Serve One Another in Love ~ Love is Jesus ~ Truth

~ Much of what we do today is skewed based on our misunderstanding of things. For example, the word Love as defined in the word of God is completely misunderstood today, even big time misunderstanding within the body of Christ too. We are told to serve one another in love, by following the way of Love. But here is where it gets important to understand what love is and what it is NOT. First off, we have to understand that Love lives in the true child of God today. We are told in the scriptures that Love is Jesus, and that He lives in every true child of God. That doesn’t mean that Love has a muzzle over their mouth. It doesn’t mean that Love is not a foreteller of truth.

And because of our misunderstanding of love, we let the flesh get in the way of allowing love to flow in and through us. We let our flesh talk to us, because truth seems too harsh a reality sometimes and we are worried what people may think of us. We sometimes are quiet when we shouldn’t be, and sometimes speak out when we shouldn’t speak. We sometimes don’t allow the Holy Spirit to use us, or we allow our flesh to override the truth of the word of God, because we don’t like the implied implications of the word of God and what that means for others in our flesh. And it is so easy to justify our thoughts on the matter too, which is totally against the word of God. We don’t want to reason together with the Holy Spirit, even though the Holy Spirit is constantly telling us, “Come let us reason together.” Because if something we know that is true, is indeed true, there are consequences to people NOT hearing the Truth of the word of God in all details. And as we have said many times before, details matter in everything. All of the word of God is tied together and by the Holy Spirit teaching us all truth, we are learning directly from God.

So don’t be so quick to pull the plug on truth because your flesh doesn’t like something. Allow the Holy Spirit to use you in life. That is our spiritual worship, when we make our bodies available to Him, for His use.

