Think of Yourself With Sober Judgment

Classic Christianity – Gifts for Today – Part 2 – 7-08-26

~ “Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.a Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but think of yourself with sober judgment, according to the measure of faith God has given you. Just as each of us has one body with many members, and not all members have the same function, so in Christ we who are many are one body, and each member belongs to one another.

We have different gifts according to the grace given us. Worship by Being Available to Jesus

Classic Christianity – Gifts for Today – Part 1 – 7-07-26

~ “Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.” Romans 12:1

~ Allow God to use you as He sees fit. Allow Him to guide you on what to say, what to do, and trust in Him, who is living in you, to teach you ALL Truth. We have replaced true worship with imitation worship. We think going to “church” is worship, or singing songs, or raising our arms, or reading our Bibles, or even not doing things as though that is worship to God. But the Truth is that He alone guides us in everything, moment by moment of the day. When we place Faith in Him to do what He said He would do, in and through us, that is what is pleasing to God. The word is “Offer” or “Present” your body to God, because HE alone has made it Holy and pleasing to God. This is important for us to understand. We don’t make ourselves holy. He First Loved Us

Classic Christianity – God’s Absolute Love – 7-06-26

~ “There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. The one who fears has not been perfected in love.” 1 John 4:18

~ It’s only when we understand the perfect Love of God for us, that we can stop being in fear of everything, including that of fear of punishment from God. Because once we understand that when we are in Christ Jesus, and He is in us, He did not put a spirit of fear in us, but He placed His Spirit of Love in our hearts. And as He renews our minds with Truth, this gets rid of the fear we have in us and it is His love that gives us the ability for His Love to flow through us, because Love lives in us. Everything is related to understanding the perfect Love of God. And remember, it’s not that we love Him, but that He first Loves us!

The Holy Spirit Will Lead You in All Truth

Classic Christianity – Faith Revealed – 7-01-26

~ “However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come.” John 16:13

~ We are so quick to disregard the Spirit of Truth, and His teaching, even when He lives in true children of God. We depend on so many other things to convince us of Truth, instead of the number One person, the Spirit of Truth Himself. God living in us, is our Counselor, yet, we go running to Man counselors instead of depending on the One Counselor that has ALL the answers. We watch the News, as though that is Truth. We read history books, as though that is Truth. We depend on pastors and teachers, as though they know ALL Truth. We lean on our own understanding of things and instead of asking God for His wisdom and understanding in ALL matters we depend on Man. We give lip service to the word of God. We trust the teaching of scientists over that of the Scrptures. Love is the Greatest

Classic Christianity – Debt of Love – Part 2 – 6-30-26

~ “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13

~ 1 Corinthians chapter 13 teaches us about the perfect Love of God. This as we have said is something we cannot produce ourselves. It has to be something that God does in and through us. We have to learn how to abide in the Holy Spirit for everything, including the Love of God towards others department. Everyday life will show us that we can’t but He can. And the summary of the chapter is that Love is the Greatest of ALL things. And folks, when we understand how much God has and continues to Love us, and He is long suffering, not wishing anyone to perish, we are left thanking Him for everything. Because He Himself, Scripture says, God is Love, and He fulfilled the Law for us. That is the True indicator of how much He loves us.

Jesus is the Perfect Love of God

Classic Christianity – Debt of Love – Part 1 – 6-29-26

~ “For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. What matters is faith expressing itself through love.” Galatians 5:6

~ We constantly mess up in the love department with others as compared to God’s Love for us. And it is so important to remember, it’s only through the Holy Spirit flowing in and through us, can we bear the Fruit of Love ourselves. He is the vine and we are the branches. We cannot produce Love on our own. As much as the flesh wants to say, “look how good I am doing,” it completely fails in the God Love department. Only through abiding in God’s love for us, can we begin to allow His Love to flow through us, as we respond to others.

So don’t beat yourself up when you cannot produce Love, because no one can produce Love as God is always Love in pure form. Stand firm in the grace of God, and allow Him to teach you to trust in Him for all things, even in the Love department. For He will constantly be renewing your mind, and you will know when you respond in the flesh, and you will also know when you have responded in the Spirit.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
