What does it mean when he said, I took away the sins of the world? What does it mean when Jesus cried out from the cross, Father forgive them. They don’t know what they’re doing. What does that mean, that we’re brilliant? What does it mean? That’s how you study your Bible. You don’t study your Bible by reading words. You study your Bible by asking with an attitude, what does this mean, Lord, and I’m not going to know what it means, apart from your revelation. Remember, guys what it says, No eye has seen, no ear has heard, or mind is conceived of those things that God has prepared for those who love him, but it must be what? Revealed by who? THE SPIRIT.

Bob George 14:29
To know what the Bible means, you must depend on the Spirit to reveal it to you. Now, what does he say about that? Keep asking God, the glorious Father, that he will give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation. Has God given you the Spirit of revelation? Do you have revelation Spirit in you? Yeah, you do What’s he want you to do? Grab a hold of it. What do we do? What do the Baptists think? What do Presbyterians think? What do the Catholics think? Who cares? The issue is, what’s the Bible say? If you read and you ask God to give you revelation as what the Bible means, and it happens to agree with one of those denominations, tell me about them. But the issue is that it’s the whole kind the whole idea of truth isn’t in what does my denomination think? Because what your denomination think is based upon what your denominational seminary thinks, and who’s taught your pastor, and that could all be wrong. If you’re in a church of Christ seminary, you’re taught, baptism saves you. Guess what you’re going to teach your congregation? Baptism saves you. If you’re in a charismatic and you believe you’ve got to speak in tongues, to be saved. Guess what you’re going to get taught? And I could go on and on and on. If you grew up in a Catholic church and you believe that the Eucharist, you believe taking a wafer is Jesus entering into you, that’s what you’re going to teach your people. Can you believe that? What kind of faith do you have to believe that that wafer is Jesus, or that wafer can someway transfigure himself into Jesus? Taught that, people believe that.

So guys, the issue is, I cannot depend upon my denomination for spiritual wisdom. You can’t depend upon People to People for spiritual wisdom. You’ve got to go into the Word of God and to grab a hold of the wisdom and revelation that is in you if you’re born again, that is the Spirit living in you that gave you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation. And grab a hold of that and trust the Lord Jesus Christ to reveal truth to you, and you’ll get to know him better.

I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened. The eyes of your heart. Now it isn’t talking about that you got to set eyes down there. But the issue that you’ll be able to see truth when it’s presented. Guys, I’m amazed, and I’m amazed many times at people who I look at and say they’re born again, of how they can grab a hold of somebody teaching garbage. And you say, Do you not have the Spirit of wisdom and revelation living in you? Why are you going to different people and saying, What do you think? What do you think? What do you think? What do you think? What do you think? Go to the Bible and you’ll know what to think. Do you think that God made second rate citizens and said, I’m going to save you, but you’re too dumb to know what I’m teaching you. I love you, but you’re really dumb. You may be dumb in the world, but I want to tell you something if you’re born again, you have wisdom, and I’d rather have wisdom than intellect any day. You’ve got everything that you need for life and godliness. You have everything that you need to be able to grasp the meaning of every word in the in the Word of God. He didn’t make any second rate citizens. You’re not spiritually dyslexic. He gave you the ability to understand. Do you believe that? That is the most uneducated, totally able to understand the word of God.

That truth was revealed to me in a story that some of you have heard me say before, but revealed to me in actual experience. But the reason I believe it is because of the Word of God. It just solidified the Word of God to me. When I was a brand new Christian and still in business, I flew out to the company that I was in business with, a manufacturer, and was greeted at the airport by a black chauffeur, a great big old black limousine. And he got out in his black uniform, and he opened up the back door, and I said, Sir, is anyone else going back to the headquarters except me? Said, No, sir. Said, Would you mind if I ride it, rode up in the front with you? Well, no, no, sir, that’d be fine. So he opened up the door, got in the front seat. We were driving after a while, and I said to him, his name was Wilbur. Never forget him. Wish to God I’d have kept in contact with him. Will, never forget him. I said, Wilbur, have you ever made the discovery of knowing Christ, Jesus in a personal way? Man, his eyes lit up. He said, You a Christian? I said, I sure am. He said, Praise Jesus. Well, we just praised Jesus all the way to headquarters. Had the best time. That guy had a grasp on the Word of God like I’d never heard before. I was a new Christian, but I was old enough to know that this guy knew his Jesus. At the end of the board meeting. And there I did learn why they called them board meetings and at the end of that why one of the boring officers said, I’ll take you back to the airport. And I said, all you need to do that. I said, Do I know you’re tired. Why don’t you just let Wilbur do that? Well, okay. I said, Praise Jesus. You’re still on the throne. And so Wilbur took me back to the airport. On the way back, we were talking about the Lord and and again, guys, why I why I said what I said, God only knows, because that would be presumptuous for me to say to a person, I’d like to send you a Bible. Wouldn’t it be presumptuous? The guy knows the Bible, I’m sure he had one, but I did. I said, you know, Wilbur, I’d like to do something for you. When I get back, I’d like to send you a Bible. And he was kind of quiet for a minute. He said, I tell you, that wouldn’t do you much good. And I said, Why is that, Wilbur? I mean, I should have said, well, obviously, you got a Bible. But I said, Why is that, Wilbur? He said, well, because so you see, I can’t read. And I said, Wilbur, you can’t read? He said, No, sir. Said, Wilbur, I have never met a man that had a greater grasp on the Word of God than you. He said, I was a good listener, and I learned that day that eye does not see and ear does not hear, and mind cannot conceive of what God has prepared for those who love him, but it’s got to be revealed by the Spirit. God saw Wilbur’s heart. He went beyond his intellect and through his wisdom, He taught him truth that set him free. What a man I’ll never forget, Wilbur back in Pennsylvania, it was a life changing event for me.

Guys, when God speaks to you, he wants your eyes of your heart to be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you. He doesn’t want us to sit around thinking about it. He wants us to know. Talking to a sweet lady earlier, who lost her husband three years ago. He’s with Jesus. That’s the hope we have. He’s with Jesus, and she said, later, I’m going to see him again. Well, that takes the sting away. I mean, it’s kind of like saying, Well, my husband’s in Hawaii for three years. Well, I sure wish he is here, but sure glad he’s in Hawaii. Guys, do we understand that we do not look at things, wisdom says, I don’t look at death the way the world looks at death. I look at death the way the Bible has revealed death to me. It just says, we go to sleep. Doesn’t even say you die, just we go to sleep. And when loved ones die and go to sleep, they just wake up, if they’re in Christ, Jesus into the presence of Jesus, absent from the body, or, as I said one time, absent from the potty, present with the Lord. Got a little confused that day, absent from the body and immediately present with the Lord. Now is that good news?

Guys, out of this garbage can, won’t even have to go through an election again, out of this world that we live in, where now we promote sin, we promote homosexuality and ignore adultery. Can you imagine trying to gather a parade for Disneyland of adulterers? I don’t think you’d have many people showing up. So we’re going out promoting sin, whether it’s adultery or homosexuality, it’s sin. They want to call it something else. Call it what it is. People say, Oh, well, my son, I don’t care if your son’s involved. In it or not, it’s sin. It needs to be dealt with in that way. There’s a heart problem that a person has, and so we have to deal with these things. We have to look for truth in this world and not be afraid to stand up to truth. Why? Because truth does what for people? Set you free? What does error do for people? Take a look at our country. That’s what it does for you. That’s what it does for you.

Now, when you and I are absent from the body, we’re free from all that. Someone said one time, don’t cry for me, my husband’s with Jesus.
