How to Live by Faith

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P778 (10-13-22)

We Live By Faith in Christ Jesus in The Present, Faith From First to Last

~ The thing that pleases God is faith. We can only live our life at this very moment in time. Our tomorrow is in God’s hands. Our very next moment is also in God’s hands. That’s why the word of God says it is Faith from First to Last. Only God knows the exact future of what is going to happen and when it is going to happen and how it is going to happen. When Jesus, God in flesh came down here and became as a man, he showed us how a man was to live in total dependency on God the Father moment by moment of His life. Furthermore, our righteousness is not based on what we do or don’t do, but by Faith in the righteous One. For only He and He alone is righteous. And if I am going to be found righteous in the sight of God, I am going to have to be found in HIM! And that only occurs by Faith in Him to begin with. And so, … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

Perfect Love Drives Out Fear

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P16 (01-04-22)

Perfect Love Drives Out All Fear

Do you really love God? People are living in fear today, and those that are living in fear are not really loving God. People think they love God, yet they don’t know the Love of God. They don’t know that God loves them. They are still trying to perform for God so in turn God would do something for them.

When we understand God’s love for us, it changes our world completely. We may understand God’s love for us when we first come to Him for salvation (eternal life), but then we lose sight of it for our daily living. We get on our own performance track, thinking that we’ve got to do something in order for God to do something ongoing with us. We need to learn that is NOT how God deals with us at all. God is love, and His Love lives in us. This is key to our understanding and walking in the love of God.

1 John 4:16-21
16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love.

God Jesus So Loved the World

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Finality of The Cross P8 (08-24-21)

Love is What Motivated God’s Provision of New Life for You and Me

Jesus Christ is the life we need. We are to rest in Christ’ finished work for us. Forgiveness of sins is over. All punishment was placed on Jesus, with none left for you. That provision for sin allows us to freely approach God, for there is now no fear of punishment. We can come to Him to receive what He really came to give us, eternal life, the same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead to be placed in you forever. So let that perfect love cast out fear so you can love one another with the same love God has given you. God’s love preceded His provision for forgiveness for sin.

Many of us have grown up in church and heard the song sung, Amazing Grace. Have you pondered over how the grace of God surely is amazing? When church leadership incorrectly teaches people to ask God to forgive you when you sin or to keep short accounts with God, what is amazing about begging God to forgive you? … Listen to Broadcast & Read More

The World’s Sin is Unbelief in Jesus

Classic Christianity – Bob George – Callin P406 (01-18-19)

Bob George RadioWelcome to Classic Christianity Radio with Bob George. Let’s now join Bob George as he offers practical biblical insights as he helps people experience faith, hope and love in Jesus Christ.

Bob receives calls from several people about asking for forgiveness. They are hearing from friends or those in church that say you need to ask God for forgiveness whenever you sin. Bob explains how this kind of thinking comes from denominational teaching and often from a misinterpretation of 1 John 1:9. Bob explains the false teaching of the Gnostic that were there at the time these scriptures were being written and that group, along with the Judaizers, is the group of unsaved people the Apostle John is initially talking to. In essence, John is saying: “If you ever come to your senses, and I doubt if you ever will, but just in case you do, Jesus Christ, who is God in the flesh, he is faithful and just to have forgiven you of your sins and to have cleansed you of all unrighteousness. Bob says that for anyone to believe both that your sins have already been forgiven by … Listen to Broadcast & Read More
