What is Faith? How to Know You are Saved in Christ Jesus

~ So many times, people don’t have a proper understanding of what salvation really is. Many people think salvation is getting your sins forgiven to begin with the first time they ask for it. Others think salvation is simply believing in Christ Jesus. Others think salvation is doing some sort of works or daily things to get salvation and maintain salvation. It’s a difficult thing to grasp with some people, because they want to maintain their idea of salvation by asking for forgiveness of their sins to begin with, and then maintain their salvation with ongoing asking for forgiveness over and over again as both Catholics in the confession booths and Protestants in their virtual confession booths erroneously do.

We are told in Scripture that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. And we are also told that salvation is receiving the Life of Christ, through the Holy Spirit coming to indwell a person when they place faith in Jesus and the finished work He did on the cross for them personally.

So once you have received Jesus, don’t keep asking him over and over to do what he has already done.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

The Lord’s Supper is a Picture of Being Joined Together in Christ Jesus as the Body of Christ Here on Earth

~ Now we talked about in 1st Corinthians 10:16 and 17. And what it says is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks for participation in the blood of Christ, in other words, the life of Christ. And is not the bread that we break up participation in the body of Christ, because there’s one loaf we who are many are one body, for we all partake of that one loaf. And so in this scripture we talked about last week, that’s what truly that’s what the Lord’s Supper when it is done properly, is all about, it’s showing a single loaf. Well that represented Jesus when he was here, and his bodily form, singular and form could have drawn him could have drawn a picture of him. He said, This is my body, it’s going to be broken for you and he broke that loaf. And he told the apostle don’t told the the believers eat of it. Now when every person partakes of that loaf, after everyone has taken a piece out of that loaf, where is it?… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Does Everyone Have the Same Job in the Body of Christ?

~ We who are in Christ Jesus have been assigned different things to do for the body of Christ. Not everyone is a nose. Not everyone is an eye. Not everyone is a mouth. Each part of the body of Christ has a different function. If we all spoke at the same time, then who would listen?

Listen in to today’s lesson with more in-depth teaching, from the Bible study booklet, A Closer Look at Your Identity in Christ, available for purchase from our online Bob George Ministries ecommerce store.

Just as a person’s physical growth is based on proper diet and exercise, so is the Christians’s spiritual growth dependent on regular feeding upon the word of God and application of its principles. With more false teaching, shifting opinions and general confusion in the world than ever before, Christians need a solid foundation upon which to base their beliefs and build their lives. The word of God declares that Jesus Christ is that foundation of truth. With that in mind, let’s now take A Closer Look at Your Identity in Christ.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

What is the Church? Where is the Body of Christ Today?

~ It is vitally important that we understand where the Body of Christ Jesus is today. Many Christians live their lives as though they don’t have a clue who they are in Christ Jesus. They don’t know that they are part of the body of Christ today and this very moment in time. They are called the called out ones. The ecclesia is a Greek word meaning a called-out assembly or called out ones of people. It’s also important to understand that “church” is not a building on the corner of walk and don’t walk. Listen in as Bob explains in detail the very practical meaning of the ecclesia word.

In Christ Jesus, We Have Eternal Life

Eternal life begins the very moment a person places faith in Jesus, and He sends His Spirit to come live in them forever. Now we do have this body of flesh that we are temporarily housed in, but some day we will be absent from this body of flesh we live in and be present with the Lord Jesus Christ with a brand new body. Bob explains this and other things in greater detail. Understanding our justification in Him is so important today, because without having a proper perspective on Life, we will continue to try and do what Christ Jesus has already done. Let us go on to maturity and learn what it means to live by faith moment by moment in our lives today.

We Are Justified by Faith in Jesus, Not By The Works of The Law

Place faith in Jesus, not your ability to keep the law. For no one can keep the law. Yet we see that man wants to continue in the work of religion. The evil works of religion is all around us. Religion sows to the flesh. It makes you think you are doing something to earn your way to heaven. But there is only one way, and that is through faith in Jesus. Jesus did it all.
