Classic Christianity – Maturity in Christ – Part 3 – 4-08-26

~ Our fathers disciplined us for a short time as they thought best, but God disciplines us for our good, so that we may share in His holiness. Hebrews 12:10

~ Keep your eyes fixed upon Jesus, not what you are doing for Jesus but what He did for you, and is doing in and through you. And remember, it is not you or me that is doing it, but it is Christ Jesus doing it in and through you. Don’t think of yourself more highly than you ought. For we are each servants of the Lord and make our bodies available to Him to be used by Him as He instructs each and everyone of us who are in Christ Jesus. He directs our paths. If He tells you NOT to do something, don’t do it. Yes there may be ramifications in a work setting, if you don’t do something, but if it goes against what the Holy Spirit would have you do, see to it that you listen to Him. The Holy Spirit is Telling You Jesus is God

~ Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? If you do not experience discipline like everyone else, then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. Furthermore, we have all had earthly fathers who disciplined us, and we respected them. Should we not much more submit to the Father of our spirits and live?” Hebrews 12:7-9

~ The suffering we are experiencing today is for our discipline in the Lord. He is training us, teaching us to depend on Him in spite of the suffering we face, sometimes on a daily basis with what is happening all around us. And how does that discipline manifest itself? Through the teaching of the Holy Spirit in our spirit to the Truth that is happening today. He shows His children the Truth of what is going on simply by asking Him to reveal ALL Truth to you. And lean not on your own understanding of things today. Because your flesh is corrupted by the things of the world. Only in the spirit is your mind renewed. ~ And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children? He said, “My child, don’t make light of the LORD’s discipline, and don’t give up when he corrects you.” Hebrews 12:5

~ The Lord disciplines (trains us) in so many ways today. He provides us his word. And most importantly, for those in Christ Jesus, He provides us His Holy Spirit in us, to teach us the meaning of His Word. For it is through the Holy Spirit who teaches us ALL TRUTH. And that is God’s discipline upon us, because we are His sons of God. He is teaching us ALL about Himself, about ourselves, and the Lies of the world around us. And folks, never think you know it ALL. Because He has so much to show us of the lies we are believing in today, that it unfathomable to comprehend without the Holy Spirit showing you directly. And part of the discipline, is learning to Trust in Him for ALL TRUTH, and to NOT lean on our own understanding of anything today. The Holy Spirit Teaches us ALL Truth

~ Here is a key point to understanding Truth, and that is to depend on the Holy Spirit to teach you ALL TRUTH. Man, any man could be wrong in one area of the scripture and not even realize it. As Bob has said in the past, “I could be wrong, you could be wrong, we both could be wrong, but we both cannot be right.” Those are some good words of wisdom to remember. We are NOT to lean on our own understanding of anything today. We are not to even depend on what others say about the word of God (regardless of how much we respect them). We are to read the word of God for ourselves, and ask the Holy Spirit to give us wisdom in our understanding of everything.

For example, most people today, regardless of denomination, teach ongoing forgiveness by God, as though if you ask God to forgive you on an ongoing basis, or even at the very first time basis, that God is going to forgive you, all the while ignoring the fact, that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins by God.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

We Live By Faith in Christ Jesus in The Present, Faith From First to Last

~ The thing that pleases God is faith. We can only live our life at this very moment in time. Our tomorrow is in God’s hands. Our very next moment is also in God’s hands. That’s why the word of God says it is Faith from First to Last. Only God knows the exact future of what is going to happen and when it is going to happen and how it is going to happen. When Jesus, God in flesh came down here and became as a man, he showed us how a man was to live in total dependency on God the Father moment by moment of His life. Furthermore, our righteousness is not based on what we do or don’t do, but by Faith in the righteous One. For only He and He alone is righteous. And if I am going to be found righteous in the sight of God, I am going to have to be found in HIM! And that only occurs by Faith in Him to begin with. I couldn’t help thinking as we’re beginning the broadcast today, that we’ve said so many times that in my opinion, the fastest way to grow spiritually is in a small group home Bible study. A number of years ago here in this country, I had the opportunity to talk to, about probably I think it was around 16 pastors from Britain who were over here at a conference. And as I went around speaking to them, I asked them the question, where did you really grow? And when did you grow in your spiritual experience? And the one pastor said, well, I was in college, and I was in a small group Bible study and that’s where I grew. What about you?
