He starts by sharing from 1 Corinthians 15:1-5, in regards to the necessity of Jesus death, burial, and resurrection, and asks the question, “What is the gospel?” He then shares examples of men who were quite successful in this world, but how futile their life is without Christ. He shares from the booklet he wrote titled “Born Free” that provides more details on the lives of these men and their tragic ending (https://bobgeorge.net/books-by-bob-george/born-free/). So man, without the life of Christ, tries to find meaning and purpose in occupation, worldly success, sexual encounters, friends, and all kinds of things, none of which fill the God-sized vacuum in their inner being. Man’s fundamental problem is that he is spiritually dead and in need of new life, God’s life.

God gave the first created man, Adam, the choice to depend on God for life. When one reads Genesis, one reads that he was told that if he should eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he will surely die (Genesis 2:17). Tragically, he chose to not depend on God for life and chose his own way, and so sin entered the world through him, and death through sin, and so death came to all men.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
