Attitudes of Faith

~ “Therefore if you have any encouragement in Christ, if any comfort from His love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being united in spirit and purpose.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but in humility consider others more important than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.” Philippians 2:1-4

Can you imagine if Jesus, God in the flesh, snuffed out everyone before the cross, because that is what would have happened because none of us were righteous in the sight of God on our own. And God does NOT grade on the curve. He treats everyone the same. Either a person accepts the Grace of God or they try in the energy of their flesh to please God. And only in the Grace of God is a person declared righteous before God Himself.

~ Faith in Jesus is What’s Important, Not Faith in Ourselves

~ Let’s get down to where the rubber meets the road. God wants us to Rest in Him, and He wants us to stop our fleshly works. And folks, God does get angry with people. He gets angry when a person refuses to enter His rest, and continues to do works of their own flesh. That should be quite sobering to most people today, but that message is hardly ever taught in the pulpits. In fact, the exact opposite message is taught by the world, including the religious world. The world tells you you’ve got to work to sustain yourself. And the religious world simply follows suit. You’ve got to work to earn your salvation, or even more subtle is the lie that is taught that you’ve got to work to keep your salvation, as though you earned it to begin with.
