Law And Grace

Classic Christianity Radio – The Mystery of God Part 3 (2-13-19)

Bob George TeachingBob closes the study on Ephesians ending with the apostle Paul’s prayer for the Ephesians. They had heard the message of truth, the gospel of their salvation. Paul had heard of their faith and love for one another, and thought often of them. His prayer for them was for them to know God better, to have His Spirit and revelation for that purpose. As you read or study the scriptures, do you ask God to reveal truth to you so you may know Him better? Do you rely on what some teacher has said, or do you believe the truth because the Lord Himself taught you? It is sad to hear someone say I believe it is true because Bob said it is true. A teacher will share what the Holy Spirit revealed to him, but he will inspire you to check out the scriptures to test and see if what he says is so. If you have the Holy Spirit indwelling you, then you would come to the same meaning. The Holy Spirit is really the one who teaches you and reveals truth to you. What is Grace

Classic Christianity Radio – The Mystery of God Part 2 (2-12-19)

Bob George TeachingBob George provides insights on the subject of the mystery of God from God’s word. It pleased God to make known to you and me the mystery of His will. The Greek word for mystery is Mysterion. This is not like a Perry Mason novel. It is a hidden truth chosen at a time to be revealed to you. It is a revealing at a proper time. At the proper time, God chose to reveal truth to us, the born again.

Bob reminds the listener, those who are born again, of our great salvation, of the mercy and grace we received from God when we heard the truth of the gospel and believed. We received mercy when our sins were not counted against us because Jesus paid the punishment of death for sin that we deserved. Jesus died for the sins of the entire world when he shed his blood on the cross 2000 years ago. In Him, we received the forgiveness of sins.

Ephesians 1:7
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace

We also received … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Walk By Faith

Classic Christianity Radio – The Mystery of God Part 1 (2-11-19)

Bob George TeachingBob George provides insights on the subject of the mystery of God from God’s word. When many people think of the word mystery, they think of a mystery novel or maybe a detective show on television. In a detective mystery, a detective solves a murder from various clues gathered from interviewing suspects or witnesses and investigations surrounding a crime scene. When one thinks of a mystery in the scriptures, look back in the time period of the Jews and the Gentiles in the Old Testament before the cross. What information was known then? What could be known through the prophets and that which was written down through the Jewish scribes? Even though Moses wrote about Christ, many did not fully understand. How could they? There were clues alright but their meaning was hidden. Not until Jesus Christ came and explained what He came to do and then finished the work He said He came to do was this mystery understood. But not until the Holy Spirit came to dwell in men, where truth was made known in the hearts of men, was this mystery made known. Paul, appointed by … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Bob George TeachingBob teaches out of the Book of Galatians, Chapter 6. Bob talks about the circumcised group (the Jews) and the uncircumcised group (the Gentiles). God doesn’t look at the outside of man but looks at what is going on the inside. Understanding it is a relationship with God that is important for every person.

Not Circumcision but the New Creation

“See what large letters I use as I write to you with my own hand!

Those who want to impress people by means of the flesh are trying to compel you to be circumcised. The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ. Not even those who are circumcised keep the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your circumcision in the flesh. May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation. Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule—to the Israel of God.

From now on, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
