It cannot be emphasized enough to study the bible on your own, allowing the Holy Spirit to teach you. That is the only way you can be certain that you are hearing truth. It is common among the world today for people to rely on what their favorite teacher says as true, whether it be Bob George, John MacArthur, Calvin or Luther, or whoever you happen to esteem. But, how do you know if they are teaching you correctly? They might be but they might not be. How would you know? Recognize also that cults, such as the Catholics and the Mormons today, the legalists, like the Jews the apostle Paul confronted in Galatia, and the gnostics confronted by the apostle John, will twist scripture in teaching men. So many have been led astray by such teaching. But, if you, who have the Spirit in you, and have grown in discernment, be on guard and recognize error when you hear it. When you have a question on a hard to understand topic, one thing you can be sure of, the answer has to be in agreement with what salvation is, of what the gospel is. A good question to answer first is this: Do you believe that Jesus took away the sins of the entire world? Now, is your answer to that based on what the Holy Spirit has revealed to you through the scriptures, or are you merely repeating what you heard from a denominational persuasion? Your answer to that question will determine how you are going to interpret other scriptures? Consider the following passages of scripture. I will list some verses, but go back and read the entire verses in their context. If you have the Holy Spirit living in you, then you can rely on the Spirit to reveal to you the meaning. Based on these scriptures, what do you believe these scriptures mean? Romans 5:10, 1 John 2:2, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Hebrews 9:22, Hebrews 9:12, Hebrews 9:26, and Hebrews 10:10. Synopsis

Now that you are a new creation in Christ, born again with the Spirit of God living in you, do not let sin reign in your mortal body. Whereas before you were in Christ, you were born dead spiritually, and that by Adam’s choice, now you have the choice to choose life. You chose life and are born again. Now, choose to continue to walk in Him.

Can you choose to let sin reign in your mortal body? Yes. You let the evil desires, prompted by the flesh, Satan or the world to deceive you (1 John 2:15-17). You have been living in error because of past thinking you had when you were an unbeliever or you choose to believe a lie that you will get something desirable, yet in the end, you will only find yourself enslaved again.

So have you believed a lie that you cannot quit smoking? Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is living in you? So does it make sense to put smoke in your body? Synopsis

Let the Holy Spirit reveal truth to you as you read the 5^th chapter of Romans. Paul answers a common question: What is the purpose of the law? Have you come to understand that the law was never designed for you to be made righteous before God? It is only through the law that you are conscious of sin. The law is to reveal sin in you so that you might seek a savior. There is only one savior, Jesus Christ. He is the only one who has no sin of his own, being God in the flesh, and the only one who has a life to lay down only to raise it up again.

But who has understood what Jesus came to do? Many know that Jesus died, was buried and rose again. But just knowing that is like knowing Jesus as a man in history. Even Satan knows that Jesus died, but that certainly made no difference in the heart of Satan. What is the condition of your heart today? To those who are lost, I make this appeal. Synopsis

So this condition of spiritual death happened in the garden of Eden. There was a war raging in heaven between Satan and God. Satan, who deceived Eve, and caused Adam and Eve to sin, thought he had won. To be clear, Adam, of his own free will, chose to decide for himself what is right and wrong, what is good and evil, independent of God.

Now Satan thought he destroyed God’ creation, forever. All mankind since Adam are born very much alive to the world, and with free will, but dead to God. That is why man has a longing in his heart, and ask questions like: “Why am I here?”, “Is there more to life than this meaningless life I have?”, or “Why do I feel so empty inside?”

The story does not have to end there, in the death of mankind. God, full of love and compassion for mankind, had a plan. Through the lineage of the Jews, through the line of David, He sent His only Son, Jesus, into this world. Jesus is God in the flesh, a person of the Trinity. Every now and then, someone calls, asking how to be saved. Wayne had been listening to Classic Christianity Radio about the condition of the heart. He knew he was not saved and wanted to be saved. So he asked to call about how he can be saved. Listen as Bob George explains the good news of the gospel. In summary, salvation is being saved from the consequences of sin, which is death, by the gift of God, which is the resurrected life of Christ Jesus. You place your faith in what Christ Jesus alone accomplished for you through his death, burial and resurrection.
