God is Not a Forgiveness Vending Machine

~ Most people believe the lie of ongoing forgiveness by God. They refuse to place faith in the finished work of Jesus on the cross and even calling Jesus a liar by their very actions. They wrongly believe and teach that 1 John 1:9 means to ask for forgiveness from God. First off, the word confess in the Greek means to agree with God. It never meant to ask for forgiveness. Yet that is still how the word confess is improperly understood in the world today and the worst offenders of that false teaching is within the organized church. Most people believe they plop in their prayer requests to God for forgiveness and out magically pops forgiveness by God. They even believe in several types of forgiveness, “positional forgiveness” and “experiential forgiveness” or whatever terms people are assigning to the various forms of forgiveness being taught today. ~ The topic of Bible translations came up today. A caller wanted to know what bible translation she should use. There are many people that believe that the KJV is the only true bible to use out there. As though Jesus spoke in King James English and that the original writings were in King James English too. Keep in mind, that all bible translations have issues and that right there requires the Holy Spirit living in a believer to explain the true meaning of things, even in the original Greek or Hebrew languages. That is why we need to depend upon the Holy Spirit to teach us all truth. We need God’s discernment living in us to guide us into the meaning of the word of God and to correct us on our understanding of even the actual words and their proper meanings. ~ If we are in Christ Jesus, and He is in us (born again of the Spirit), then we are told that we have the mind of God living in us. But here is the thing, we have to depend on Him for all understanding of everything and for the teaching of all truth. Even those that are in Christ Jesus, they still tend to listen to their flesh, listening to the teaching of men, and listening to the world for truth, instead of allowing Him (the Holy Spirit living in us) to teach us ALL truth. ~ We are told in Scripture that Jesus reconciled us to himself and is no longer counting our sins against us. Most people do not believe that. Even so called “Christians” don’t believe that either. Those that fight this and do not hear the Holy Spirit talking to them, maybe the reason is because they are not really a child of God and are not truly born again of the Spirit of God in the first place. We are also told in the Scriptures that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. Yet people discount that verse of Scripture too, and say “yeah but.” It never ends with these people. They hardly hear with their ears and thus if they would, they would repent (a total turn) and would be saved. They really don’t believe that Jesus is the way, that Jesus is the truth, and Jesus is the life, and they certainly show by their fruits that they don’t believe that no man comes to the Father except through Jesus. For they keep on believing the lies of Satan and the teaching of man rather than the teaching of God. Most people don’t have their identity in being a child of God. Most have it in their religion and what their pastor says to them on Sunday or Saturday mornings.
