New Covenant Forgive One Another as God Has Forgiven You

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Law & Grace P46 (01-24-23)

The New Covenant ~ Freedom to Serve in Love

~ Forgive as the Lord Forgave You!

~ “You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.” Galatians 5:13

~ “So when Christ Jesus comes to invade your life, does he come to invade your life? To have taken away all of your sins never to see them again? bought you back from darkness into light. reconciled you justified you? Did he do all of those things so that we can continue doing in the energy of our flesh what we were doing before we are born again? In other words, did Christ come to live within you in order to lead you back into a life of lasciviousness? And that is absolutely idiotic. But Bob, that is what the average Christian believes today. And what I say the average Christian believes that is the objection that people have to our teaching. And quite frankly, it’s not our teaching, it’s right out of the Word of God. And that is the teaching of the finality of the cross.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Vine and Branches

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Law & Grace P45 (01-23-23)

Jesus Is The Vine We Are The Branches ~ Only Jesus Can Produce The Fruit

~ Jesus said: “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” John 15:5

~ “The question is, is very well put, because every command that Jesus ever commanded us is an impossibility for us to carry out in the energy of our flesh. It is a total impossibility. When it says to be holy, as your Father in heaven is holy, how are you going to carry that out? It talks about the fact of being perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect? How in the world are we going to carry that out? It talks about all of the things that Jesus taught, they are absolute standards of what what holiness is, and what perfection is, and what goodness is and everything connected with God. But it has nothing to do with us, in our fallen state. And so even though the command is there, you can you can approach a command of God in two different ways.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Propitiation - Jesus Took Away the Sins of the World

Classic Christianity – A Closer Look at Law & Grace P40 (01-10-23)

Jesus Forgave (Past Tense) The Sins of the Whole World!

~ “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” 1 John 2:2

~ Yet, so many people do not believe or teach this. They want to implement their own plan for forgiveness, instead of trusting in God and His plan of forgiveness and eternal life by faith in Him and His finished work on the cross. Jesus said it is FINISHED! Now believe it and receive His Eternal Life in you.

~ “In Him, in Jesus, who was a part of this master plan, in Jesus, we have redemption through his blood. We have been redeemed, bought back, redeemed through his blood. You note it does not say that we have been redeemed through our actions, but it’s through his action through his blood. In Him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of man’s confession? Is that what it says? No, no, no, that was not a part of God’s plan. We are redeemed and forgiven, in accordance with the riches of God’s plan, not ours.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Understanding What The Bible Means

Call-In Classic Christianity Radio – Bob George P796 (01-04-23)

Understanding What The Word God Says and What it Means Are Two Different Things

~ Chip: “Hey, a little quick background on me. Before I get to my question, I started listening to you back in 1993. And before that, I’ve been in Christ for about about four years. And I remember being so sincere in my faith, and I was just really living the Christian life in my own flesh and the energy of my own flesh. For example, I just remember memorizing about 300 Bible passages, and I really thought I was hot stuff. But the problem was, I didn’t have any an idea or understanding about what the New Covenant was. So I was just utterly confused about what they really meant. For example, I memorize a sin on the mountain really tried to learn how to live righteously. And in the Sermon on the Mount. What Jesus I think was doing in the Sermon on the Mount, it just killed me utterly, condemned me and the more that I would memorize that, the more that I just began to question my own salvation, and really just led me into being a double minded person.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Classic Christianity – A New Heart for a New Year Part 2 (01-03-23)

Attitudes of the Heart

Classic Christianity – A New Heart for a New Year Part 2 (01-03-23)

God Wants to Change The Attitudes of the Heart With His Spirit in You

~ “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 36:26

~ “Okay. So we have desires of the flesh, God desires of the Spirit, they’re in conflict with each other. Now what did he say there in regard to that? We are now to be made new in what? The attitude of what? Our minds. So how are you going to be made new by changing your actions? How are you going to be made new? Changing your mind. Do you realize, folks, there’s a lot of people who are non Christians acting and a lot better than us? Have you ever noticed that? I mean, on the outward actions, outward actions, you couldn’t tell the difference. You go over into some of the Muslim countries over there, you’ll see some pretty good behavior. If you don’t you get your hand cut off, you steal something, get your eyes plucked out if you look wrong.… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message

Faith Says Thank You to God

Classic Christianity – Christmas P5 (12-23-22)

Faith is Drawing Proper Conclusions ~ Jesus Forgave My Sins ~ Thank You God!

~ Faith says, “Thank You” to God. Faith is Not asking over and over and over and over again to get your sins forgiven. Confession means saying thank you to God!

~ “Is Jesus going to shed his blood again? How many times did he shed his blood? And for how many people? How many people? For how long? You mean every person that’s ever been born and every person who will be born? You died for them? Okay, now, without the shedding of blood, there’s no forgiveness and there’s no more shedding of blood. What do you have to conclude about the one time that he did shed his blood? What do you have to conclude about that? It’s finished. What did Jesus cry out from the cross? It’s finished. He didn’t mean guys, your crucifixion is about to work. He meant my work has completed. There he who knew no sin became sin for you and me, so that we, who are in Christ Jesus could become the righteousness of God. And when it’s finished, it’s done. Do you believe that?… Click to Read More And Follow Along With The Message
