Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P509 (02-06-20)
Often times people have called into the Classic Christianity radio program with questions to help them know how to apply teaching or to get clarification on teaching they have heard that seems to conflict with what the Lord is beginning to teach them. Others simply call to thank Bob for the teaching of truth that has helped them to walk free of legalistic teaching, and want to encourage Bob to continue teaching truth.
More often than not, Bob will explain more thoroughly about the New Covenant we are under. Often times people will read something out of the gospels, such as Matthew, Mark, Luke or John, or the book of Acts, and struggle understanding what it means. The starting point to understand truth is to first of all be born again, having the Spirit of God living in you. Then as you read God’s word, you allow the Holy Spirit to reveal truth to you.
The common mistakes people make are to read one scripture verse, taken out of its context, and try to explain or make up what it means. That is called leaning on your own understanding, and … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P453 (7-05-19)
Bob received a call by Patsy, who wanted guidance or reassurance in regards to actions she had taken with a granddaughter who had chosen to live a lesbian lifestyle. Bob reassured her that what Patsy did was in accordance with truth and love for her granddaughter. You do not have to be a believer to know that the actions of your granddaughter is sin. Bob explains Romans 12 in regards to this kind of perverse mind and also the actions taken by the apostle Paul in regards to a similar sexual perversion that occurred in the midst of the believers in 1 Corinthians. So Patsy did what was right to send her granddaughter back to her parents because of her persistent rebellion. Bob and Patsy were in agreement in the truth on this.
“You set a standard and tell her the truth in regards to Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ loves you and he was raised to offer you eternal life. He did not create you a depraved pervert. That came from your own choice. But I am not going to have that behavior flaunted in our own home. When you flaunt … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 18 (05-08-19)
Bob George shares again the good news of the gospel, sharing truth from scriptures that he has compiled into a little booklet titled, “Born Free”. What is our part, as believers in Christ?
2 Corinthians 5:20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
Recall that which Christ has done for us, the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:18-19 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
We are saved by His life, the cross was not an end in itself, but a means of accomplishing the end – that of restoring life that had been lost through sin.
Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 17 (05-07-19)
Bob George answers the question, “What is the gospel?”. Starting from 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Bob explains that Jesus died, was buried and was raised from the dead and appeared to you. This is the gospel that saves you, with nothing added to it. The gospel that saves is the message of what Christ has done to take away the consequences of sin, which is death, by the gift of God, which is life. Bob wrote a booklet titled , “Born Free”, that explains the gospel message. There are five main thoughts Bob shares concerning the gospel message.
Man’s problem : Man is spiritually dead and in need of life
God’s Solution : God has provided life through the resurrection of Jesus Christ
Before life could be given, sins had to be forgiven (taken away)

Classic Christianity – Book of John Part 16 (05-06-19)
Bob continues in the gospel of John, where he left off in chapter 4. He summarizes Jesus encounter with the Samaritan woman as an introduction to the topic of evangelism and starts up again where Jesus reconnects with his disciples, telling them the fields are ripe for harvest. Evangelism is reaching out in love with the truth of the gospel message. The gospel message is all about what Jesus came to earth to do and did. As believers, we share the same gospel of good news we believed and received, which is the same gospel that the apostle Paul preached. We long to share that message with others. Bob George explains what the gospel message is beginning with 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 and several other scriptures. In one sentence, the gospel is a message of how man is saved from the consequences of sin, the wages of sin, which is death by the gift of God, which is eternal life. He explains the reason he wrote the “Born Free” gospel booklet in the order it is in. He first sets the stage for understanding man’s need for life by sharing … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
