The Mystery of God

Classic Christianity Radio (02-27-19) – The Mystery of God Part 3

Bob George continues sharing from Ephesians a mystery that has now been revealed to the Gentiles. In this mystery is the gospel message of God’s grace, applicable to all men, Hebrew and Gentile, that in Christ all will be made holy and blameless before God. The wall of hostility between Hebrews and Gentiles has been set aside.

Romans 3:9-12
9 What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Hebrews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin. 10 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; 11 there is no one who understands; there is no one who  seeks God. 12 All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.”

Romans 3:21-23
21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Hebrew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Forgave You - Thank You

Classic Christianity Radio (02-26-19) – The Mystery of God Part 2

Bob George continues teaching from the book of Ephesians concerning a mystery that the Gentile is saved the same way as the HEBREW, by faith in Jesus Christ. God planned before the creation of the world that in Him we were chosen to be made holy and blameless. Jesus Christ is the object of our faith. Sin entered the world through one man, Adam, and death through sin, so death came to all men because all sinned.

Romans 5:12
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned

Sin, the cause of death, had to be solved for man to have new life, to be made holy and blameless. Only God is perfectly holy and blameless.

Psalm 99:5
Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy.

So what man needs is the very life of God. The problem of sin was solved by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Now, man is free to come to Jesus Christ for life. God was pleased to do this for man and lavished His grace on those who put their faith in Him.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Holly from Brownsville, Oregon asked a question on behalf of her husband in regards to Hebrews 6:4-6. What does it mean to be partakers of the Holy Spirit and then to fall away? Dominic from Arlington Texas asked clarification on Revelation 3:5. Who is being referred to in the passage that says He will not blot out your name from the book of life. Is everyone already in the book of life and then those who fail to come to Christ are blotted out? The short answer is that only those who have the Holy Spirit living in then, who are born again, are in the book of life, and their names will never be blotted out.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Bob George (12-18-18)

Bob George shares from the synoptic gospels, helping people have confidence in God’s word for truth, for the things written down for us were through eyewitnesses of Jesus Christ. The writers of the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, were men who have been with and have seen Jesus. When someone ponders over God’s word, great news is made known to man through the work of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ did something for man he could never do for himself. Amazingly, man must simply believe in what Jesus said he came to do and has now been accomplished. Jesus came to save mankind from his sins and man must simply believe in what God said he came to do and did. From reading the account from Luke, what can we learn about simple faith, comparing and contrasting the response of Zechariah to an angel’s announcement of the birth of John the Baptist with the response of Mary to an angel’s announcement of the birth of Jesus Christ? What implication can be drawn to Mary’s faith to us today in regards to the gospel message of salvation in Jesus completed work? What role does man play in regard to salvation?… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