Where people get in at Teach there’s Angel language, or that I speak in Angel tongue. It wouldn’t make a difference. If you didn’t even have a tongue. God would hear you wouldn’t he. I mean, are the deaf and dumb some kind of second rate citizens? You if you had your tongue cut out, would you not be able to communicate with God anymore? If we have to have a tongue to communicate with God, why would we ever say let’s have a season of silent prayer? Why would you ever have silent prayer? If you had to be speaking for God to hear you? You see what I’m getting at? And so it wouldn’t make any difference. And that’s why I said I want to show you an excellent way. It just wouldn’t make any difference. It doesn’t make any difference what you’re doing, he got all the money in heaven and earth, speak all the languages of earth and heaven. If you don’t have love, you’re just a resounding gong and a clanging cymbal. He’s just making a bunch of noise and it didn’t mean anything because it doesn’t manifest itself and communicate love to people. You certainly aren’t communicating love I’m not communicating love if I’m out trying to divide the body with spiritual upmanship trying to tell somebody I got something you don’t have. So I don’t want to walk around being proud of being a Judean or proud of being a Gentile, the Christian world that we should they were Jews instead of children of God, it’s unbelievable. They’d rather be in Israel than in Christ. And Judeans sitting around wanting to hang on to their identity instead of realizing I have a brand new identity. In Christ, I’m neither Judean or Gentile, slave or free. So in a sense, talking around wanting to hang on to my Judean traditions and Judean identity. I’m a child of God. The Gentiles sitting around senators, no need my trying to handle it and being proud of being a Gentile. I’m a child of God. That’s who we are children of a living God, no Judean nor Gentile, no slave, no free, just a child of God, new identity. It was not a birth that we got from our mom and dad. It was not a natural birth. It was a spiritual birth from God and from God alone. And it’s occurs to every single person on the face of this earth and to any person who by faith will reach up to his God see his need. See his condition. Lost, see his conditions sins that had to be forgiven. See the reality of the provision of God, I did it. I did that. Bob, I died on the cross for the forgiveness of all your sins and to say, thank you, Lord, the car condition dead and that hammered spiritually to see His provision. I am Life. And if you’re dead, and you see that he has Life, and I’m offering that like to you, you would have to be a numbskull in order to refuse that, and there are a lot of numbskulls running around. And pride is what keeps you from that. Pride is what keeps a man from refusing life. You see, man, we have built a salvation message around forgiveness, and around good deeds, and around how we behave. And so pride comes even when Satan uses that our own theology that is wrong. And he uses that. And he uses pride that’s within man to refuse that poor theology and you run from the true God. Pride is what says, Well, I’m not so bad. You have live pretty good life up compared Obama, I’ve done pretty good. And that’s true. You see, but you can compare your life with other men all over the place. That’s not the issue. The law condemns the best a man. And Grace saves the worst of men, and doesn’t have a thing in the world to do with how good you’ve been or how bad you’ve been. The issue is, do you see yourself from God’s standpoint, dead, and in need of life? And if you can see, when God says when you were dead, dead in your sins, and the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you what? Alive with Christ. So as a you has the Son has what? Life, he does not have a son does not have what? Life, well if you don’t have life, what are you? Dead, you have to be real keen of mind, figure that out. Now, if you’re dead in the sight of God, to me, I would think the only thing you’d want would be life. And pride keeps a man from saying he says I’ll do it my way. Well, that’s as dumb as a corpse land in the grave, then I’ll do it my way. You sure will. You’ll rot your way, very uniquely your way. And that’s exactly what this whole issue of spiritual birth is about. We were all given each and every person, the minute of spiritual birth, we’re given the same Spirit in which to drink. Now it says you are the body and each of you are a part of it. And so if you’re the body of Christ, and each and every one of us are a part of it, then he says, what is it that drew us to the Lord to begin with? Love. That’s why you responded to God so loved you. That he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. So what drew you to him? Love. Now, he said, as I have loved you, so what? Love one another. It’s what it talks about with husband and wife to love your wife as you love your own body, after all, no one ever hates his own body loves it and cares for it. And we do, don’t we, we care for our own bodies, we get up and wash yourself and brush your teeth, I hope and wash your feet, I hope and all those things. And, and we care for this body of ours, we feed it and we protect it and we give it shelter and everything else. So we’re very concerned. And some people are overly concerned about the care of these bodies of ours. So we love our own bodies, enough to care for them. They’re ours. So take care of them. Now he says that in the same way as the body of Christ. And each one of you have parts love one another. And, and so he’s going to show us a more excellent way. In other words, he’s going to say I want you to understand that you’ve been placed into this body, you’re a finger, your thumb, you’re an arm, you’re an elbow, whatever it might be. And that’s important for you to know. But it isn’t important for you to know for the body just to stand there like that. And let her by look at it and say what are you I’m thumb, but the body is there to do something and that’s the serve. And so he’s saying to us is what good does it do you to be a part of the body unless you see yourself as a part of the body there to serve the rest of the body. And so it isn’t for us to be bragging about whether I’m a nose or an ear or a thumb or whether I speaking in tongues or whether they have the gift of healing or where they got, that’s all ludicrous to be bragging over those kinds of things. God if you have something God gave it to you to begin with, so use what he gave you without trying to divide the body. bragging on what you think you’ve got. And that’s what he’s talking about with all spiritual gifts that are making a difference what they are, if you’ve got a gift, use it. If it’s serving serve, if it’s giving, give if it’s teaching, teach. And don’t do it with a proud attitude that, look, what I’m doing for you is I really got me a gift. He said, No, no, no. And then he goes ahead to say, let me show you a more excellent way because it’s in that excellent way that we realize that what good would it do us to have a hand if the hand wasn’t gonna do anything, it may as well not be there. If the hand didn’t get to pick up something for you tie your shoe for you put food in your mouth for you. Might as well not have it don’t need not gonna do anything anyway. And so he said, let me show you a more excellent way. And a more excellent way is concentrate not on your gift, not on the signs and on the wonders. But concentrate on serving one another in love, it is a more excellent way. That’s our focus on loving one another. Not on whether I’m a finger or a nose. Are you in the body? Yeah. Use it. Are there other people in the body? Yeah. Aren’t you glad you got some of the parts you’ve got? Now, I’m glad they’re serving this body ours.

So people say well why don’t you go to him and let him pray for you he’s got a hotline to God. Well, that’s ridiculous. Are you in Christ? Well, who is he? Well, he is your Father. Would you go to your brother and ask him would you mind talking to dad on my behalf? What for? Unless you thought I didn’t like it then that true why would I need to go talk to my brother to talk to my father when I talk to my father and yet we have that idea, well, let’s let those old people that full time work pray because they got a direct line right that God no they don’t got same line you guys want to talk to God? It says go boldly in the presence of God calling him what? Daddy Abba Father, he’s your Father. Say why haven’t been acting very good. Well, what kid has we have that idea that I can only go into the presence of God if I got my act cleaned up. Well, if you didn’t get your own act cleaned up, you’d be gone. That’s why it says to go in in time of need in order to find mercy in your time of need, well, why would you need to go find mercy if you were just doing everything right? And so we have a Heavenly Father and my friends, that’s what we have talked about. If you’re going to grow in grace, then you’re going to have to grow in grace, by putting your faith in him and what he is doing in the midst of whatever you’re doing. And you grow in grace, when you’re messing up, you better believe it’s the only way you and I can grow on Grace, because we’re messing up most of the time. From God’s vantage point. Not from ours, we look pretty good to each other thought about from His. How do you grow and grace? Why by keeping your eyes on him and what he’s doing, in the midst, whatever you’re doing, feel say, Lord, I just acted like a fool. I’m thinking like an idiot. I’m doing things that are totally contrary to who I am. And in the midst of it, you love me, and accept me and will never leave me nor forsake me. And will never disown me. And you and you just keep saying I just love you, Bob, I just accept you. I said, Lord, I don’t understand that. Because I know you don’t. That’s why you’re not God. Don’t pull God down to our level. Don’t bring him down to where we are trying to say, Well, this must be the way God is because that’s the way I am I tell you got that reversed. God is God. God is the one who has that capability of loving you and me in the midst of ourselves in spite of ourselves. And that is the love of God.

