The Spirit Has to Teach You the Meaning of the Word of God
~ The topic of Bible translations came up today. A caller wanted to know what bible translation she should use. There are many people that believe that the KJV is the only true bible to use out there. As though Jesus spoke in King James English and that the original writings were in King James English too. Keep in mind, that all bible translations have issues and that right there requires the Holy Spirit living in a believer to explain the true meaning of things, even in the original Greek or Hebrew languages. That is why we need to depend upon the Holy Spirit to teach us all truth. We need God’s discernment living in us to guide us into the meaning of the word of God and to correct us on our understanding of even the actual words and their proper meanings.
