Classic Christianity – The Purpose of the Law – 8-26-26

To understand what Jesus did for us under the Law, we need to understand how Jesus, the True Goel Kinsman-Redeemer, under the law fulfills the Law of the Goel (Kinsman-Redeemer). He completely redeemed us. Not in just a spiritual way, but one that is flesh and bone too. Because someday, we will be like Him, having new flesh and bone ourselves.

Under the unyielding legal logic of divine jurisprudence, salvation is not a passive, disembodied sentiment; it is a rigorous, binding contract paid in full. To truly understand how this transaction balances the cosmic ledger, we must look to a core mechanism of ancient Israelite society: the Law of the Goel, or the Kinsman-Redeemer. Codified into the Mosaic Covenant at Mount Sinai, the Goel was the nearest blood relative responsible for stepping into the courtroom of justice to protect, rescue, and buy back the property, freedom, or lineage of a family member facing poverty or destitution. Classic Christianity – Permissible or Beneficial Part 2 – 8-25-26

~ Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with one another and forgive any complaint you may have against someone else. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which is the bond of perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, for to this you were called as members of one body. And be thankful.

Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. Classic Christianity – Permissible or Beneficial Part 1 – 8-24-26

~ Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who submit to or perform homosexual acts, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11

Paul explains here by giving some of the examples of lost people, evil people, people without the Spirit of God living in them. And even look at the details, he says, “some of you were.” In essence Paul is giving some descriptions of some of the lost people that they once were before they came to Christ Jesus. There could be lots lots more to the descriptions of an evil person. What he does it here to make a big point. Jesus Said Peace I Leave With You My Peace I Give to You

For those who are in Christ Jesus, Jesus is our Peace. When the Holy Spirit came and gave us Life, the very moment we exercised faith, the Spirit of Peace came to Live directly inside us. And Jesus said that would happen, when Jesus said He would send the Holy Spirit: “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have told you.” So now, livig after the cross, the Holy Spirit was indeed sent by the Father to teach us ALL TRUTH and to teach us ALL things. For some, who are in Christ Jesus, they have not asked to be shown the TRUTH of what is really going on in the world today. Classic Christianity – Peace, Purpose, & Promise Part 2 – 8-18-26

~ In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:10

Many of us have grown up knowing about Jesus, and many of us would say we knew about Jesus from the words of God. But we really didn’t know Him personally, nor did we understand that we could know Him in a very, very personal way. One of the chief ways that satan has hidden this from us is we grew up being taught that God is an angry God, and that we needed to do something to make amends for our bad actions.

We were placed constantly on a guilt trip and a performance spinning wheel by the religion that we grew up in. And this was not by accident, folks; this was designed by satan itself to deceive us into thinking we were not loved by God. And so we had to go out and try to earn God’s love for us. Classic Christianity – Peace, Purpose, & Promise Part 1 – 8-17-26

~ You who are trying to be justified by the law have been severed from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the hope of righteousness. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. What matters is faith expressing itself through love. Galatians 5:4-6

There’s only one way to be saved today, and that is Faith in Jesus Himself. It doesn’t matter whether you were born of one lineage or another. God doesn’t treat one better than another when it comes to salvation. God is not a respector of persons. He treats everyone the same. Yet there are people today still thinking as a Hebrew, and thinking they can keep the old covenant law that was nailed to the cross of Calvary. So the point is not to become a Hebrew, but to place faith in Jesus and become a new creation in Christ Jesus. Because the two are made one. There is no more Hebrew and Gentile. There is only the body of Christ Jesus as one.