And so the love of God is is is what is there saying in the midst of these yucky thoughts that you and I can have and the dumb decisions that we can make. And I love you. I love you perfectly. Folks, do you realize that one of the reasons that you see the confusion that you do today ties in to this thing of forgiveness? And why the hammering on the cross is so unbelievable important. When Christ went to this cross we’re talking about he not only died for the forgiveness of your sins, it says he canceled the written code that was against us. In other words, he took away the law. There’s only one message of the law, condemnation. That’s it. The man who does this is condemned there’s only one message and that’s condemnation. In order to realize that. Let me give you an example of that. If you were driving right now in a 30 mile hour zone driving 50 Would you feel guilty? If you were well, how come you’d feel guilty? Because, well, how come you feel guilty? If you’re driving 50 in a 30 mile an hour zone, how come you feel guilty? Because you are guilty? Yeah, don’t make it complicated. Because you are. There’s a law that says, drive 30 If I’m driving 50, I’m in violation of the law. Therefore, before the law, I am guilty, right? That’s why I feel guilty. Now, if the signs all of a sudden were all taken away, all taken away. There weren’t any more signs. And you were driving 50 In the old 30 mile an hour zone? Would you feel guilty? Would you feel guilty? Honestly? Probably would, how come? Would you be guilty? No. But would you feel guilty? Yeah, because you remember that old sign it was there. Now, is that guilt gonna do you announce of good? No. Does it make any sense to feel guilty? No, because you’re not. Why would you feel guilty if you’re not guilty? And if the sign isn’t there, you’re not guilty. In order to be guilty, someone’s gonna be there to accuse you. Right? And if there are no one there to accuse you, how can you be guilty? And if you’re not guilty, why feel guilty? Now on the other hand, if that 30 mile an hour zone was that said, school children playing. And you had come to a point where you are in dwelt by living God living in you, that is leading you and teaching you truth? What do you think that voice inside of you would be telling you, as you were driving through that said, children playing? Slow down, stupid. Or you might hit somebody. And if you were driving too fast, and saw some kids over there, what do you think it hits your mind, guilt or stupidity? And say this is stupid, I need to slow down. I need to drive responsibly. No law there to convict you to the Spirit of God saying. This doesn’t make any sense. Is it permissible? Yes. Is it profitable? No. And that’s where the Bible says, folks, Everything is permissible. But not all things are profitable. Why is it permissible? Because the law from a Christian, there is no law. But the Spirit of God living in us is what leads us to say that is not profitable. It’s not profitable for you as a child of God, and it’s not profitable for them out there, that you’re putting their life in jeopardy. Now, if we don’t, folks, and we don’t get free of this guilt, because when Christ died on the cross, he not only freed you of sin, it says of sin and of guilt. Folks, there’s only one place that you can go from God’s vantage point to see that you have been freed of guilt. And remember, we said the beginning can man live with guilt. That’s why God had an Old Testament sacrificial system until Christ came, you can’t live with guilt? It eat your lunch. Why do you think medical doctors say that 80% of the beds in hospitals today are filled with people as a result of guilt? Because they’re filled with beds are filled because of guilt. Guilt, eats your lunch and eats mine. Doesn’t it? And have we do not see that the cross of Jesus Christ not only freed us from sin, but it freed us from guilt. It freed you from the penalty, the punishment the accusations in him It says there is no condemnation awaiting those who belong to Christ Jesus. We are now led by the Spirit. If he didn’t come to live in us everything I’m saying it’d be ridiculous because we’d just be out while is and Wolf as you can get. When Christ Jesus is alive living in you and me. He’s the one who leads you into the mentality. This is permissible, Bob, but this is not profitable. Why do you think people go? Can you imagine going and paying somebody $100 an hour and why you would go to pay someone $100 an hour to tell you you’re a sinner? It’s all your fault. You’ve you’ve got the right of your own decision. You can you can determine your own consequences. Would you pay someone 100 bucks an hour to tell you that? Of course not. I going to pay somebody 100 bucks an hour. I want somebody to say it’s not your fault Bob. Got a chemical imbalance is not your fault, Bob, you got a mother. It’s not your fault, Bob. You had a dysfunctional family. It’s not your fault, Bob. You didn’t have a teddy bear to hug when you were a kid. It’s not your fault, Bob. Well, you were probably potty trained too early. Well, I’ll pay a guy her bucks an hour to hear that because I walk out there saying, go so don’t blame me. Hey, Murrow song about that. Remember that old song? Don’t blame me for falling in love with you. Blame all the charms that melt my arms. Don’t blame me. I’ve heard Yeah, there’s a song good popular one. Yeah. Don’t blame me for that. It’s all your fault. We are hell bent on anything that will teach me Don’t blame me. And that’s why we go to a shrink. And pay the money that we pay. And even go to the point of taking some good numbers, my head so that I will be able to say Don’t blame me. Don’t blame me. Well, if that wasn’t an unbelievable need to be free of guilt, why in the world do you think Christ went to a cross to free you from guilt?

