The topic of prayer comes up in conversation with people many times today. People are told to pray this or pray that in corporate settings. Some are even telling people on television or radio to send their money in for their prayers to be heard by God, as though God is going to answer your prayers based on you sending money to someone else. Different groups of people have different ideas about prayer too. Most everyone today is focused on getting their prayer requests answered by God, and not listening to what God has to say to them in the first place. They are becoming their own god, as though they can push God’s buttons to do something based on something they say or do themselves. Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at The Reality of The Resurrection P12 (12-13-21)

God Makes a Believer a New Creation in Christ Jesus

God made man to be indwelt by God. He did not make man to be separated from God, but to have the Holy Spirit giving life to us. For when we come to Jesus, God in flesh, and place faith in Him, he exchanges our dead self and gives us His exchanged life in us. So that, it is no longer I that live but Christ (the one that gives life) lives in me.

Now we should realize and be basking in the fact that Jesus has taken all our sins away on the cross. All our sins were judged on the cross and the verdict was death. The wages of sin is death. It was not out of fellowship, but death!

But now, in Christ Jesus we have Life!

Galatians 2:20
²⁰ “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

How to Live by Faith

We often hear stories that when a person comes to Christ Jesus, and becomes a believer, that everything will be peaches and cream in their life. There are people that will teach you all kinds of lies in regards to worldly wealth or think and grow rich, as though Jesus is the name it and claim it, the go to God for everything in this life to be happy, wealthy and wise, and everyone will just love you for being a Christian. However, if a person is a witness for Christ Jesus, they may face persecution from the world. But fear not, for Jesus who is alive living in you, is greater than he that is in the world.

The first caller, Bob called from Denver Colorado. He became a Christian and lost all of his secular friends. He also lost a job, due to timing issues. He was feeling a bit down and wanted to be pointed in the right direction with some scripture verses.

Bob George shares some key verses of scripture and points to Truth.

The Wages of Sin is Death, But the Gift of God is Life

Most pastors are teaching a half gospel. Many teach that a person “gets” their sins forgiven when they ask God for it. Yet without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness (Hebrews 9:22). Jesus forgave your sins on the cross so that He would give you life, His eternal life when you place faith in Him. Forgiveness is found only in Christ Jesus. No one gets their sins forgiven today apart from Christ Jesus. The only thing a person can do is receive His forgiveness when you receive Him and He gives you eternal life the moment you place faith in Him.

Romans 5:9-11
⁹ Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! ¹⁰ For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! ¹¹ Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
