Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P489 (11-07-19)

Synopsis

An often asked question is for help finding a church in their area that is preaching truth. Sadly, this is becoming harder and harder even today. More and more people are staying at home and if they are fortunate, they are meeting in homes with like-minded people who love the truth of the word of God. They want to be in a place where they can be mutually encouraged by one another’s faith and to be guarded from error and walk free.

To those looking for truth, often times they do not know where to look. Yet God gave us His word so we can know the truth. But people are led astray to look for truth in the wrong places, or to form doctrine from books that are not even canon. The canon is the truth as determined within the first hundred years as to the books that are inspired of God, the scriptures, the 66 book of the bible we hold in our hands today. It is dangerous to form doctrine, the foundation of truth, from sources other than God’s word. Yet today, when you go to many churches, what they call bible studies are not really bible studies, but book studies.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Book of Romans P9 (11-06-19)

Synopsis

In this world we live in, of political correctness, there is a strong pull to cave into the thinking of the world. You also have television that tries to convince you how fun something is. You have the soap operas and the commercials after big events such as the Super Bowl. All these influences that tempt us to not hold onto the knowledge of the truth. But we are instructed in scripture to hold onto truth.

So Bob shares truth from the scriptures. Currently we are studying Romans 1:28-32. This is what God says about these matters, of what perversion is, such as homosexual activity, and how it forms in the human heart.

We see someone who is caught in sin, a sin as devastating as homosexuality. Now, it is sin because that is what God calls it. God calls it perversion. Adultery is sin. Worry is sin. A Christian can be caught up in any sinful behavior, even the sin of homosexuality. All that it takes is to listen to the voice of Satan and give into a lie that this is something I have never done. You hear the deceiving voice, “Oh, what fun it might be”.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Book of Romans P8 (11-05-19)

Synopsis

So have you ever been called a bigot because you told someone who has identified himself as a homosexual that what he is doing is perversion? Have you bought into the lie that those who choose to partner up with someone of the same sex is an alternate lifestyle? If you are truly going to help someone, do you tell them the truth? You never want to get to the point in your own life that you call something other than what God calls something. If God calls it perversion, it is perversion. If God calls it sin, it is sin.

Do you want to know the truth? Are you willing to listen to truth? If not, then have you decided to not hold onto the knowledge of the truth? If so, then your foolish mind has become darkened. If this is you, realize that God loves you. He does not accept or approve of your behavior. He let you get caught up in this life because that is what you chose of your own free will. But God has provided a solution for you, a better way to live. Are you willing to come into the light.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Book of Romans P7 (11-04-19)

Synopsis

Are you ashamed of the gospel? There is no need to be ashamed. Why? It is the power of God unto salvation of all men. The gospel of righteousness in Christ Jesus is the only way man is to to be saved from God’s wrath. The righteousness of God has now been revealed. Paul also describes this wrath of God that is being revealed. Follow along in Romans 1:18-27, as Bob continues sharing from the book of Romans.

Bob shares also from Genesis 2, the origin of this wrath of God against sin. He explains how sin entered this world and what happened to the first created human beings on earth, of Adam and Eve in the garden, and the consequence of death to all men because of sin. He explains how the root of sin is the suppression of truth. Man suppresses truth in their unrighteousness and wickedness. From Romans, we come to understand this futile thinking of man that leads to greater and greater depravity. Man is born dead to God, born alive to this world but dead to God.

Their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P488 (11-01-19)

Synopsis

Several callers asked common questions that people wrestle with today. How should I pray? Should I continually ask God for something over and over again? Should you wait and just trust God to work? How do I share the word of God, the gospel with my friends? Should I just let my actions speak louder than my words? What about persevering to the end? Is that what believers have to do to be sure they are saved? Is abortion sin? What if I am a believer and I have committed that sin? What do I do now?

Bob shares truth from scripture to help these callers in the situation they have found themselves. There is no sin that you and I as believers cannot commit. Like all of us, when we are ashamed of our sin, we want to hide, possibly out of fear of how others will respond to that sin. It is so important for us to recognize that those sins we commit, and will commit, had been placed on the back of God never to see them again, from His standpoint. He came to give you life. The Gospel is not getting your sins forgiven.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P487 (10-31-19)

Synopsis

Bob answers the common questions that are asked today. Many times people attend a certain denomination but do not check out if what is being taught is true. If you are born again, you have the Holy Spirit living in you. So now, you have the mind of Christ and can discern the things of God. But do you read God’s word so that your mind can be renewed? How do you know if Bob George, or whoever you listen to, is teaching you correctly? How do you know if your pastor or Sunday school or denominational persuasion is teaching you correctly? You cannot know if you do not open up the word of God and allow the Holy Spirit to teach you.

Many times we will let our children see something on television, listening to some self proclaimed experts, who proclaim things as if they are true. A parent came home to find out his 14 year old son being taken in on someone speaking from the gospel of Judas. First of all, we do not know who wrote the book of Judas. He certainly was not an apostle and was never quoted by Jesus.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
