All Men are Born Dead, Without the Spirit of God Living in Them

~ Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so also death was passed on to all men, because all sinned. Romans 5:12

If a person doesn’t know they are dead, why would they ever turn to Jesus for Life? It’s one thing to know that our sins have been forgiven at the cross, it’s something else to understand that we are ALL dead without the Life giver living inside us, the Holy Spirit of God, the One that gives us eternal life the moment we place faith in Him. No man is ever born physically by natural birth, alive spiritually. We were All born in the image of the fallen Adam, dead. And scripture is crystal clear on this. Thanksgiving P4 – Bob George (11-28-24)

Give Thanks to Jesus for His Love For Us

~ Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His loving devotion endures forever. Psalm 107:1

The love of Jesus endures forever. We have so much to be thankful for with Jesus. First off, God has taken care of the sin issue forever for us directly by Himself. And for those who are in Christ Jesus, He has given us Eternal Life that began the very day we placed faith in Him for what He did for us. His Life came to Live in us forever through the Holy Spirit, the Life giver. And as such, He will never separate from us no matter what. His Love endures forever and His Love lives in us directly too. Once we understand the truth of this, and understand that God wants to live His Life in and through us, it frees us up to rest in Him for everything. And once we understand that, we can thank God for EVERYTHING. So be transformed by the renewing of the mind, and allow His Spirit to teach us All things.

The Will of God is to Give Thanks to Him in All Things

~ Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

When we stop to think about where we are at today, we have so much to be thankful for. We are to give thanks to God for the things we do have, and not worry about the things that may or may not come to pass. We have no idea of what is going to happen in our future. However, what we do know is that our Jesus of today is going to be there with us in our future. And when we understand that this body of ours are all heading to the grave, but for those of us that are in Christ Jesus, we will NEVER die, for we will be eternally present with the Lord. So we are to give of ourselves, with thanksgiving in our heart to Him, and allow ourselves to be used by Jesus to guide us internally, moment by moment of each day. Each of us who are in Christ Jesus has been given a job to do today. That job begins with “believing in Jesus,” for that is the work of the ministry.

Thank Jesus For Everything

~ Our confession of faith means to thank Jesus for everything that he has done for us and for giving us life in Him too. Confession in Greek means to offer thanksgiving to God. When you are offering thanksgiving to God, you are agreeing with Him. You have accepted the fact that he forgave ALL your sins at the cross. You are accepting the fact that he rose from the dead. You are accepting the fact that the same Holy Spirit that gave Jesus life is the same Holy Spirit that gives you life. You are accepting the fact that Jesus now lives in you if you are in Christ Jesus and he is in you. You are accepting the fact that he wants to live his life in and through you. You are accepting the fact that you are the temple of God. You are accepting the fact that he has made you holy. You are accepting the fact that he will never leave you nor forsake you.
