Classic Christianity – Book of John p11 (11-05-18)

Bob George TeachingWelcome to Class Christianity Radio with Bob George on the clear, timeliness teaching on the complete forgiveness and unconditional love of Jesus, that transforms your life as you learn about God’s amazing love. Let’s join Bob as he continues sharing through the book of John. Currently, we are looking at John 4:28-54 concerning the Samaritan woman who shares her testimony to the local town and how through her testimony and the words of Jesus, many come to believe. Bob shares from these passages what is true evangelism and true discipleship. Evangelism is sharing the good news of Christ so someone is led to become a child of God by their expressed faith in the word of truth in the gospel, the message of good news. Discipleship is the exhortation and encouragement so someone comes to understand all that has been done for them by Jesus Christ and continues to grow in that new relationship as a child of God. There is no better way than learning from the Spirit of God what is the meaning of God’s word!

From this passage, Bob starts by sharing a sample prayer of someone who has faith.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Book of John p10 (10-31-18)

Bob George TeachingBob explains the gospel of good news by sharing numerous scriptures and discerning questions. He starts by sharing from 1 Corinthians 15:1-5, in regards to the necessity of Jesus death, burial, and resurrection, and asks the question, “What is the gospel?” He then shares examples of men who were quite successful in this world, but how futile their life is without Christ. He shares from the booklet he wrote titled “Born Free” that provides more details on the lives of these men and their tragic ending (https://bobgeorge.net/books-by-bob-george/born-free/). So man, without the life of Christ, tries to find meaning and purpose in occupation, worldly success, sexual encounters, friends, and all kinds of things, none of which fill the God-sized vacuum in their inner being. Man’s fundamental problem is that he is spiritually dead and in need of new life, God’s life.

God gave the first created man, Adam, the choice to depend on God for life. When one reads Genesis, one reads that he was told that if he should eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he will surely die (Genesis 2:17).… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Book of John p9 (10-30-18)

Bob George TeachingBob George continues teaching from the book of John, reminding people of the gospel that was preached to you. As believers, we have the wonderful privilege to share that same gospel message to others. He starts by sharing the mental roadblocks that prevents believers from sharing the greatest news ever. He reminds u again of how we would respond to truth when we were first lost in sin. Did we all accept the message upon first hearing? Some did. Others did not. So why do we not share? Sometimes we look to our insecurities, perceived lack of abilities in sharing truth, or even simply our fear of man in what they might think. Bob then shares some practical advice, from personal life experiences of God’s work in him, and finishes by sharing again what the gospel really is.

Bob George shares again the story of Jesus encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well and his testimony of how his unsaved preacher came to know Christ through a simple letter that touched his heart. Bob used the passage to explain how his friend, Charles Spurgeon, did not know God, but God knew all about the longing in his heart, his weakness in the flesh.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Book of John p8 (10-29-18)

Bob George TeachingBob George shares insights from Jesus encounter with the Samaritan woman in the book of John. He briefly retells the story with the primary focus on walking in the Spirit and being led of the Lord. He also shares the interaction between Jesus and His disciples, following Jesus return from talking with the Samaritan woman. He shares more fully about what it means to walk in Spirit and in truth, what it means to seek God and what is a believer’s reasonable act of service. He shares several examples of walking in the flesh from his observation of the religious world. He then shares a testimony of his early childhood and later coming to know Christ. He shares the tendency of all believers to have doubts and to be discouraged in their walk or in sharing truth. But one must realize you are believing a lie, as Satan does not want you to finish the race. Yet, God is at work to develop the believer. As we commit to the love of God and walk in His ways, results will come, for God is at work in you and through you and He will send you and provide a assignment specific for you.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Book of John p7 (10-24-18)

Bob George TeachingBob George continues teaching from the book of John. Bob shares what it means to born again, to have the Holy Spirit living in you, as John Baptist testified that Jesus would do. He also shares again some of the ways people have believed in error, following other doctrines and misplaced trust, believing in anything except Jesus Christ alone or even believing in Jesus plus something. Indeed, Jesus plus anything nullifies the finished work of Jesus Christ, and is really a false gospel one is believing. He also shares about those who only looked for what Jesus could do for them but had no change of heart, concerning who God is or even failing to recognize their own condition in sin to have a reason to come to believe. He shares a message Jesus told that should send chills to religious people who think so highly of themselves by the works they do, but fail to recognize Jesus and come to him for life and righteousness. Bob also shares the story in John concerning the testimony of a woman from Samaria, where you can see how a person comes out of darkness and into the light by hearing the words from the man from heaven, the words of God.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – Book of John p6 (10-23-18)

Bob George TeachingBob George continues teaching from the book of John. Bob George shares that Jesus is more than a man. He is the pre-existent one, God in the flesh. John the Baptist testifies of this by saying Jesus has come from heaven. John Baptist says that he speaks as one from the earth, but Jesus speaks about what he has seen and heard. The testimony of God, the message of new life that Jesus Christ proclaimed, had to come from heaven, yet no one accepts his testimony. The real question that needs to be answered is this: “Have you received life in Jesus Christ”? Bob George answers this question from various passages of scripture, explaining the condition of man and God’s provision in Jesus Christ. All men born in Adam are dead in sin, condemned already, and his greatest need is new spiritual life. God’s complete and total provision came to man in the gift of Jesus Christ. He explains more fully what Jesus accomplished in his death, burial, and resurrection and how that restored man to a relationship with the living God, requiring nothing of man but to believe the message from heaven.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
