For in the Gospel the Righteousness of God is Revealed! 

“For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” Romans 1:17

A righteousness that is by faith from first to last! Do you believe it? Or, are you still trying to live in the energy of the flesh? Here’s the thing folks, you are never ever going to get that flesh cleaned up. It rears it’s ugly head time and time again. The things I don’t want to do, I do and the things I want to do, I don’t do. You can’t carry it out. Paul found this out for himself. He found out that there was nothing good in his flesh. Every time he thought about himself, he realized that that was the flesh talking to him. The flesh loves me, myself and I. It focuses on self. And it loves self righteousness.

Are You as Perfect As Jesus Christ?

If you were asked, “Are you as perfect as Jesus Christ?”, what would be your answer? Are you in Christ? Are you in Him? If you say “yes” to that, what would your answer be, according to the word of God? Have you understood the New Covenant of God’s grace? So let us look at some passages of scriptures so we can come to a conclusion. What did God say?

Hebrews 10:14
14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

Do we believe what God said, or are we like Adam in the garden of Eden, who did not believe what God said. “I know God said to not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but I say it is good for me.” What happened to Adam? He sinned and he died, just as God had said would happen.

Darkness and Light Refers to Lost and Saved in Scripture

Much of the so-called Christian community have been taught that you can be in and out of fellowship with God, either meaning that you can lose your salvation or you can lose fellowship with God when you sin, and when you lose fellowship, you have to confess those sins in order to get back in fellowship. But let us focus in on this one passage of scripture, where light and darkness are used.

1 John 1:5-7
5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

In this passage in 1 John, there is this contrast between light and darkness, and whenever you see light and darkness in the scriptures, it refers to saved and lost, respectively.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Have you ever been tempted to sin? Have you been ensnared and trapped in sin? If we do not guard our hearts, Satan has a way of deceiving us, and it starts out small and innocent enough, and we rationalize it away, then before long you are ensnared. Many a person has stolen money from a college, a business or a ministry and then found themselves in a debt they cannot pay. They try to keep that hidden but are eventually found out. So there is a predicament that occurs for all parties involved and affected, and a solution has to be worked out, for that debt has to be paid.

There was a story of a young man who lied about having obtained his degree, but he failed his last course in college. He had already been offered a job in lieu of getting a college degree. In the world today, you may hear people say, “I am a Christian too” But the word Christian has a different connotation of meaning to different people. You used to hear people say that if you are born in America, you are a Christian because this is a Christian nation. Mormons, Protestants and Catholics all say they are Christian, yet they all have different doctrinal beliefs. Others will say that they are a Christian because they were born into a Christian home. Then you may hear or read about “COEXIST”, as if all religions of the world believe the same way, or if they do not, it is just minor doctrinal differences. A person will say that all we need to do is just love one another. That we just all need to get along.
