Taken Away Forever

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Your Identity in Christ P56 (07-19-22)

Jesus Did Not Atone For Sin ~ He Took Away Sin

The majority of pastors and teachers are teaching that Jesus atoned for the sins of the whole world. That is a lie. Jesus did not atone for sin. He did not cover sins like the blood of bulls and goats. Jesus took away the sins of the whole world and took them away from the eyes of God to never see them again. So you say, well then, does that mean everyone is saved? No. Salvation is not getting your sins forgiven. Salvation is LIFE. His Life coming into the believer when a person places faith in Jesus, God in the flesh, who took away their sins on the cross. Believe it. Place faith in Him. Stop placing faith in your asking for ongoing forgiveness.

Jesus is The Righteousness of God - Have Faith in Him

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Your Identity in Christ P55 (07-18-22)

Understanding Our Justification in Christ Jesus

In today’s lesson, Bob explains what our justification means in Christ Jesus.

Justification deals with the entirety of what salvation is all about, which is, which includes certainly the forgiveness of sins and the taking away of sin, which we still don’t understand in many instances. But even more importantly is the imputation of the righteousness that has to come to us from God. And therefore being declared righteous in the sight of God, we are now totally justified in the sight of God. Now we have this misconception that if I could just be declared innocent that I’d be neat. In other words, if I never sinned again, or if somebody could say Bob, I’m gonna treat you as if you’ve never sinned, you’d be wonderful. No, I wouldn’t. I’d still be a sinner, I would still be a forgiven sinner.

Understanding Our Identification of Being in Christ Jesus

In today’s lesson, Bob gives an example of marriage and the identification we have when we are married vs that of being a single person. Many times people get married, and they still maintain the attitude of singleness in their head. They take the attitude of not considering the needs of the mate, and only worry about their own self.

How does this relate to being married to Jesus? Well, when we understand what Jesus did for the church, that He loves us perfectly, and that He serves us with love and grace in our time of need, then we likewise, when in a marriage also, we can serve one another in love when you have two people who are in Christ Jesus themselves. They have oneness in a marriage where both are in Christ Jesus.

Jesus Sets us Apart

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Your Identity in Christ P53 (07-12-22)

Everyone in Christ Jesus He Calls Us His Brothers and Sisters!

We are continuing in our study of a Closer Look at Your Identity in Christ. Bob continues the teaching in sharing a key part of the understanding that not only did we receive a full inheritance as a child of God in Christ Jesus, but that Jesus also inherited us. Now, that is just amazing, the Love that God has for us, to call us sons and daughters of God. We who are in Christ Jesus, are the brothers and sisters of Jesus himself. We are part of His family, and He inherited us!

Hebrews 2:11
11 Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.

Jesus Has Made You Holy and Perfect

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Your Identity in Christ P52 (07-11-22)

God Has Made You Holy (Set Apart) Forever in the Sight of God in Christ Jesus

The original words of Scripture such as (sanctified and holy) are important to understand. If our understanding of the words written in the Scriptures are wrong, we will have a wrong understanding of God. God made us holy. He set us apart for all those in Christ Jesus. You can’t make yourself holy anymore than you could redeem yourself. God is the one who did it all for you. He set you apart for His purpose. Now rejoice in that. Thank God for that. Be who you are, set apart. Quit calling God a liar by continually asking for what He has already done, and instead rejoice in all aspects of your new Identity in Christ Jesus. Thank God for who He has made you to be!

Hebrews 10:14
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