You see, Christ could have come very easily, and have done everything he did and forgot about nailing the cross, the law to the cross and you’re saved everything we’re talking about, but the law still in effect for you. And there’s many Christians today who live like that when Christ came to live within me I was born again to it, I can go obey the law. You ever heard that one? Lot’s of luck? Well, if that’s true, then what? What are you going to feel when you don’t obey it? Guilt? Did he come to free of guilt? I did shoot it. And because we stubbornly refuse to go to him, to free us of guilt. We would rather go sit in a shrink’s office, and let him rationalize your actions. And pay tons of money in order to get that done. For one reason only, we’re not interested in why I behave the way I am. That isn’t why we go it’s an excuse. What we want to do is can I get rid of this guilt? And we think that we’ll get rid of our guilt by letting someone say it wasn’t your fault. You’re a victim. You’re dysfunctional. You’re out of balance. You’re out of whack. Christ is the answer to that, folks. That stuff won’t work. It can work for a while you can buy that lie for a while it won’t work. It’s like the sacrificial system. It doesn’t work because you kind of keep doing it over and over and over and over again. That was why the sacrificial system was not complete. You had to keep going back. Why? Because the law was there condemning it for next year. Alleviate forgive sin. Yeah. Sounds good. Next day the law hit net, you again, hit net, you again. Gotta go back again. I gotta go back again. Gotta go back again. It will not work. I don’t care how much you go back and get rationalized. It will not help. Temporarily, maybe, permanently, no way. There’s only one thing that happened once and for all, the cross of Jesus Christ, where he nailed the law to the cross, raised in the newness of life, so that you and I can walk after the Spirit in love. Instead of having to rationalize our actions, our thoughts and everything else. There is no room in the life of a Christian for guilt. Now people’s say there by you talk to this guy’s teaching license. No, you’re not teaching truth. You can call it what you want to. It’s truth. It’s the word of God. Is everything permissible? Yeah. Is everything profitable? No. That’s how we live. That’s the truth that will set you Free. Any room for guilt? No. What you’ve done wrong. From God’s vantage point, it’s finished. behind his back, never see it again. So don’t call it I’ve done wrong, it was pretty stupid what I did, but right and wrong. That’s, that’s been hung on a cross. It’s the issue, it’s not profitable anymore. I can’t determine what’s right and wrong, folks. That’s what eating at the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil is all about. Was man standing there trying to determine what was right and wrong. We can’t determine right and wrong. We rationalize it all over the place. Do we? I wish you’d hear some of the conversations that I hear and give. Have you noticed about this about yourself? Have you ever noticed how stringent you are in regard to the law, the law that we do live under the law of the land when someone else violates it? And how merciful you are about yourself when you do? Have you ever noticed that? If you ever if a guy pulls out in front of you, you know, in your car, I mean to them, the police were the policeman, where are they? Where are they right? Take that guy and put him away? If you do it. Oh, thank you, boy, you know, I’m just so it was a mistake. I was preoccupied in my mind. We rationalize and all over the place. Don’t we? So boy, when someone else violates the law, get them when we do mercy. And so we’re not in a position of judging anything. That’s why God said you can’t eat of that Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. That’s God’s, that’s God’s tree. He’s the only one that can determine right from wrong and good from evil. And so from our standpoint, what we have to see is when Christ cried out, it’s finished. That’s what he meant. It’s finished. And now he’s saying, Are you a born again, person? Are you in Christ? Yes, I am, Lord. Then what we’re going to deal with is what is profitable.
