Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 62 (08-21-19)
Jesus is speaking to the Jews and is speaking about a very important truth concerning himself. Jesus came to speak truth into our hearts so that we might believe and be saved. But the work of the Spirit is so vital for men to be saved. No one can understand the meaning of the word of God apart from the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit reveals truth to men.
The seed of truth is planted in the hearts of men, men who are born dead, dead to understanding the things of God. But if the seed falls on humble souls, they accept that what Jesus says is true. They realize that what they are doing is not working. They come to realize they are dead and are looking for the meaning to life. When they hear truth about the life in Christ, they readily believe the truth when they hear it.
We are God’s servants, sewing the seed of God’s word, but God causes the growth through His word. They accept His offer of eternal life, having repented of trusting in whatever else they were trusting in to have life, … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Bob George shares again the good news of the gospel, sharing truth from scriptures that he has compiled into a little booklet titled, “Born Free”. What is our part, as believers in Christ?
2 Corinthians 5:20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
Recall that which Christ has done for us, the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:18-19 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
We are saved by His life, the cross was not an end in itself, but a means of accomplishing the end – that of restoring life that had been lost through sin.

Bob George answers the question, “What is the gospel?”. Starting from 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Bob explains that Jesus died, was buried and was raised from the dead and appeared to you. This is the gospel that saves you, with nothing added to it. The gospel that saves is the message of what Christ has done to take away the consequences of sin, which is death, by the gift of God, which is life. Bob wrote a booklet titled , “Born Free”, that explains the gospel message. There are five main thoughts Bob shares concerning the gospel message.
Man’s problem : Man is spiritually dead and in need of life
God’s Solution : God has provided life through the resurrection of Jesus Christ
Before life could be given, sins had to be forgiven (taken away)

Welcome to Class Christianity Radio with Bob George on the clear, timeliness teaching on the complete forgiveness and unconditional love of Jesus, that transforms your life as you learn about God’s amazing love. Let’s join Bob as he continues sharing through the book of John. Currently, we are looking at John 4:28-54 concerning the Samaritan woman who shares her testimony to the local town and how through her testimony and the words of Jesus, many come to believe. Bob shares from these passages what is true evangelism and true discipleship. Evangelism is sharing the good news of Christ so someone is led to become a child of God by their expressed faith in the word of truth in the gospel, the message of good news. Discipleship is the exhortation and encouragement so someone comes to understand all that has been done for them by Jesus Christ and continues to grow in that new relationship as a child of God. There is no better way than learning from the Spirit of God what is the meaning of God’s word!
Classic Christianity – Book of John p10 (10-31-18)
Bob explains the gospel of good news by sharing numerous scriptures and discerning questions. He starts by sharing from 1 Corinthians 15:1-5, in regards to the necessity of Jesus death, burial, and resurrection, and asks the question, “What is the gospel?” He then shares examples of men who were quite successful in this world, but how futile their life is without Christ. He shares from the booklet he wrote titled “Born Free” that provides more details on the lives of these men and their tragic ending (https://bobgeorge.net/books-by-bob-george/born-free/). So man, without the life of Christ, tries to find meaning and purpose in occupation, worldly success, sexual encounters, friends, and all kinds of things, none of which fill the God-sized vacuum in their inner being. Man’s fundamental problem is that he is spiritually dead and in need of new life, God’s life.
God gave the first created man, Adam, the choice to depend on God for life. When one reads Genesis, one reads that he was told that if he should eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he will surely die (Genesis 2:17). Tragically, he chose … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
