Bob answers questions on different heretical teaching in the world today. The callers called to get help in regards to a friend or relative who was caught up in dangerous teaching. Bob addressed the truth from scriptures that exposes the error in the thinking of men. He edifies and strengthens the believers in their faith in Christ and encourages them to hold onto truth and not be unsettled on these things. He points them to resources to help them grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to hold out the word of life to their friends or loved ones as the opportunity comes. Several books that callers thanked Bob for were “Classic Christianity”, “Growing in Grace”, “Complete in Christ”, and “Overcoming Depression”. He particularly recommended “A Scriptural Journey to Discover the Grace of God” to Junior to share with his father who is involved in the Apostolic Church. Other callers had questions on understanding the will of God, the strange teaching of prophesying over someone, the word of faith teaching, and the false teaching that there are apostles today. Bob George answers a call by Lori from Eugene, Oregon. Her first question was about the purpose of the Sabbath, as she was confused on the different passages of scriptures she had been reading.  Bob explained from Hebrews and from Colossians, two passages of scripture that explains the Sabbath in light of the New Covenant of grace. The Sabbath of the Old Covenant was a shadow of the real Sabbath rest in Christ who completed the work he was sent to do. Since Jesus died to take away sins of the world, we, as children of God can rest from works of the law just as Jesus did from his. That is the real and true meaning of the Sabbath rest. Bob explains this concept of this Sabbath rest in Christ in detail.

After asking such a question, she admitted that she was manic depressive. Bob addressed the lie she is believing from the psychological babble of this world. People are depressed because they think depressing thoughts. People are anxious because they think about anxious things of the future. Bob addressed common questions in the world today. “Can believers marry again after divorce?”, “What did Jesus teach in Matthew?”, “What should we do when we sin as believers?”, and “Have I committed the sin of blasphemy?” are the questions asked by several callers. The callers are asking essentially the same question. “What does it mean to walk by faith?” Bob explains the New Covenant we are living under as believers as a covenant of grace, same as a will or a testament, started when Jesus shed hi blood on the cross. By properly understanding Jesus as being a Jew and and Old Covenant, speaking about the New Covenant in the gospels, one can more easily discern the meaning of scriptures in their proper context. Bob answers questions from several callers, mostly calling for clarification on the scriptures that they had struggle with understanding. Kenny, relocating due to his job, was trying to discern where to spend time with a new local body of believers. He was exposed to hearing teaching on the prosperity gospel and women pastors and what the word of God had to say about those things. Teachers of the prosperity gospel are charlatans in accordance with what one reads from 1 Timothy 6. Bob explains that they are using godliness as a means for financial gain, among other things. As far a woman pastors, God designed woman as a helper suitable for man, and, according to scripture are not to be put in a position in authority over a man. That has to do with God’s choice in creation and not a matter of equality but one in purpose or role. The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but people are tested by the praise they receive.

Many callers today called to thank Bob George for explaining truth. Bob responded in such grace and shared how he was in the crucible of testing throughout his ministry. Bob shared with humility and reiterated the main point that truth is what sets us free and error is what binds us, and really not any more complicated than that. Bob admitted where he did not know something and showed a teachable and humble spirit. For he himself, as we all are, are growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are all continually being renewed in our minds by the Holy Spirit who lives in us and guides us into all truth, and that will continue until the day we die.

Several callers called in. Karen called about end time events and if there is any measuring stick to know when the time of the rapture is near. Bob emphasized the importance of not getting bogged down into end time events, particularly speculation and arguments, which are not beneficial to anyone, and certainly not at the expense of living your life in the Spirit with faith expressing itself in love. Another caller Rene asked about people prophesying over men by laying hands on them telling what God had said concerning them. Bob emphatically stated that is dangerous akin to fortune-telling and to stay away from people like that. He also said there is no more new knowledge for the canon of scripture is closed and all we need to know is in the scriptures. Tarrance asked questions pertaining to salvation. Bob explained the gospel quite clearly and said that many only teach about sin, sin and sin and never speak of the resurrection.
