Jesus Forgave You

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P428 (4-04-19)

Several callers asked questions that showed their lack of discernment of scriptures. More often than not they are hearing incorrect teaching from the pulpit yet failing to check out what has been clearly revealed through simply reading of the word of God. Other times they are simply growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ but had not quite grasped truth from God’s word. By someone simply pointing out the meaning of God’s word, by asking simple questions from God’s word, the answer is more evident and clear. What also is beneficial is to have a clear understanding of law and grace and that everything written down in the word of God is not written to you. Those things written down by the prophets were often written to those still under an Old Covenant since Jesus had not yet come during their life time to replace the Old Covenant of law with a New Covenant of grace. Yet the prophets, by revelation of the Holy Spirit, also spoke of things to come and to be fulfilled in Jesus Christ. A person must be born again to discern spiritual truth.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

It is Finished

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P426 (3-28-19)

Bob George received calls from people across the country. Many thank him for sharing the truth that he shared so clearly from God’s word. Cecilia called and was very appreciative of Bob’s clear teaching. She was very enthusiastic of sharing all that the Lord taught her. She had been sharing with her friends about the finality of the cross and God’s unconditional love and forgiveness. Bob and Cecilia encouraged each other in the Lord. For the sake of the listeners on the air, Bob shared again what Cecilia already knew from the Spirit, that we are responders to God’s love through his finished work of the cross. We do not go to God asking for forgiveness every time we sin. We simply say “thank you” for His eternal sacrifice for sin that He performed once and for all. When Jesus shed His blood on the cross, he took away all the sins of the world; past, present and future sins. Indeed, all our sins were future when he died. Since his death, Jesus will never again shed his blood for his sacrifice was eternally sufficient to pay for the just requirement of death for all the sins of mankind.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P425 (3-22-19)

Bob George received calls from several callers who had questions about forgiveness, dealing with bitterness, understanding the assurance of forgiveness from God, and in regards to being single-minded on the truth of God’s word. As a believer, a new creation in Christ, you can be assured all your sins are forgiven, never to remembered anymore in the sight of God, and you have eternal life. You were never saved by your actions in the first place. You became a believer when you placed your faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ alone, through his death, burial and resurrection. Furthermore, all your sins were in the future when he died. Yet, it is so common for believers to be narrowly focused on what seemingly unclear scripture and get overcome with anxiety on such things. In the sight of God your sins will never be taken into account. Satan, though, will accuse you before the throne of God when you do sin. And when he does, Jesus Christ is right there reminding Satan of what was done for us by Christ. Jesus C Christ died to pay for your sin. There is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Jesus Forgave You - All Sins Taken Away

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P422 (3-14-19)

Several callers asked very personal and sensitive questions in regards to marital decisions and sexual temptations of the flesh. First, there is no sin except that which is common to man. God also does not lead anyone into temptation but rather does not let you be tempted beyond what you are able to endure and with the temptation, he provides a way out. So it is unusual that people sin, for man is weakened by the sinful flesh.

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

There is always a way out. One significant way out is the renewing of your mind with truth (John 8:32). People are bound in sin, or living unproductive lives, because they are thinking in error. How do you think about the opposite sex? Is your thinking in line with how God thinks of them? If the other woman is a believer, is she not a part of the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27)?… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Forgiven

Bob answers common questions by several callers. There is no sin accept that which is common to man and all of us are growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. So as the church, born again with an indwelling holy Spirit, we are to encourage and help one another as the Holy Spirit has taught and helped us. That is the motive of love behind all that Bob has labored for the benefit of the saints.

Jessie asked advice on whether it was okay to ask God for forgiveness. He never knew his earthly father and so was trying to discern how to relate to his heavenly Father. Bob George graciously shared that asking God for forgiveness is not exercising faith because Jesus already forgave us all our sins when he died 2000 years ago in our place. We now interact with God on the basis of grace, not on the basis of sin and death. You can talk to him about your sin so as to get counsel in how to live in the new life of faith He has given you. Bob elaborated on the issue of forgiveness and new life in Christ Jesus. Bob summarized by saying, “Come to the finality of the cross so you can deal with your life.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P420 (3-07-19)

Several callers called Bob George for insight into common questions many of us have asked before or thought about. What is humility? Can I make myself humble? What does it mean that Jesus intercedes for me when all my future sins are forgiven? Is the King James version the only reliable translation today? How did translations come about and how are they different? If Adam never ate of the knowledge of the tree of good and evil, what would have happened? What would you share with some one who says that we are still under law today? In John 15, what does it mean if we fail to remain on the vine? Is it really saying we will be thrown into hell?

Andy called to ask about humility. Humility is not something we strive to become or get. Life circumstances humbles us, as we are weak in our natural selves, and attitudes in our hearts sometimes are not in line with who we are spiritually. When we look down at someone in our heart, the Spirit prompts us about our attitude that needs correction. So we are always under the Lord’s discipline, which is always for our good, and this is how we grow as a child of God.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
