The World’s Sin is Unbelief in Jesus

~ “And having come, He will convict the world concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment: concerning sin indeed, because they do not believe in Me; and concerning righteousness, because I go away to the Father and you behold Me no more; and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.” John 16:8-11

– There is one sin that needs to be repented of and that is to change our mind in regards to who Jesus is, and that He took away the sins of the world, and the world includes you and me. When someone says they believe that, and then they go back and ask for more forgiveness by God, they have not exercised Faith in Him. Faith says thank you to God. Faith agrees with God. Faith adds up basic math and says, one plus one equals two. There is no more forgiveness being given out by God. God was in Christ Jesus, reconciling the world to himself, and is no longer counting anyone’s sins against them. The question is, what do we believe in the word of God? Do we give lip service to what the word of God says? Because most say they believe, but they don’t display what they say they believe by their actions. Do we trust Jesus, who died on the cross, and said “it is finished,” do we place Faith in Jesus having taken away the sins of the world? There is a difference between belief and faith. Faith is putting into action that which we claim to be Truth from the word of God. Faith does NOT ask for more forgiveness from God. Faith Trusts in Jesus to have completed the work on the cross for them personally.

The bottom line is that the Holy Spirit is telling the world, “Your sins have been forgiven.” Now place TRUE Faith in Jesus, God in flesh, to have done it at the cross, for without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness by God. And we know that Jesus is never going to die on the cross ever again for the sins of the world.

“God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

“Yeah. Girma, when Jesus said the world’s sin is unbelief in me, that’s the only sin that is going to be judged? Did you accept Christ, Jesus as your Lord and Savior, or did you deny Him? And so any other judgment? There’s a lot of judgments. There’s about seven major judgments in the in the scriptures, there’s judgment against nations, our sins, of course, were judged at the cross. There’s different I did a series on that not too long ago, but there’s different judgments. But as far as judgment, in regard to whether you’re saved or not, your name is either in the books, book of life, and if you’re in Christ, Jesus, that’s where it is or it isn’t. But there will be no judgment for your sins at all. Okay, it’s good news, isn’t it? Yeah, but no, when Christ, Jesus took away the sins of the world, that’s what he meant. He took it away never to see it again from the eyes of God, and the only sin therefore attributable to man is the sin of the rejection of the one who provided that for us. And that’s Christ, Jesus, and that’s he. That’s why he said the world sin is unbelief in me. And so the only sin attributable man is the rejection of the resurrection of Christ, Jesus, and the meaning of it, as well as the cross, the Gospel, it saves, Peter said, is the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. And when we deny any of that, why, then we literally have denied the Jesus of the Bible.” – Bob George
